While fans in San Francisco are still celebrating their Giants World Series sweep of the Detroit Tigers, Fox is taking some of those lemons it gathered from the four game series and trying to make a little lemonade by moving The X Factor live shows up to start in the now open date on Thursday.

    XF moves a lot. lol
So that means, the result show on Friday? or no result show that week?

  • Chris

Last year I think they avoided a results show by having the mentors voting one act out (two in Simon’s case bc he had five) and then the following week once each mentor had 3 contestants they started the normal process with the result show.

  • erwanfromfrance

Yes ! It will huge !

  • Norman

I think the results show will be on Sunday in it’s already scheduled time slot.

  • bluelp85

WOO GO GIANTS!!! boo to x-factor.

  • Ultima

The X Factor was originally scheduled for Thursday (8:00-10:30pm) and Sunday (8:00-10:00pm) this week.

It’s not that FOX made a change to the schedule, but the lack of a 7-game series means that now they don’t have to.

They’re now stuck with repeats Monday and Wednesday though.

What a bummer for Fox to see a sweep. So what he heck are they going to air tonight ? TV listings still has game 5 scheduled to air. Maybe a double dose of The Mob Dr perhaps ?

  • Connman

Dan S said “What a bummer for Fox to see a sweep.” Think what those of us in the Detroit area think…

FOX scheduled a repeat of The X Factor for every night of the MLB postseason that had an “if necessary” game (except for this Thursday, obviously).

Haha! Suck it, NBC! :D They thought they were being so slick by moving The Voice to Wednesday and Thursday next week and having it compete with what they thought would be the first X Factor live shows.

  • Christina

I was hoping that FOX would air a new episode of the Mob Doctor tonight, even just to burn off what is left of the 13 week run.

Shows are never burned off during sweeps months. Any burnoff would likely be in late December.

This should throw a wrench in the PoI vs. Grey’s trash talk that’s developing.
    Just a thought.

So, The ratings for this will be posted THIS Friday and next Monday

  • Jay

Congrats to Bill and Robert and Giants fans. They looked dominant the last week in a half. Too bad for the record low ratings.

what they thought would be the first X Factor live shows

    What?

FOX had live shows scheduled for this week long before NBC scheduled The Voice for three nights next week…

Maybe you’re the one who should be laughed at for your presumption?

  • Jere

They moved the voice because of the election covered on Tuesday only cw will be new that night

  • Ultima

They moved the voice because of the election covered on Tuesday

Yes, but they also expanded the show from three hours to five hours next week.

only cw will be new that night

The CW is airing repeats because many affiliates are going to preempt it for local news coverage of the elections.

  • RG-X

X-Factor reruns all week repeats?! This is going to kill the show even more- and it’s becoming confusing when it’s on and when it’s off -on-off- on but a repeat – on again by repeat the first 40 minutes then the last 20 minutes is new then a week of repeats followed by a live show on Thursday with no results show scheduled?

The average viewer will not understand -

  • Ultima

    @RG-X
The average viewer will not understand

Wait, you don’t think the average viewer can grasp the concept of a repeat, but you do think that after two weeks of promos and social media saying that live shows return on Thursday, they won’t be caught off guard by a last minute rescheduling to Wednesday?
