Nonsense. GA, like PP and Scandal has a female showrunner and critics were just mildly criticizing it. 30 Rock is adored by the critics.
On of Homeland showrunners/writers/producers is a woman and critics are raving about it.

Win is a win. True. BUT show that only one lead actor cost as much as all POI actors is 0.1 better in demo. Guess wich show is more profitable. Not to mention POI male audience much more important for advertisers than females. And after football is over in thursdays, Greys will be killed. Than ABC will look laughable. In general old and expensive dramas not only on ABC, CBS ones too, look more and more vulnerable these days. Its like tera nova, but not in first season. May be networks dramas soon will be like cable one. I read that cable dramas are way cheaper than network dramas. Not only actors salaries, but in everything.

Horrid for Beauty and the Beast, but I can see it getting a full season. The CW has several bigger problems (90210, Hart of Dixie, Emily Owens, Nikita) and doesn’t have enough on the shelf to replace everything. I’ve watched all three episodes and still think this show sucks. The actors are lost in a morass of terrible writing.

So you provided examples of a few shows with one female show runner/writer to counter my three. Shows don’t have to be critically acclaimed to fail or vice versa. Many shows with good critical reviews suck balls with viewers. Then there are shows that don’t get good ratings that can keep an audience because of the demographic.
The Nielsen rating system is outdated nowadays and it’s statistically horrible.

Grey’s had a lead in of 1.3, so it grows 1.7 points.
PoI had a 3.7 lead in and drop 0.8 points.
What if PoI and Greys would have change their lead ins??
Grey’s Anatomy won their last 4 matchups vs PoI with a mediocre lead in.
