Will Anyone Watch 'Mockingbird Lane' Tonight? (Poll)

Categories: Broadcast TV

Update: The special notched a 1.5, which isn't too bad, but it looks like your predictions were too optimistic.

A Munsters reboot sounds like an odd sell at first, but when you consider the popularity of genre television on cable (I'm looking at you American Horror Story & The Walking Dead), bringing something a bit darker to broadcast sounds like it could be an interesting gamble. Unfortunately, after the pilot for Mockingbird Lane was filmed, NBC stopped production, reportedly due to the series' too-dark tone.

Viewers will have the chance to decide for themselves tonight if this was a wise decision, as the pilot is airing as a one-off special before Grimm, presumably to help NBC recoup some of their reported $10 Million investment. For those that cling to hope, there have even been whisperings that the possibility may exist for Mockingbird Lane to still become a series if enough people tune in. But will they? Especially on a Friday? Cast your vote and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

    hope it has great ratings.

  2. MDM

High 1s, low 2s. It’s Friday, it’s Halloween time, nothing else is really on. I think it will do ok.

  3. DC

    Can’t wait..ill be watching.

I also hope it gets amazing rating, but I don’t know… anything can happen, specially afer Grimm got a 2.1 last year, so I can see Mockingbird Lane scoring that, but it could also be low… I just can’t tell xD

  5. Jared

I’m not sure Mockingbird Lane will do well enough to warrant a series pickup..but I plan on watching tonight.

  7. John A

Did it get any promotion? I assume not so a 1.0

  8. J.G.

I’m gonna go a little conservative and say 1.5. It could of course be much lower, but I doubt it.

  9. iggy

    1.1

    I think it will get a 1.5 or a 1.7.

@John A, yes, NBC does promote it.

    Not many, ratings under 1.8.
Friday is a low ratings night.
It is going against Shark Tank on ABC, that show is doing well.
Kitchen Nightmares on Fox does well.
A repeat of NCIS on CBS, NCIS does well with its repeats.

And judging by the previews ‘Mockingbird Lane’ looks like a bad show, the ratings will drop in the second half hour.

Lastly it is on NBC, things do not seem to go well there

Because NBC did actually promote, I think it’ll get a 1.8-2.2. To be honest, though, they should have aired this and the Grimm Halloween episode on Halloween.

  15. Hmm

I want to watch it! It probably won’t do very well though since it’s on a Friday night.

I would love for this to get great ratings and become a series. I have loved “The Munsters” ever since I used to watch the reruns on TBS as a toddler!

Having been rooting for it since it was first announced, I’d hope for a 2.0, but a 1.2-1.5 might be more reasonable. With Grimm’s Halloween episode, Grimm fans might tune in anyway. Munsters might get enough name recognition and NBC’s promo has been okay enough.

    1.2

  20. Max

    0.9 – 1.0 tops
