Note: The Thursday Night NFL Network Buccaneers/Vikings game was simulcast on the NBC affiliate in Minneapolis. As a result the numbers for NBC are likely inflated and subject to more than typical adjustments in the final numbers.

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory was even with last week's 4.8 adults 18-49 rating. Two and a Half Men scored a 3.7, down three tenths from last week's 4.0 adults 18-49 rating. Person Of Interest garnered a 3.0, up two tenths from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating.  Elementary scored a 2.2, down a tenth from last week's 2.3 among adults 18-49.

On ABC, Last Resort earned a 1.3, its lowest ratings to date, down four tenths from last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. Grey's Anatomy notched a 2.9, a new season low & down half a ratings point from last week's 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. Scandal scored a 2.0, up a tenth from last week's 1.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On FOX, game 2 of the World Series earned a preliminary 2.9 adults 18-49 rating, but this is likely to be adjusted in the finals.

NBC was likely inflated due to the NFL Pre-emption, so no analysis yet.

On the CW, The Vampire Diaries earned a 1.2, down a tenth from last week's 1.3. Beauty And The Beast was flat with last week's 0.7 adults 18-49 rating.

Late-night ratings are below the primetime data.

You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I think CULT will be paired with TVD midseason. I think TVD / Alaric fans will check this show out. Pairing it with TVD midseason would also be convenient to them.

BatB is still doing fine on that timeslot by CW standards and moving it to a different night would I think hurt BatB’s ratings.

I’ll let CW do the coin toss. :))

  • Brandy

Beauty and The Beast may adjust down.

I honestly think ABC and Shonda should announce in April that the 10th season of Grey’s Anatomy will be the final season. Lets bill at as the final and let it go out with a huge bang while the series originals are still there. Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh and Patrick Dempsey are signed through season 10 and I think its great to end it at that. 10 seasons is a great run. Its well into syndciation plus ABC has made a ton of money off this show. Probably one of ABC’s most profitable dramas of all time. I remember when Grey’s was such a phenom it was so talked about.

Nashville definitely will get the push plus IMO its in a tougher timeslot than Scandel or 666. It has the smallest lead-in of all these shows plus it has critical acclaim and I Tunes and it barely dropped in week 3. I think ABC will nurture it. Last Resort is going to be cancelled. 666 I think has a better chance IMO it has smaller viewership but younger demos.

    @ Honey Badger

@ eridapo good point, why is that happening? since ABC counts on Grey’s Anatomy high ratings, what does ABC do now?

I don’t watch the show, so I can’t really tell you if people are unhappy with the storylines. What I know is that in the spring, Grey’s was in the low 3s to high 2s. The Spring finale had a lot of buzz because they tease about killing a couple of characters, so it is possible that carried to the premiere and the second episode of the season.

“I think CULT will be paired with TVD midseason. I think TVD / Alaric fans will check this show out.”

    Not necessarily.

  • omabin

That’s awful for Grey’s, what happened there? I love the show, have loved it for 9 seasons, but I kind of agree that apart from the first two episodes, this season has been a bit lacking, there is nothing to pull me in. And the christina storyline being away is just way too boring. I prefer Scandal at this moment by far. Scandal did very good in the ratings. ABC really messed up its schedule this fall, big time. Scandal should have followed the much more compatible revenge on sundays whereas Nashville should have led out of Greys. Last Resort is finally done for good, i am so sorry to see it go. The show is amazing. But we all knew it was coming…
Elsewhere on the nigt, good job for the cw. Still hoping for an adjustment upwards for tvd diares and I still think beauty will be done after the season, even if holding that 0.7 for now is still renewable.
CBS did very good, the powerhouse hour really is a powerhouse hour by tv standards of today and POI rose. Elementary is still not prooven though, it could end up joining the bubble shows, although i suspect a face save renewal might be enough to make it through, since not even the comedy is doing good this fall and i just cant see them canceling all of their new shows.

BTW, Scandal’s lead-in is not that much higher than Nashville lead-in this week. Just saying…

BBT had a 4.7 in the preliminaries last week. It went up to a 4.8 in the finals. You should compare apples to apples.

    @ Remote Patrolled

Haven’t seen the iTunes sales, are they good?

How did the duet that concluded the pilot fare? Think it’s the best song to come from “Nashville” so far.

  • John

WTH happened to Last Resort! Damn, that’s a huge drop! It was one of my favs along with Revolution and Arrow this season! Scandal can open on its own. Its viewers won’t lose or gain any new audience by the looks of it.
POI is freaking awesome! But last night’s episode wasn’t. Except for a few bright spots, the episode was kinda boring. Still, POI deserves that gain. The ratings give me hope that Elementary will be cancelled after the season. Its not worth it.
TVD deserves more viewers. Looks like BATB found its audience.

  • zerg

Why CBS would give to POI the post superbowl slot? It has already a nice lead, it doesn’t need a boost

  • CrimTV

I hope TVD is adjusted up!

  • Michael

The PR team is working overtime this season on the CW. Did anyone catch that new “Beauty And The Beast” promo? Lol.

  • israelCD

    The Vampire Diaries number #1 show in CW (1.2) ! Arrow #2 (1.1)! Supernatural and Beauty and the Beast #3 (0.7) ! Hart Of Dixie and American Next Top Model (0.6) #4 ! 90210 #5 (0.5) ! Gossip Girl #6 (0.4) ! Emily Owens and Nikita #7 (0.3) !
I THINK NIKITA will be renewed because of syndication thing ! 90210 last season, So Bye Bye EMILY and i think BEAUTY and the BEAST ! RINGER and SECRET CIRCLE story repeats !

  • Connor

It sucks that Last Resort will be canceled. It’s a good show and last nights episode proved that. What they should do is have Andre Baugher giving hour long speeches every episode. That would increase the ratings!

  • Holly

Since the beginning of the season, Greys has lost 1.5 points on the demo.

That’s actually not horribly abnormal for Greys. It tends to have really big premieres and then drop sharply. This may be a bit more than usual (I haven’t looked), but not shockingly so.

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Bill Gorman

“I don’t understand all the LAST RESORT hate posts on the first page.
Why all the celebrating. Must be fans of cookie cutter CBS procedurals that can’t handle any program that doesn’t paint by the numbers.”

Or animal lovers, who’d like to see @TheCancelBear well fed!

  • PHIL

Last Resort is not that great of show and should be cancelled. Grey’s started with a bang but it is slowly returning to last season ratings.

Since the beginning of the season, Greys has lost 1.5 points on the demo.

    4.4, 3.8, 3.3, and 2.9

A highly inflated premiere. Everybody knew it would have lost a big chunk of viewers during the season, like it happened last year and the year before.

  • ryan530

With all these talks of post super bowl I see it being between POI and a combo of mike and molly and 2BG I don’t see TBBT getting it since it has a strong fan base.

  • CarrieMaine

At least Beauty and The Best is stable. to be honest, I was expecting it to go as low as 0.5
