The Voice and MLB Baseball were each adjusted up a tenth among adults 18-49 versus Monday's preliminary ratings. National ratings for the Presidential Debate have been sustained by Nielsen as it ran without commercials, but you can find the final numbers for each network's "analysis" segment below.

@ Bill Gorman….Sustained is the word Nielsen and the rest of the TV industry uses, and it means, as Amanda noted, that it ran without commercials.
But it’s NOT the word the rest of the lay people your website is targeting would understand the usage of, nor does the dictionary support the way your writer used the word. If Nielsen stupidly uses this word to reference the fact that a program runs without commecials, I guess they are referring to the idea that the content was “sustained” without commerical interruption. Pretty ironic, since it’s the commercial revenue that keeps the programs on the air. The word seems to favor commerical-free airing. Whatever.
My point remains that the word “sustain” will be misunderstood by the vast majority of people reading your site, unless you want to be a blog just for industry eggheads? Have some consideration and objectivity as to who is reading your content! As such, my “tirade” was not “riduclous” at all!!
personally i enjoy 90210, LOVE the cast and really want the show to keep going, damn it!

Glad this is the last season for Gossip Girl.. I hope Kristen Bell makes a cameo before the season is over.
