Note: The Thursday Night NFL Network Buccaneers/Vikings game was simulcast on the NBC affiliate in Minneapolis. As a result the numbers for NBC are likely inflated and subject to more than typical adjustments in the final numbers.

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory was even with last week's 4.8 adults 18-49 rating. Two and a Half Men scored a 3.7, down three tenths from last week's 4.0 adults 18-49 rating. Person Of Interest garnered a 3.0, up two tenths from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating.  Elementary scored a 2.2, down a tenth from last week's 2.3 among adults 18-49.

On ABC, Last Resort earned a 1.3, its lowest ratings to date, down four tenths from last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. Grey's Anatomy notched a 2.9, a new season low & down half a ratings point from last week's 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. Scandal scored a 2.0, up a tenth from last week's 1.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On FOX, game 2 of the World Series earned a preliminary 2.9 adults 18-49 rating, but this is likely to be adjusted in the finals.

NBC was likely inflated due to the NFL Pre-emption, so no analysis yet.

On the CW, The Vampire Diaries earned a 1.2, down a tenth from last week's 1.3. Beauty And The Beast was flat with last week's 0.7 adults 18-49 rating.

Late-night ratings are below the primetime data.

You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

If it were not for the TVD Beauty and the Beast would be 0.3 / 1. the show is ‘bad and the rating is mediocre!

  • Sid

Beauty and the Beast is slowly finding its footing(story-wise).

I expect a Full Season order with Owens MD making her exit very soon.

I like 2BG too, BUT Person of interest will be with the better retention, may be even best retention ever after super bowl in history of that slot.(until now friends are with best i think) No one other tv show(sitcom or drama) on CBS network(very few in all networks) is so much male skewed. After football was over(last season) all shows start droping in the spring only PoI start hit its best ratings. POI was 3+ in demo 3 months in a row when football was over in thursdays.(jan, feb, march) Super Bowl will make PoI #1 network hit drama. From there CBS can move PoI in wednesday at 8 as new anchor drama(like NCIS) after it POI spin-off(with female lead) and in 10 CM. Move survivor in sundays with one cycle per year and CBS sill have both old reality shows(TAR) for few more years.

@Eridapo: I don’t think The Voice and Revolution have the same audience. Maybe half of them tune in, but I don’t see more than that. As long as NBC has enough sense in their heads and gives Revolution the Voice lead-in the rest of the season, they would have possible breakout hit next season and fantastic ratings for the show this season as well.

@Andy im not a hater of TSC. Just looking at the facts and TSC deserved cancellation.

  • Katie

Looking at the facts TSC, Ringer, and Heart of Dixie deserved cancellation though it didn’t help that TSC came on after VD were it was noticed more. Logically TSC, Ringer, Supernatural, GG Heart of Dixie Nikita and 90210 should all be gone but The CW doesn’t think in logic. I figure TSC was cancelled because it cost to much to produce and didn’t bring enough ratings. As for B&TB it needs better writing.

Should I worry about Grey’s not getting a 10th and final season?

  • Devin

    Time to fix ABC

    8-DWTS Results/Mistresses
    10-Red Widow

how should supernatural be gone when it was the third highest rated show last season on fridays and is doing better than most cw shows now

  • Emily

Poor advertising strategy for Scandal..If Abc stopped advertising the sex part of scandal, they could get more viewers..The show is fantastic people!!Looking at the numbers for scandal, renewal is in the future:-)

  • John

@Katie: Supernatural pulled a 0.7 on Fridays last season and its a critically acclaimed show. The fanbase is quite loyal as well. I don’t get what you’re basing your theories off of.

  • Katie

John I meant no harm. I was just saying that honestly if you look at the facts most of the CW shows should go. I love Supernatural, I also love Nikita but The CW isn’t going to last with shows that can’t bring higher ratings.

  • John

    @SCANDAL Fans:

I totally agree with you guys. Just discovered this awesome show in the past week or so by being here and caught up to it now. ABC has been seriously screwing up with the promos on this one. Its more cerebral than sexy and highly entertaining. It should appeal to everyone who love their crime and law shows, not just the female demo.

  • rob60990

Secret Circle would pull Gossip Girl ratings if it were renewed and moved.

  • Katie

It may of been good to move Scandal to Sundays instead of 666 Park Avenue. Scandal is actually more “racy” and steamy than 666PA.

  • John

@Katie: CW can’t cancel every show and bring in new ones. Its not feasible. Supernatural is still making a profit for the studio and CW. It has one of the most widespread loyal fanbase I’ve ever seen, spread all across the world. CW won’t last anyway if it doesn’t improve more next season (Arrow has been the only true hit in the last 3 years). Supernatural will remain on their schedule till the day comes.

As has been said before, give it a rest. TSC is dead. Its stars are on other shows. They have moved on, so should you.

  • Katie

John just being honest here, I know its not feasible to cancel all of there shows but eventually they are going to NEED to make changes. As for the Supernatural fanbase I whole heartily believe you and admit to loving the show as well but I also know that fanbases and loyalty don’t keep a show on the air.

  • eridapo

    @ John A

At least Max talks about shows currently on the air…. ;)
