    @Mary

    Maybe we can now stop hearing people whine about NBC’s Tuesday night numbers and how they need to get rid of Go On, TNN or Parenthood.

    Only one of those shows was ever going to be renewed for another season, and that show is now matching TNN despite a smaller lead-in and is, as a veteran, more likely to maintain its ratings through Spring.

    I bet The Selection pilot must have really been awful if the CW chose B&TB over it.
    Hopefully the re-write of The Selection would be strong enough because that’s a show that has potential to be as successful as TVD, Arrow, and SPN are to the CW if done well.

    As for B&TB, it will sink lower, and it’s a waste of the TVD lead-in. I hope the CW pull the ax on it, and if they don’t, I hope they at least ship it to Friday.

    Beauty and the Beast blew it when they went for procedural crime drama rather than serial conspiracy theory. They’re doomed. They’ll be down to .4 before you know it.

    Good for TVD. The episode was pretty good with reveals of a new conspiracy coming that should hold the show for the rest of the season.

    More importantly, PHOEBE TONKIN! :-) Glad to see her on, she’s SMOKIN’ HOT! Best thing about The Secret Circle. Hope she doesn’t get killed off too soon.

    Last Resort wasn’t bad, but still highly implausible in terms of the Secretary of Defense (played by one of Burn Notice’s old villains!) coming to the island to “negotiate”. Daisy Betts did put in her best performance yet, however. Speedman did pretty well. My favorite character: Autumn Reeser. But they’re doomed. The show has no chance of being renewed.

    PoI was so-so.

    Mark Pedowitz has embarrassed the CW massively with this line up of new shows that he thought would inject new life into the flagging network, all but one so far have been colossal FLOPS.

    lololol

    Go Scandal
    fantastic episode last night
    very loyal fanbase
    and no need any lead in

  • eridapo

    How strong is MF for ABC…

    With MF, The Network average for scripted is 2.584.
    Without MF, The network average for scripted is 2.346

    Which means MF skews ABC’s numbers by .238.

  • Lola

    I’m so sick of people bashing Beauty and the Beast. It’s a good show! Critics have been taking dumps on it even before this show premiered… I’m just sad It’s already on everybody’s chopping block and never really has been given a chance

    Someone needs to back slap SPM

    @POI beat Greys by 4/10s on A25-54

    eridapo, i think from january Greys fans and ABC will cry a lot. When expensive female soap like Grey’s start to be beaten from 10, 20 or who knows how much cheaper show(with more male audience = more money from ads) ABC will look so stupid that they ended DH. Although DH was expensive show too(lead actress was way overpaid) but at least was good show. Greys is stupid soap and nothing more.

    @Ambience
    Plenty of male show runner put out shows that tank and get bad revies. I wasn’t even aware that the show runners were women. I really don’t think that the fact that the show runners are women is an issue. The show runner of TVD is female.

  • SPM

    @ Jess

    Hit a nerve did I? lololol

  • Ambience

    What’s up with all the BatB haters posting? Who wishes for a show the fail they don’t even watch. Grow up people.

  • Samunto

    Announcing that a series will end seems to keep fans further away from watching. Look at 30Rock and The Office! (or Jersey Shore)lows lows lows.
    Grey’s won but it’s doing numbers not so far from what Housewives was doing last season.

    And we can bet that NBC will completely revamp Thursdays midseason. I think Community will return after 30Rock ends. Terrible terrible ratings.

  • Ambience

    @Percysowner

    Statistics my friend. Of course more male show runners are going to put out more shows that tank because there are more of them. Just makes me suspicious that’s all.

    @SPM

    your just annoying and need to get over TSC

    Regarding 10pm show at CBS, the way I see it, it went like this:

    They had solid numbers last year with H50, CSI and The Mentalist.

    They wanted even better numbers, so logically, they made changes.

    And now they are worse than ever because not only both Vegas and Elementary are NOT hits, they also messed up solid shows like H50 and The Mentalist by moving them.

    What is funny is that the only show that remained where it was (CSI) is doing pretty good, and is actually the #1 10pm drama on CBS.

    CBS just won’t admit they screwed up. I think they should switch Vegas with The Mentalist as I’m sure The Mentalist could hold a 2.4 like CSI after NCIS:LA (after all The Mentalist used to air after a NCSI show and it worked). Vegas is already pulling a 1.6, it can’t do much worse on Sundays, or can it?

    Yeah, The Mentalist is produced by WB blah, blah. But just for the rest of the season I think it would be good. Then move it back to Sunday next year. The point is that 1.6 on Tuesdays is unacceptable when you have a good show like The Mentalist being killed on Sundays. I mean, Vegas is already dead and Elementary is dying, 3.1, 2.5, 2.3, 2.2.

    Anyway, happy for CSI and waiting for episode number 100 of The Mentalist on Sunday, hopefully at 10pm sharp.

    @ robin

    I am over it I just hate the CW

    Got it!!!

    @ Ambience

    My point exactly!

    @DaxJackson
    Didn’t ABC order additional scripts for LR? Maybe it’s to resolve it? One can hope.

    There’s a big difference between hope and delusion.

    I’m just happy that PoI is doing so well. And that I have something great and non-soapy to watch on Thursday nights.
