SEASON-TO-DATE, “FACE THE NATION” IS FIRST IN VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54 AND HOUSEHOLDS (TIED)
CBS News’ FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER was the #1 public affairs show on Sunday, Oct. 21, placing first in viewers and households (tied with NBC). The CBS broadcast posted a 2.1/06 in households, 2.95m viewers and 0.7/03 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Editor’s Note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 47% of the CBS affiliates.
Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers (3.02m), adults 25-54 (0.8/03) and households (2.2/06, tied with NBC) among the Sunday morning public affairs shows. Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +10% in both households (2.2/06 from 2.0/05) and viewers (3.02m from 2.73m) compared to last season.
Bob Schieffer anchored the broadcast live from Lynn University, the site of the third presidential debate, in Boca Raton, Fla. Schieffer interviewed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter and Kevin Madden, senior adviser to the Romney campaign. Schieffer also hosted a political roundtable with Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan, Time magazine columnist Rick Klein, New York Times chief Washington correspondent David Sanger and CBS News Political Director John Dickerson.
