Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I find it impressive that people are still watching CSI.

  • Ashley

it’ll be interesting to see if SPN dropped in the second half once people realized that Sam and Dean weren’t even in it lol

  • LisaM

I hope SPN did poorly because people heard it was not the usual story. Get the boys, Crowley, Cas, and Kevin and his mom back. There was a story growing there.

Wow I Hope The Middle Goes up.

  • CrimTV

Looks like Chicago Fire and The Neighbors will be around for longer than everyone anticipated last week when they faced large drops!

  • dantas

Just a smile cracker: you guys remember when 1.1 and 0.7 were the worst night on the CW? :)

  • Jess

    Arrow was fantastic last night.

  • danny94

Nice that nashville is steady but it’s still early days.

  • Wright

Still not bad for Arrow and SPN. I liked the approach SPN took in the episode. It was a nice change of pace.

  • Lonesome Rhodes

    good to see Nashville steady

more importantly, The Neighbors needs to perk up, but at least its not dropping anymore. It’s a great mix of silly-smart, and I wish people would give it a chance. I tuned in to hate watch, but its easily the best new comedy on the networks

  • Percysowner

Supernatural was an odd episode last night, probably either a love it or hate it episode. It also went off on a character development that I personally don’t like and other viewers are expressing concern about. I hope SPN can pull back up next week when we get back to the regular format. Arrow is still doing reasonably well, so yay.

  • HB

    Still not bad for Arrow!
    Nashville held up han.. good!
Modern Family’s episode wasn’t that great last night!

  • Katie

It was expected with last night episode of SPN^^; Still better than most of the CW in term of ratings anyway.

Let’s just hope people will come back next week instead of going out on Halloween night

  • KS

Guys, Supernatural episode wasn’t that bad. I simply don’t understand the negative reaction. I think, our fandom is too old to enjoy this teen episode.

  • POI

I think world series factored in the drop of arrow i may be wrong though but im a fan and i need to believe that.

  • danny94

I guess those extra viewers for supernatural were just people who couldent find the remote after arrow.

  • marcos

and I never thought I would but I’m really enjoying The Neighbors. it’s really funny and entertaining. love the whole ABC lineup. I hope Modern family can be adjusted up and crack 5.0

  • SarahL

Hang in there, The Neighbors! I just love this show. It was hilarious last night. Our Dick is next door learning to make tricks from the neighbors. Bwah! Those Dick jokes never get old.

    Happy Halloween-ween, everyone!

  • were123

Arrow did very good, 1.1 is still CW’s 2nd best rated show.
The Middle is rock solid! Very happy about it, although I’d love to see it rising even further. Can’t understand why The Neighbors is holding so still, I thought it would be long gone by now!
Didn’t see coming that Nashville held on to it’s audience or that Chicago Fire shot up that much, maybe there’s hope for both shows (although Chicago Fire is looking better).
Guys with kids is pulling Up all Night numbers, and if Up all Night managed to grow this week to 1.4 (or 1.5, which I don’t see happening, but would love to see), then probably we’ll see them switch in the renew/cancel index

  • Tabitha

I love SPN but that had to have been the worst episode I have ever seen. Arrow still good.
