Note: The Thursday Night NFL Network Buccaneers/Vikings game was simulcast on the NBC affiliate in Minneapolis. As a result the numbers for NBC are likely inflated and subject to more than typical adjustments in the final numbers.

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory was even with last week's 4.8 adults 18-49 rating. Two and a Half Men scored a 3.7, down three tenths from last week's 4.0 adults 18-49 rating. Person Of Interest garnered a 3.0, up two tenths from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating.  Elementary scored a 2.2, down a tenth from last week's 2.3 among adults 18-49.

On ABC, Last Resort earned a 1.3, its lowest ratings to date, down four tenths from last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. Grey's Anatomy notched a 2.9, a new season low & down half a ratings point from last week's 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. Scandal scored a 2.0, up a tenth from last week's 1.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On FOX, game 2 of the World Series earned a preliminary 2.9 adults 18-49 rating, but this is likely to be adjusted in the finals.

NBC was likely inflated due to the NFL Pre-emption, so no analysis yet.

On the CW, The Vampire Diaries earned a 1.2, down a tenth from last week's 1.3. Beauty And The Beast was flat with last week's 0.7 adults 18-49 rating.

Late-night ratings are below the primetime data.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

@ the old man : “If I didn’t know better” has been on the chart of iTunes’ top 100 since the beginning and it’s now at 30.

  • Frustrated

Glad to see UP ALL NIGHT still increasing it’s ratings (although I know it could be taken down a bit due to NFL), but it is still increasing over it’s lead in. Showing great promise to stick around for a while. NBC would be a fool to not pick it up for the back 9 and to not pick it up for next season as well. It is a great show. Last night was LMAO funny!

    @JONNYSBRO,

If you really wanna go by retention (which has been prooven over and over that is not the criteria networks use to renew their shows):
    – Scandal did a preliminary 2.0 with a preliminary 2.9 Grey’s (-0.9 points)
    – Nashville did a 2.0 with a 2.7 Suburgatory (-0.7 points)
    – 666 did a 1.7 with a 2.8 Revenge (-1.1 points)

My point is, there really isn’t much of a difference betwee a 2.7, a 2.8 and a 2.9 lead-in. Still, I think that lead-ins can help and I think ABC has it all wrong. Scandal should have gone Sundays at 10 and Nashville Thursdays at 10, it would be so much more compatible with the previous shows.

i hope greys gets adjusted up to a 3.0. This season has been really good so far :)

  • Brian L

Last nitght’s Last resort was amazing, the best yet, and it sinks hard in the ratings. The universe just makes no sense sometimes. Here’s hoping they at least get to play out a proper ending before all is said and done.

  • Megan

Just wondering, how low would the Grey’s ratings have to be for it to be canceled?

And I have to say, that being a die hard Grey’s fan since season 1, last nights episode was horrible save for Cristina/Mr. Feeny and the Arizona SL. Enough with the sex episodes! Please come back to focusing the show on medical cases. (I know, never gonna happen, but one can hope) Next episode looks good though.

  • Alex C

Once again it is laughable that certain peeps assume 2BG will get post Super Bowl slot. POI fits mostly with that this season. I watch 2BG and I can even see that it won’t fit

  • Mommyneedsmartini

Loved Up All Night last night! Great show…hope it goes on for many more seasons!

  • SPM

    Lol @ B&TB being stable.

  • Fred

Waiting for an ABC spin on last night, here is what is it may state:

ABC’s acclaimed freshman drama Last Resort held its own up against FOX’s World Series and CBS’s Powerhouse Comedy duo. And improved upon last season’s 8:00 PM timeslot in overall viewers and high income males in the 25-34 demo.

Grey’s Anantomy tied the World Series in adult 18-49 and beat FOX by a whopping 153% with women 18-34.

ABC’s sophmore hit Scandal contiues to surge with young adults 18-49 managing a 2.0 vs 1.9 last week .

  • J.G.

Scandal seems like it’s holding onto their small but loyal audience, but the real test is gonna be when/if they don’t have a new Grey’s leading in.

  • Alan

Beauty and the Beast dropped a lot in viewers. I can see it hitting 0.5-0.4’s in January.

  • Just Desserts

At the rate Elementary is going, in two weeks Scandal is going beat it in ratings.

  • TVDude

I’m not looking forward to NBC’s actual ratings. Those numbers already look low. NBC doesn’t seem to have much luck with comedies. If The Office doesn’t get adjusted down, that’s only .3 lower than Go On, which follows The Voice. It seems to me that even the Tuesday comedies are performing rather poorly.

  • Clarke

I’m trying to like Beauty and The Beast but it is just SO badly written I can’t enjoy it. The guy isn’t a “beast”; instead he is a Twilight-version of the Hulk. He only turns into the “beast” when he is angry and the CGI effects are LAUGHABLE when he does. The procedural aspect of the show is a snore and the show takes itself WAY too seriously. I keep hoping the show will get better but it is only getting worse. Still going to give the show a chance and I’m praying the show will get better writers. I can see why it is only getting a 0.7, the show needs major work.

  • Ally

I’m surprised Grey’s dropped so much since the beginning. I think its OK but it hasn’t been great in years. Its the same thing over and over and its dull. They have new characters but they never use them to try to bring some new blood and stories. Not sure why they even bother with new people.

  • J.G.

    @Megan

I don’t think the “how low will Grey’s go?” question isn’t an option. The fact that it’s been on 9 seasons and still gets the numbers it does is a statement in of itself. I don’t see it ever going below a 2.5 even next season.

  • Ally

Meant to add: Can anyone post the half hour numbers? Thanks!

  • THE OLD MAN

    @ alexis

Thanks for the info & letting me know the song’s title. Here’s hoping they release a CD soon so this old man can “own it.”

  • KD

Arrow is the most watched CW , yay

Good numbers for TVD and Beauty and the beast, good demo numbers for TVD, B&B demo and total viewers are steady well done. The little network that could

Wednesday & Thursday look good, not get but good enough for CW.
