Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Revenge will get a 3rd season, it won’t suffer from the 2-season curse of many amazing ABC shows of the past few years. That should be enough for 666PA to air all of its 13 episodes. Wonder if Red Widow or Mistresses can do better in that timeslot.

  • Albi

That seems like an incredibly low rating for a baseball playoff game

  • kul65

The hell? So because The Mentalist airs an hour late, we don’t get any ratings for it at all? I guess if they exclude this presumed pratfall from the season average, that’s a good thing though. :S

  • Skylar

wow, The Good Wife skews OLD.

  • SherLOCKED

    wait..NO new Mentalist last night?

  • Mickey

Really happy to see OUAT still doing so well, what an entertaining show. With all the fairy tale stuff out there these days, OUAT is the one that got it right.

I just got into Revenge seeing as it’s on after OUAT. It’s pretty addictive too! Glad to see it’s got good ratings.

  • Phil

Do your bosses get excited when your job performance is a tenth better the following week?

There’s nothing to see here, folks.

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Bill Gorman

“I’m surprised Bill Gorman hasn’t blocked the troll using his name.”

I wasn’t reading these comments today, but he’s gone now. There were two different ones, I guess fakes come in waves. AFAIK it wasn’t Max.

“Technical difficulty was experienced on the Fri prelim post between 6AM & 7AM as several of my posts were not added & there were some posts that were somehow lost (the one by Justin 121).

Are you aware of the snafu & are you able to retrieve what was lost?”

    No, and no.

  • r0ckmypants

@Albi – There’s no rating posted for the game, just the pre-game.

  • Dan S

    @ Bill Gorman, Thank You

    @ Skylar

You’re not actually just realizing this are you? There is some youth involvement in there somewhere, just not enough (for any other show not TGW!).

  • Joe

omg the plot of OUAT is gettin better and better Cora and C Hook just amazing :X

  • #1MentalistFan

Will the ratings for The Mentalist be up in final ratings post for sunday?

  • Mickey

ABC made such a brilliant decision to place these two shows together. Last night’s episodes from both shows were awesome!

Yep, that was a brilliant decision. That’s how they got me to watch Revenge.

It’s funny on the surface they don’t seem to have much in common, but they have the same “guilty pleasure” addictive quality, and strong female leads with great ensemble casts, and good guys vs bad guys duking it out in a small town. I can see them appealing to the same audience.

    @ Bill G

And the real Bill finally shows himself! Thanks, mate!

Are you blocking the Robert S troll, too? Glad you’re back BTW.

  • Ultima

Revenge will get a 3rd season, it won’t suffer from the 2-season curse of many amazing ABC shows of the past few years.

ABC’s second season shows aren’t “cursed.” They’ve had a lack of success and gave out mercy renewals to token low-rated freshman dramas which very predictably did worse in their second season and were canceled (or bizarrely renewed yet again in Body of Proof’s case).

  • Freddy Arrow

“You would think that by now they would have figured outback way to adjust to the inconsistencies of football.”

Move to the West Coast. I never have any problems with over runs. :)

  • Cyrax86

@Ultima, Yes I know, but they were all great (Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, V etc.) and ended way too prematurely in my opinion. Body of Proof cheated death but I wouldn’t bet on a 4th season at all.

  • JD

Revenge was the best ep this season, glad it’s upppp. Kind of hope 666 gets adjusted down, if it’s competing with Last Resort for a possible spot. They’re both low rated, but with Private Practice ending and Scandal dropping a ton of its lead-in, one may have a shot. Last Resort is the better show.

  • swalker

Stephen Amell on his twitter tweeted that Arrow got picked up for a full season.
