Due to the nature of live  programming the ratings for NBC (NFL Football), CBS (Football Overrun) & FOX (MLB Baseball) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

NBC was number one among adults 18-49, but CBS won with total viewers.

On NBC, Sunday Night Football (Steelers-Bengals)  from 8:30-11:00PM earned a 6.0 adults 18-49

On ABC,  America's Funniest Home Videos earned a 1.3, down from last week's 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. Once Upon A Time garnered a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating, up from last week's 3.0. Most of your predictions were too pessimistic! Revenge scored 2.8, up  from last week's 2.6 adults 18-49 rating. 666 Park Avenue scored a 1.8, up from last week's 1.5 adults 18-49 rating.

On CBS, the start of all primetime shows were delayed approximately 57 minutes due to Football overtime, increasing the likelihood that the ratings will be adjusted in the finals. From 7-8PM,  NFL Football earned a 7.6 adults 18-49 rating. 60 Minutes earned a 3.5 adults 18-49 raitng The Amazing Race earned a 2.3, down three tenths from last week's 2.6 adults 18-49 rating and a new low for a fall original. The Good Wife scored a  1.9, up two tenths from last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

CBS with their overruns is annoying. I set my Dvr to catch The Good Wife and all I got was the race which I promptly deleted. You would think that by now they would have figured outback way to adjust to the inconsistencies of football.
Besides that, super happy that all my ABC shows are up. Holding up very well against all the sports.

  • Sammy

Bill gorman (the fake one) & Max are the same guys…

  • THE OLD MAN

    @ THE REAL BILL GORMAN

Technical difficulty was experienced on the Fri prelim post between 6AM & 7AM as several of my posts were not added & there were some posts that were somehow lost (the one by Justin 121).

Are you aware of the snafu & are you able to retrieve what was lost?

You would think that by now I would have figured out how to set my DVR to adjust to the inconsistencies of football.

    Fixed it for you!

  • Richard

@ sammy i dont think those are the same guys
and the next bill gorman isnt him either. another person just did that

and I am the one who said i was robert seidman

    @Babgygate

By the way, the correct answer on doubleheader nights is to set your DVR for 9:30-11pm to record The Good Wife.

  • Max

Yay, Scandal cancelled! The worst show on TV is finally gone. I just wanted to see how it would do without the Grey’s lead in for one week. Perhaps it would get 0.0 in the demo?

  • jr

The Mentalist started at 10:55. Crazy

YEEESSSS!!! Goooooo REVENGE and ONCE!! I’m incredibly happy to see the both of them UP this week. Revenge especially is up from Season 1 which is actually a fantastic feat for a serialized show such as itself. I believe a 2.8 is matches Revenge’s 3rd highest rating of the series so far.

ABC made such a brilliant decision to place these two shows together. Last night’s episodes from both shows were awesome!

@Max …and the woes of REVENGE continue.

Because going up is a BAD thing?? Most shows would be happy to go up, but according to you Revenge going UP is death for the show. You really do have a bee in your bonnet about Revenge, don’t you?

  • iMember

Also, it’s really nice to see 666 Park Avenue climb up. I hope Last Resort can do that this week two. 666 has improved really well since the Pilot.

  • Danielle

Very pleased with the rebound for OUAT. Now that’s more like it. :)

  • Richard

haha love the fake max impersonator

  • Mike

Good wife stinks this season. 666 park ave has to get its due. Last nights ep was just good TV…plain and simple.

  • Ally

Revenge was fantastic last night so I am glad to see it did well. I live on the east coast and TGW started at 9:55. Won’t their ratings be adjusted to account for those 5 minutes of AR? 666 Park could still beat it even if it gets adjusted down.

  • Phil

Animation Domination was missing last night! Not fair!

Yes; also, the shows air in their normal timeslots out west, so that will be accounted for as well.

Essentially, the preliminary ratings for FOX, NBC and CBS are mostly worthless.

I find that my username works REALLY WELL today

  • Dan S

I’m surprised Bill Gorman hasn’t blocked the troll using his name. Even if I don’t like a show I don’t go around announcing its cancellation just to be a snot. Otherwise good for ABC bouncing back up in the ratings last night. 666 seems to have bottomed out so it’ll be interesting if it can get back to 2.0 to justify it staying on the air.
