Will Anyone Watch 'Mockingbird Lane' Tonight? (Poll)

Update: The special notched a 1.5, which isn't too bad, but it looks like your predictions were too optimistic.

A Munsters reboot sounds like an odd sell at first, but when you consider the popularity of genre television on cable (I'm looking at you American Horror Story & The Walking Dead), bringing something a bit darker to broadcast sounds like it could be an interesting gamble. Unfortunately, after the pilot for Mockingbird Lane was filmed, NBC stopped production, reportedly due to the series' too-dark tone.

Viewers will have the chance to decide for themselves tonight if this was a wise decision, as the pilot is airing as a one-off special before Grimm, presumably to help NBC recoup some of their reported $10 Million investment. For those that cling to hope, there have even been whisperings that the possibility may exist for Mockingbird Lane to still become a series if enough people tune in. But will they? Especially on a Friday? Cast your vote and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

    AWFUL!

I turned to the Hornets-Heat preseason game and Smackdown maybe about 10 minutes into it. NBC keep this one on the shelf.

    Absolutely Fantastic!

Make this a regular series for Winter 2013!

Not quite dark, but knew that going into it. Knew it was going to be more camp than anything else. Hope it gets picked up to series but won’t be upset if it doesn’t.

I truly enjoyed this, and would very much support a series should NBC decide to pick it up. It’d be a great partner for Grimm – as it is that’s the only show I watch on Friday night, and know a lot of people who feel the same. A Grimm/Mockingbird Lane pairing would be fantastic.

    I hope for a nice 2.0 to boost GRIMM to a 1.7-1.8

I want to change my prediction to a 2.0. I liked it a lot and it was trending on twitter for a while.

For the networks sake let’s hope it tanks in the ratings or NBC will make another huge mistake. Think Knight Rider and Bionic Woman. 2 remakes that actually did well the first 2 weeks then it fell into cacellation oblivion.

this is y nbc is a 3rd and sometimes 4th place network despite i watch most of its shows lol cause the have no BALLS stopping production cause the show was to dark toned for them and grimm is not wtf whos in charge there helen keller, with the ratings the walking dead and american horror story r getting they should learn something there that there is an audience for dark toned shows and i cant imagine a munsters redo being that dark toned anyway look at bones that show is gorier then most horror movies out now lol but im glad the horror and dark toned what ever that means shows r all doing well long live horror any thing is better then another cop hospital law show or anything on cbs they havent had anything good since the ghost whisperer and the medium.

Someone mentioned Sliders. I loved that show.

I would watch this anytime over American Horror Stories.

    The latter is too depressing!

I watched it without having heard anything about it, because I wanted to see a modern take on a typically silly yet likeable old show. Got to give the producers credit for having the guts to do it the way they did, and especially for truly good special effects, but it was much more like the Addams family mcvies than the Munsters sitcom. I suppose I’m supposed to take away from it that the Grandpa and Lily are just plain old cannibals, with supernatural powers of course. I’m sorry, but that’s just plain revolting.

On the plus sdide, the special effects are fastastic. I did like the characters. Herman and Grandpa, of the original, must be one of the greatest comedy duets in history of TV comedy and I dearly miss that in this remake. Overall I think it would be a great series and hope the numbers are good to warrant continued production.

    They are vampires, not cannibals.
