    Criminal Minds is steady but falling vs. last season that’s why i think it will be moving to Friday next season.

  • danny94

    Yes happy about the middle! One of the most underated shows on t.v along with parenthood.

    Fox will air the ALCS next year then the new deal with MLB starts in 2014. Fox will broadcast one division series and one league championship series on cable (probably on Fox Sports 1 after Speed is rebranded). Fox will air 14 Saturday games under the new contract instead of 26, plus the All-Star Game and the World Series. Fox’s cable channel gets the added programming.

    Happy for Guys Worh Kids!!!! No if it can hold on until Whitbey comes back, I presume GWK will do better paired with it. But I’m sure next week it will take a tumble since its Halloween, I just hope it’s not too bad

    And wasnt Happy Endings getting better numbers this time last year? So year over year Suburgatory is underperforming, if course

    @Mickey

    You are absolutely correct with your reasoning, and in my opinion you have nothing to prove to anyone. I heard people mentioning a shaky camera with this episode? A lot of people hate that, infact a lot of people generally find it to be a poor choice of filming.

    “Criminal Minds is steady but falling vs. last season that’s why i think it will be moving to Friday next season.”

    Almost no chance of that. It’s still CBS’s #3 drama, and Friday’s going to get really crowded with shows awaiting syndication next season, Blue Bloods is a lock, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Hawaii Five-0 there next season.

    “how is CSI still pulling a 2.4? i’m not hating, just wondering. who is still watching this show? NOOO ONE talks about it ever.”

    Your parents?

    If your mother was a child bride, your grandparents?

    Looks like all Arrow’s fans have checked out Supernatural now and are not interested in seeing it again. Back to what it was doing last year, not that that’s so bad by CW standards.

    Also Suburgatory is preforming worse than Happy Endings did out of Modern Family. Happy Endings was doing at least 3.0 for most of the fall. Shame ABC sent it away to die.

  • Oliver

    The Neighbors isn’t exactly a flop, but losing 25% of your lead-in wedged between a minor hit and a megahit isn’t exactly great either.

    I know, retentionista, blah blah blah. It would be irrelevant if it was doing well in absolute terms, but it isn’t, it’s squarely on the bubble.

    At mid-season, I’d like to see ABC put Suburgatory back between The Middle and Modern Family and put How To Live With Your Parents at 9:30.

    Let’s not forget Modern Family was in the high 5s all of last fall. The crappy retention is still the same.

    Nsshville is still safe with a 2.0. What ABC 10:00 program is performing better? It took ABC many seasons (until last season’s Revenge) to find well performing 10:00 dramas on Wednesday. So if Nashville maintains or stays close to a 2.0, I believe ABC will save it. Nashville is a high quality serial drama with some fine performances.

    The Middle is one of (if not, THE) funniest family sitcom on tv today. Sometimes even funnier than Modern.

    Thanks, I appreciate that.

    Yes, the ep was done in the found footage style. I read the guest stars actually manned the handheld video cameras. So it wasn’t just shaky, half the time people’s heads were cut off, and it would jerk around dizzyingly, and the visual and audio quality were often really bad.

    Some people are completely unbothered by it. It’s too bad some of them can’t understand that some of us are. I couldn’t watch Cloverfield because of it. The friend I was with had to run to the bathroom and throw up.

    I don’t understand why filmmakers use it, except back in the Blair Witch days it was a novelty. But now, even the director of the Bourne movies was criticized by TV critics for prefering shaky cameras to steady cams.

    Maybe it’s not a bad idea to revive TGIF. Neighbors would be a good fit on Fri & move Suburgatory back to 8:30pm. They could then move either HE or Apt 23 back to Wed after MF. Shark Tank could relocate to Thur at 8pm since nothing else seems to work there. Hopefully Last Resort could get moved to Sun & replace 666 which obviously is losing a big chunk of its lead in from Revenge.

  • JRG

    Lowest amount of viewers since at least 1985 for the World Series

  • Oliver

    @Dan S

    Putting Last Resort up against the end of football seems like a bad idea.

    I think baseball and the specific episode (which was not a normal Supernatural episode) had more to do with it. It held steady at 1.0 for two weeks, so Arrow fans didn’t immediately bail on it. I think it’ll go back up again next week, people are saying the preview looks great.

  • omabin

    So many adjustments up and no adjustments down, that’s nice

  • forg

    I was hoping for a 5.0 for MF, but still with low ratings across the board this season, I’m satisfied with the ratings already. Yes for The Middle! Neighbors is holding on and for what is worth Suburgatory is not behaving like the usual post-MF show that more often than not get an adjustment down in the finals

  • tia

    @zac no-the reason was alot of the original spn fans ckd out was because we knew for 3 weeks that last nights episode would be light sam and dean and done with a shakey camera. those who are full fledged original spn fans would have ck’d out this week because sam and dean were not in the show. in others words the episode was not a spn epiosode so fans ck’d out this week. they will be back next week -in droves.

    @Mickey

    Whenever story gets into college kids, yeah, there would be melodrama. That’s unavoidable. And yeah, college kids are part of America and they have been ignored so far on the series and they “deserve” some horror stories too.

    This is the first time we saw an episode from the victim’s perspective. And may be that is why Sam and Dean chose to spare her. I wonder, if the episode went in the usual investigation format, she would have been dead by now.

    Above all, CW really wants to skew youngsters and episodes like this would serve the purpose. I am 19 year old male and I found this episode interesting, not the best one though.

    What I really found interesting is the way, they actually took the supernatural events happened to them. Not the usual reaction we get on every episode from the victims. They seem to be quite adjusted and they have taken decisions with a sound mind. One of them was even happy to turn into one.

    I have seen a series called “The River” and that one was with even more shaky camera stuff. But yeah, I liked it.
