    @Sam

    Rasmussen poll has predicted the Presidential winner correctly more times than any other poll.

  • Mark2

    @Diamondback

    Just to let you know, I’m secretly rooting for Romney because I will win a lot of money on Intrade and I’ll get to laugh at Romney and the Republicans for the next 4 years, lol. Like I mentioned a couple of days ago, it doesn’t matter who the President is the National Debt will go up at least another 4 Trillion in the next 4 years.

  • Mark2

    @Diamondback “Rasmussen poll has predicted the Presidential winner correctly more times than any other poll”

    That’s funny. You really don’t have a clue do you? You need to do a little more research on that one. The first thing you want to check out is how long Rasmussen has been around.

  • Matthew

    @letmethink: That’s fair to ask, and true, for the last two weeks or so I’ve been spending way too much time at my computer. The truth is, real life just hasn’t been going well for me – I’ve taken a serious financial blow having to get surgery for one of my dogs and get my car fixed, and the last three months or so has been a series non-stop stressful situations. I didn’t have enough spare money to even take classes this semester, which was fine, because I didn’t feel emotionally up to it (I pay as I go, I don’t take loans). I’m actually on vacation until next Tuesday, I used up all of my vacation days because I’ve been so physically ill from stress and anxiety. Unfortunately, I’ve wasted most of that vacation helping my dog and sitting at the computer.

  • Matthew

    BTW- things aren’t as bad as that post makes them sound. Anxiety was giving me acid reflux so bad that I could barely eat for a while, and I wasn’t sleeping, but I’m mostly back to normal now thanks to medication and spending time with my family; I actually spend a large chunk of my day lazing in the sun and trying to help my dog restore full walking function. I’m doing a lot better, I’m just posting here waaaaaaaaaay too much.

  • Letmethink

    Matthew, so sorry to hear your issues. As a dog lover (3 rescue dogs), I totally understand the anxiety with your pet, financial stress and illness on top of that. Glad you have a family to help you out. I hope things get better for you for you as you are one bright guy. I always admire how you disagree so tactfully and with solid facts. If I knew you, I would be watching your future with great interest. I just wish you were a conservative–I mean I have to be honest–right? Gosh, I think I am beginning to sound like your mother.
    One suggestion, shut down the computer, have a nice meal and go to bed. Give your dog a scratch behind the ear for me and relax.

  • Mark2

    @Matthew

    That’s why I bet on Romney a while back…so that I win either way, lol.

  • Sam

    @ diamondback,

    “Rasmussen poll has predicted the Presidential winner correctly more times than any other poll.”

    All polls predicts the winner correctly as we get closer to the elections. Rasmussen always have republicans with unrealistic bumps. This election is very unique because it’s tight so if Rasmussen give Romney a 2 points leads, he’s probably tied with Obama or even tailing. CNN polls were the most accurate to predict last election’s margins.

  • d.d

    Matthew,

    I care about you , as most do on this board. We all have stressful periods in our life, where not enough money , illness , & loss, bring us to a stall. You’re going to improve, I’m 100% sure, for you have values & goals. Be kinder to yourself, for you have a lot to offer this world.

    I’m also a dog lover, just not at this this moment. I ger home & she’s been in the toilet paper rolls again.

    Letmethink, What a nice ,wise, response !

  • Mark2

    O’Reilly looked like a fool demanding answers from the President on Lybia. He was starting to sound like Rush or Hannity.

  • DB

    matthew, hang in there man. If you are putting your dog first you are my kind of guy. I’ll even ignore your politics(you’ll wise up when you get older). I do hope the dog and your overall situation improves. You are a good person. We have all gone thru the tough times– they seem to come in threes. Better times are coming. I believe almost all of us are rooting for you. I am rooting for you and your dog. Hope the puppy recovers fully.

  • DB

    I can’t stand it, Mark2 called someone a fool. Mark2, do you own any mirrors??

  • Matthew

    @d.d., letmethink: Thanks for the kind words, and honestly, things are mostly better. I’m not a full-time student, I can’t afford to be. I work the night-shift at a distribution warehouse, and take classes here and there when I can afford it. Problem is, I spent most of the Spring and Summer burning the candle at both ends, and my irregular sleep schedule finally started catching up with me, on top of all of my other problems.

    I’ve definitely spent too much time following politics, watching youtube, and posting on forums (both here and elsewhere) arguing with people though, so I think I’ll take your advice and give the Internet a break.

  • Matthew

    @DB: Almost went away and missed your post – thank you, I really appreciate it. Okay, this time I’ll disappear for real :twisted:

  • Letmethink

    Thank you dd. Like DB, I think any dog lover has to be a good person. I’ve been a Matthew admirer since he started posting even though i don’t agree ideologically with much that he posts.
    I also understand about the toilet paper roll. Two of our dogs are puppies and they give us a run for our money. The other is a 13 year old blind diabetic dog. We have had her since she was 8 weeks old. It is amazing how well she has adapted to loosing her sight and how great she is about her shots.

    The corrupt lib. media didn’t say one word about the timeline of the attacks in Libya. They didn’t mention Libya at all. I know it is on FOX but watching the timeline and the inaction from the White House is shocking.

    Obama froze, he is great at ordering hits with drones or pulling the trigger on Bin Laden with planning.

    When it came time to make a hard call in Libya he choked big time. Now I know why they were so anxious to cover the attack up.

    It must be nice to have the corrupt lib. media carry your water for you. They are ignoring the scandal because they know O. would be finished if they reported it.

  • Mark2

    @SP

    Lybia has been covered by every single News Station, even MSNBC. The difference is that FOX News just keeps running it into the ground. News is called news for a reason. Fox just keeps it alive with their own conspiracies. Are you guys becoming the new “9/11 Truthers” that you guys so much despised? LOL

  • Sicilian Papa

    Imagine that O. can only survive with a corrupt lib. media covering up for him. It will always be tougher for our side. We have to play by a different set of rules and we still have a better than 50-50 chance of beating President Empty Suit.

    At least two of the victims families have expressed anger at the uncaring way they have been treated by O. Not one word from the corrupt lib. media about the statements made by the families.

    If the media reported this O. would be finished!!!!

  • Sam

    HAHAHA … my thoughts exactly when I watched this last night :

  • Sicilian Papa

    @

    Mark 2

    The information laid out today is new. The statements from the families is new. They have to cover up for their Messiah. If they reported any of this O. would be finished and the corrupt lib media knows it.
