    Guys, whoever are bashing GG and 90210 numbers, let me remind you, these are not the numbers that CW actually cares about. W18 – 34 are what matters and I believe those numbers look a little more “respectable” than these numbers.

    “let me remind you, these are not the numbers that CW actually cares about. W18 – 34 are what matters and I believe those numbers look a little more “respectable” than these numbers.”

    Any data to back that up, or just crazy fan guessing?

    “Will there be a post were we predict Happy Endings/Apt 23 ratings for tonight?”

    Yes! http://bit.ly/QEsNoT

    I’m still confused as to how The Voice did better than DWTS when DWTS got way more viewers…I think I might just give up…I don’t understand it. haha

  • Auu

    PLEASE CW! Just announce 90210′s final season and give Nikita the Monday spot!

  • Holly

    @Bill,

    Any data to back that up, or just crazy fan guessing?

    Someone recently posted the 18-34 numbers for CW….maybe on my twitter feed…I don’t remember the #s for GG and 90210, but I remember thinking that Beauty and the Beast did better in those numbers than the 18-49 suggested.

    If I get bored I might try to find those.

    Last night Gossip Girl W18-34 = 0.8 and 90210 = 0.7 (both finals), last week Hart of Dixie = 0.9 W18-34 and Emily Owens = 0.8 (both prelim). So…I vote crazy fan guessing!

  • torylicious

    90210 was atrocious last night even GG was pretty enterteinig

    90210 is so boring

    @ Holly

    Here are some 18-34 numbers for CW…(Nothing for Monday shows)

    10/9/12
    Hart of Dixie (CW) ………….. 0.5/2 A18-34; 0.7/2 W18-34

    10/10/12

    Arrow (CW) …………………. 1.1/4 A18-34; 1.3/4 W18-34
    Supernatural (CW) …………… 1.0/3 A18-34; 1.0/3 W18-34

    10/11/12

    The Vampire Diaries (CW) …….. 1.7/6 A18-34; 2.6/8 W18-34
    Beauty and the Beast (CW) ……. 1.1/3 A18-34; 1.6/4 W18-34

    10/18/12

    The Vampire Diaries (CW) …….. 1.5/5 A18-34; 2.2/7 W18-34
    Beauty and the Beast (CW) ……. 0.7/2 A18-34; 1.0/3 W18-34

    @Bill or Robert,

    The preliminary ratings thread usually lists the network averages for 18-49 and 18-34 demo in the scoreboard. Why is the scoreboard not included in the finals thread?

  • Holly

    Found it. From The Futon Critic for this last week (Oct 15-19):

    The CW’s target demo (women 18-34) ratings this week: 1.9 (Vampire Diaries), 1.1 (Beast), 1.0 (90210, Arrow, Supernatural), Dixie (0.9)…

    The CW’s target demo ratings this week (continued): 0.8 (Emily Owens, Gossip Girl), 0.7 (Top Model), 0.4 (Nikita).

    So 90210 had the same 18-34 number as Arrow and Supernatural…

  • SPM

    90210 only ever did well when Shannen & Jennie from the original were in it.

  • gary

    switch at birth 0.8 90210 0.4

    90210 is pathethic

  • zilla-rilla

    i seem to remember a time when gossip girl was getting mid-3′s – low 4′s in the W18-34 demo… i believe it was the start of the second season

  • KS

    @Bill Gorman

    Any data to back that up, or just crazy fan guessing?

    Doesn’t my post imply it was just a guess? And yeah, I am right, GG and 90210 W18 – 34 numbers(official CW demo) are certainly looking better than their A18 -49 numbers. At least good enough to give 90210 give a final season, just like Gossip Girl, without the fear of falling to a zero line in its final season.

  • Kellix

    GG fans sit down! Only reason why GG had more viewers than 90210 is because GG had no competition in its time slot! Not to mention that it beat 90210 by a little tiny bit of viewers. The fact that GG can even get 1million viewers without any competition to go against its pathetic! What a joke! At lest 90210 can still pull in 1mill viewers.

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Robert Seidman

    Eradipo: it can’t be replicated based on the finals data we regularly receive.

    @KS: I don’t want to discourage you from talking when you have no idea what you’re talking about, and you’ve gone this long so I doubt I could if I wanted to, but you don’t seem to understand the concept of relative ratings.

    Are 90210′s W18-34 ratings better than its 18-49 rating in the absolute? Yes. Just like pretty much *every other CW show.*

    But do 90210s relative ratings (compared to all CW’s other shows) really improve if you look at W18-34 instead of A18-49? It turns out there is data, and the data posted by several other suggests “no.”

  • Kellix

    @Gary

    Take a seat! 90210 is on its fith season. Switch at birth is in its first season!

  • Lauren90

    As a fan of GG I will even admit it should have finished last season but they gave it a final fairwell. 90210 is doing even worse than GG did in its fifth season. They just need to announce it as the final season so they can give the fans the ending they deserve which I think The CW will do!

    Really enjoyed Arrow on Sky1 last night! At last a great show CW

  • CrimTV

    @Lauren90

    I watched Arrow on Sky1 too in the UK! It was good, not amazing but defiantly staying on for a series link :D
