Go CBS!!
Will there be any revelation what so ever about The Mentalist for this one?
where is the mentalist?
Is CBS trying to kill The Mentalist?
666 needs to be exorcised from ABC’s schedule.
Can someone please give me the mentalist ratings. It was just bfore 11pm so they should be on here.
CBS should have just preempted the mentalist
Did The Mentalist air in all time zones on Sunday? Are its ratings not available because it aired outside of primetime?
Last Resort 4-week track: 2.2, 1.9, 1.6, 1.7 = 1.85
666 Park Avenue 4-week track: 2.1, 1.7, 1.5, 1.7 = 1.75
Both are getting canned, but luckily for ABC, neither is a Pan Am-type disaster (yet).
At least 666 wasn’t down from last weeks 1.5. I’m okay with it staying though, makes my other ABC shows look good.
@SJ
“Both are getting canned, but luckily for ABC, neither is a Pan Am-type disaster (yet).”
Unlike both Last Resort and 666, Pan Am didn’t dip below 1.8 until its 7th episode. Its average for its first 4 episodes was 2.35.
So what is it with CBS? Is it their normal practice to kick around a perfectly good show like The Mentalist, destroying its ratings so no one else will want to buy it?
Good for Race. I figured it had to adjust up since there was 4 minutes of the lower-rated Good Wife in the East coast ratings, and the full hour in the West coast preliminary ratings. Happy its pretty stable (down just a single tenth from a 2.7 for the same episode last year)
Pan Am was certainly more successful than 666 and LR, which isn’t saying much, but it’s SOMEthing.
@WN
TNT already bought the mentalist
Bring Back Pan Am!
@touchsucks. Sorry I wasn’t clear. I just meant that its ratings are good enough to be sold to another main network. I’ve also heard rumours the show has been renewded for 2 years, so who knows.
@WN
just simon baker says that
@Freddy Arrow
Yes, but Pan Am had a solid sampling which inflated its average early on. Besides, it wasn’t so much the raw numbers that was the problem with Pan Am in the first few weeks, it was the trend. It opened high, crashed in episodes 2 and 3 and then just stayed in the 1.8-1.9 range for a few weeks before falling further. Both LR and 666PA rose this week. It ain’t much, but it’s something…
RRROOOAAARRR-I think the Cancellation Bear smells blood on Sundays! And 666 is his new, fresh meat!
Such a shame about 666. I’m really enjoying it so far, largely due to the brilliant Terry O’Quinn. I can’t help but think that both it and Last Resort needed better timeslots to gain the type of audience they needed to thrive. Hopefully ABC will give at least one of the two the benefit of the doubt. Maybe even move them to a better time or night.
