Update: CBS will air repeats of its comedies from 8-10PM and a CBS News special on Hurricane Sandy from 10-11PM, per the network's publicity department.

CBS will air a repeat of  Hawaii Five-0 tonight due to Hurricane Sandy. The episode scheduled to air tonight will air next week. Smart move

    @ Max 2

The world does revolve around the East Coast

    @ Maryilyn

Only the advertisers wish they all could be California Girls (Smiley face goes here)

  • Pam

I think this is a lot of media hype and not a lot of bad weather as usual…

  • Mike

Yeah but when we get a huge storm in Florida or Louisiana, CBS just says, tough luck you’ll have to find another way to watch it. Screw you CBS!! I’d be fine with this if they did the same for all storms instead just those in the northeast.

  • Mike

As a Floridian, it’s only cat 1, there’s a chance that this storm is being over exaggerated, wouldn’t be shocked if power doesn’t even go out in some places the storm is going to hit.

  • Alaric Thorson

Well they have never do this for any other natural disaster in any other part of nation. What makes this time so special?

  • Raythek14

It actually makes sense. Since a lot of people will be without power, they don’t want to deprive those who will not be able to see it tonight. If they wait until next week, everyone will get to see it at the same time. I think I said that right.

  • Alaric Thorson

Raythek and Bill Gorman do you realize that this has never been done for any other hurricane or natural disaster? What is so special about this one? CBS is basically saying the area being hit by Sandy is more important than any other part of the nation.

  • Ryan

Actually, here in the Baltimore area, all we’re getting are news reports on the hurricane watch. No networked broadcasted their shows except for CW.

“We have a right to express our opinion.”

I think you have a confused idea about what your “rights” are, but your opinion is nonsense!

“do you realize that this has never been done for any other hurricane or natural disaster? What is so special about this one? CBS is basically saying the area being hit by Sandy is more important than any other part of the nation.”

From a TV viewership perspective, it is more important!

An estimated 25% of the US population is in the path of the storm.

As far as “never been done” before, I’m not so sure about that.

“Actually, here in the Baltimore area, all we’re getting are news reports on the hurricane watch. No networked broadcasted their shows except for CW.”

Which is likely in many areas. Locally, affiliates can air something other than the network feed.

  • Big 5

CBS is the ONLY station covering the hurricane during prime time. If no one else thinks its worthwhile why do you? Has to be the channel that carries Hawaii five o. Fan base not happy. Guess we are forced to watch another network.

  • Linda E.

A Hallowe’n themed HF-0 episode almost a week after, is an anti-climax. Since neither Vegas on Tuesday or CSI on Wednesday is about Hallowe’en, CBS should replace one of them with HF-0. That would make sense.

  • Galane

Mountain Time zone didn’t get a repeat of Hawaii Five-0. We got the special report on Sandy at 9:00 PM.

  • POI

i dont think this will make revolution hit series high but i will watch it.

  • Anon

I think more people watched the Sandy Special than regularly watch 5-0.

  • Scott

I don’t think TVGuide online updates their guides, or even bothered to post anything about the schedule changes. Isn’t that what they are there for?

  • Monica

Revolution nor H50 aired last night here in Va

  • Becky

They better air Hawaii Five-0 next week! I was pissed, when it wasn’t on the other night! At least, I got to watch Castle but still!
