Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Sugarcoat

Looks like Chicdo Fire will be in for the long haul.
Great news. Amazing epsidoe last night.

  • Tessa

I agree Richard Castle. Whatever that was they aired last night it wasn’t Supernatural. I’m glad it went down. Should teach the show runners a lesson never to do this kind of thing again.

  • iMember

I hope Arrow gets adjusted UP in the finals.

Also, great numbers for Suburgatory still, and happy Nashville stayed steady. Great episodes from them last night. Suburgatory continues its streak of making great Holiday episodes.

  • KS

Can anyone tell me, why, CW ratings are very jerky this season? They never used to fall more than a tenth or rarely two in just one week, not that I remember. But this season there are drastic falls from episode to episode.

  • Holly

    Good night all around.

    CBS stayed steady overall.

ABC got a couple of bumps and Nashville didn’t drop (which would have been normal for a third episode).

Chicago Fire rose enough to keep it mostly out of trouble.

And Arrow had only a small drop.

  • The old Woman

That’s more like it for SPN. These are expected numbers. The show is tired and boring now.

Those are not nice numbers for Nashville given the amount of promotion for the show.

  • Leoben Conoy

    a 2.0 for The Neighbors!

    loves it

(but I have a bad feeling ABC is going to move it Tuesday to die, in order to save HE or A23)

  • hammard

It would be interesting to see the gender splits, as X-Factor would skew highly female and the World Series highly male, I wonder if that caused NBC and ABC to move up and CW and CBS to move down…

  • alim

good for abc comedies. people are creating a fuss about the fact that nashiville is steady, its not good, compare it to revenge in that slot last year. it will get cancelled. hope criminal minds goes up.

  • Michael

Arrow may be down, but its still performing really well!

What happened with SPN, though? O.o 0.7 isn’t terrible, but the expectations are higher because they have such a big fan-base.

  • Steve-A

I never understand why people root for low ratings. How old are you Old Woman?

  • forg

I was hoping for higher for ABC comedies but they’re flat from last week so that’s OK, this season is just tough overall

  • jT

lol the neighbors will be the reason happy endings gets canceled.

  • Pepper

I loved Supernatural last night but am not surprised that a lot of people didn’t like it. I think it’ll bounce back up to 0.8 or 0.9 next week

  • Lisa

Whats the half hours for Arrow and SPN?

  • Rocco

American Horror Story has become as distasteful to watch as Sons of Anarchy, so Nashville now gets my full attention on Wednesday night at 10. I just hope FX doesn’t ruin Justified, too.

  • eridapo

Glad Supernatural went down. Where were Sam and Dean? They seem to be the Guess Stars instead of the actual leads.

  • katherine

Old Woman: It’s far from tired and boring, thank you very much.

  • Richard castle

    @ michael

supernatural had an off episode. it was a filler-episode that had nothing to do with the show or its storyline, thats why the 0.7 i bet it started at a 0.9 and dropped to a 0.6 because thats how bad it was

  • Maria

Those ratings are not great for SVU. They made a great deal of the fact that it was the 300th episode and did tons of promotion of various TV and radio shows and they still only managed at 1.8. The dramatic drop in ratings in seasons 13 and 14 should tell NBC that this very expensive show has reached its limit. They still can make money with syndication of seasons 1-12 on USA.
