Note: The Thursday Night NFL Network Buccaneers/Vikings game was simulcast on the NBC affiliate in Minneapolis. As a result the numbers for NBC are likely inflated and subject to more than typical adjustments in the final numbers.

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory was even with last week's 4.8 adults 18-49 rating. Two and a Half Men scored a 3.7, down three tenths from last week's 4.0 adults 18-49 rating. Person Of Interest garnered a 3.0, up two tenths from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating.  Elementary scored a 2.2, down a tenth from last week's 2.3 among adults 18-49.

On ABC, Last Resort earned a 1.3, its lowest ratings to date, down four tenths from last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. Grey's Anatomy notched a 2.9, a new season low & down half a ratings point from last week's 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. Scandal scored a 2.0, up a tenth from last week's 1.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On FOX, game 2 of the World Series earned a preliminary 2.9 adults 18-49 rating, but this is likely to be adjusted in the finals.

NBC was likely inflated due to the NFL Pre-emption, so no analysis yet.

On the CW, The Vampire Diaries earned a 1.2, down a tenth from last week's 1.3. Beauty And The Beast was flat with last week's 0.7 adults 18-49 rating.

Late-night ratings are below the primetime data.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @JONNYSBRO

Sort of agree, but if CBS want to secure another hit comedy, I could see them putting 2 Broke Girls behind the Super Bowl

Wow, Beauty and the Beast already falling to a 0.6 in its half hours. Either the CW is going to cancel it after its 13 episodes are up (or if its really plummets, then earlier) OR come mid-season, it’ll be moved to either Tuesday to replace Emily Owens or it’ll move to Friday to give Nikita a lead-in. Either way, it’s not likely to make it to a 2nd season.

The Vampire Diaries had one of its most fun episodes last night. Enjoyed it a lot, and it finally has a mystery this season. Something I was hoping for.

Person of Interest was great last night and it’s awesome to see the numbers go up this week.

I wish Last Resort was doing better though. :\

  • AniMatsuri

No numbers for the CW yet?

  • Ali

    @ eridapo

What 10pm drama disasters? Have you forgotten about Revolution? That show has yet to hit 2s!

  • Honey Badger

bye bye Last Resort, Scandal, ABC will cancel
bye bye 30 Rock, Up All Night, Rock Center with Brian Williams, NBC will cancel
all being chased by the Cancellation Bear

Better to Follow The Bear, Than Be Chased By Him. This season you can follow the Cancellation Bear on Twitter via @TheCancelBear. The Cancellation Bear will retweet all the Renew/Cancel Index post titles and links as well as engage in a little more back and forth banter than we do on our standard @TVbytheNumbers Twitter feed.

  • The Old Woman

Peter Ivanov is going to pleased with those POI numbers!

Glad to see Parks and Rec being relatively stable at those numbers.

    Last Resort :(

  • Brandy

Grey’s deserved to be down. That sex episode was just a waste of an episode, and so boring. Two weeks from now looks good though with Meredith finally dealing with Lexie’s death. Scandal remained steady, but likely to adjust down in the finals… as always.Hopefully Once Upon a Time can beat Grey’s Anatomy this week.

  • alexjones

    @crimTV

I see well those are decent numbers, TVD is safe of course, and if B&TB beast can hold there it should at least get a full season, it went down signficantly after the first episode but it’s still pulling better ratings than a good portion of the CW shows.

  • Hmm

Seems like the 2.0 range is the new normal for 10pm shows. Every network seems be in that range. Some shows just get a lot more viewers than other, even though total viewers does not mean anything.

  • edward

Grey’s Anatomy went over 2 minutes into Scandal so it will be down!!

  • hammard

Surprised B&TB stabalised at that level. Though I think it will suffer heavily once Glee retunrs.

Last Resort continues its inevitable journey to cancellationville.

Elementary looking like it might just be the soul survivor of CBS new shows.

  • LisaNeedsBraces

Say what you want about Scandal, it is remarkably consistent. It holds on to that 2.0 and doesn’t let go.

  • Bill

Ouch Grey’s. Will probably adjust to a 3.0 in the finals.

  • eridapo

oh no ! the PoI fans now are gonna explode i dont wanna be part of this

They are not as bad as the Nikita fans or Supernatural fans (Heck any CW show).

  • rob60990

“What 10pm drama disasters? Have you forgotten about Revolution? That show has yet to hit 2s!”

    Don’t worry, it will. :D

    4.4, 3.8, 3.3, and 2.9

  • SPM

Floppity & the beast will be enjoying 0.5s very soon.
