Wow. This was way early today. Good for the Middle

  • David

Baseball probably hurt Arrow and SPN a little bit, but we won’t know that until next week. Either way, this night will be competing against their Thursday night lineup in the ratings and that was not the case last year so they have to be happy.

Finally The Middle was adjusted up… \o/

  • David

Also, I think baseball will be completely on cable soon because they will not recover in the coming years and have a ratings surge so I doubt FOX wants to continue forking over the cash.

The Middle is doing great! I wonder maybe ABC should have left Suburgatory at 8:30 because maybe it could have done better there than after Modern Family where it’s looking weak just every other comedies that aired at 9:30. It seems many people just watch TV because of Modern Family and don’t care what airs after it. Though, that’s solid for Suburgatory. Maybe next season it will be back to 8:30.

  • Auu

At least the CW wasn’t adjusted down. I was hoping for an upward adjustment! BTW SPN haters, the episode was great. In order to keep a show running for several seasons, attracting new viewers, you should find new ways of storytelling and different approaches to these kind of episodes. :D

  • Clarke

Great for the Middle! Still deserves way better ratings though, I wish it got more recognition. Glad the Neighbors stayed at a 2.0 and also went up in Total Viewers.

GWK isn’t doing terribly by NBC standards. That being said, if the show doesn’t improve ratings wise when it gets paired with Whitney it will get the axe.

  • Ike

@David, but the fact that a lot of people watch baseball live instead of DVRing it partly makes up for the falling ratings.

Anyway, I’ve heard that the playoffs will go to Fox’s new sports cable channel soon. But the World Series itself will stay on Fox, undoubtedly.

I actually missed Arrow yesterday but my brother said it awesome! Supernatural was different. It felt like Jared and Jensen were the guest starts on their own show.

Bye Bye Nashville, the Cancellation Bear is coming. ABC will cancel soon.

Better to Follow The Bear, Than Be Chased By Him. This season you can follow the Cancellation Bear on Twitter via @TheCancelBear. The Cancellation Bear will retweet all the Renew/Cancel Index post titles and links as well as engage in a little more back and forth banter than we do on our standard @TVbytheNumbers Twitter feed.

Darn. It was a crappy episode up against the World Series but I still wanted Supernatural to adjust up, darn it! Ah well. I just hope the viewers come back next week. Next week looks awesome!

  • Chris

Recognizing that Arrow is on CW, and Animal Practice is on NBC, it’s still hilarious that Arrow couldn’t even beat that. I mean, AP is already canceled.

There are ginormous billboards promoting Arrow, all over New York City. It got like ten times the promotional boost Animal Practice did.

It should ALSO be canceled. It’s a flop. Even on CW.

  • ingmarhappy

Love how steady Criminal Minds is. Solid crime drama.

  • MDM

Happy the Middle is doing so well. ABC needs to keep it where it is as it is definitely helping The Neighbors where Suburgatory probably would not.

  • Survivor Fan

This is the first time in a while that we have not been adjusted up!

    @ Bill or Robert

Did Survivor skew more female this week than last (WS vs. X Factor)?

  • The End

    @Auu

I have Supernatural down for hitting 10 seasons. But also have The Neighbors down for eventual cancellation with my predictions. Guess I’ve been fortunate that 97 percent of my predictions on here have been correct, just need to wait patiently and watch things unfold lol.

  • James

Why is Arrow a 1.1 this week with 3.51m viewers and last week they had 3.55m viewers (4000 viewers more than this week)and got a 1.3???????

  • Tessa

    Wow, I’m called a SPN hater. That’s a first.

@Auu, listen buddy. I’ve been a more passionate fan of the show around here than anyone you sneeze at, but that episode last night was garbage. I have no problem with them coming up with new ideas as long as those ideas are good. Showing a steaming pile of crap on shaky camera might be new but it definitely won’t win the show new viewers as the ratings have proven.

  • Bee

how is CSI still pulling a 2.4? i’m not hating, just wondering. who is still watching this show? NOOO ONE talks about it ever.

  • charmedcraft

Hope SPN bounces back next week.
