I think it’s a bit silly to be comparing a show that air’s on Mondays to one that airs on Fridays but if you must- last year, demographically Nikita didn’t do as well as Gossip Girl (Lets face it, Nikita’s demo isn’t really the same) but in terms of viewers, Nikita definitely had more .. on a FRIDAY night. It’s a bit harsh calling it a flop when it managed to be consistent on Friday nights. This year, the ratings are painful to look at but whatever show they put in the death slot would have had shocking ratings too. It’s a shame it had to be Nikita since people who don’t watch the show assume bad ratings = bad show .. not in this case. It’s a quality show (my personal opinion, you don’t have to agree but come on, it even had EMMY hype last year) with poor ratings.
Partners repeats VERY well…
edit – i mean them.
@Richard Steven Hack
What the promo for next week episode. I think we’re gonna have some answers before the hiatus.
*watch*
NBC got a 4.2 rating on Monday for its shows, The Voice and Revolution, even though many east coast affiliates pre-empted theses shows for Sandy coverage. It shows how big The Voice has become.
@I agree a four month hiatus for Revolution is just stupid, despite its good ratings. When it comes back, it will be well under the 3.0 it got this week.
Yep. Why NBC didn’t try at least 1 episode at Monday at 8 or 9 or tuesday or whatever day. I think they buld up enough fan base already. DVR ratings are great… better than OUAT DVRs. Just don’t make sense for me.
@luisl
Kripke before weeks said that episode 10 will be major cliffhanger like LOST, but LOST huge cliffhangers were IN THE END OF THE SEASONS. Not in the midle. And january, february, march are great months for RVN. Much better than 10 pm in May. Last season Revenge wich was best 10 pm show was down so much in April and May. Around 2.0.
It’s kind of a shame that after the best season The Voice has had yet, Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are leaving.
Revolution loses 500k viewers from Prelim and only goes down a tenth. The Voice loses 400K viewers and goes up two tenths.
About those ABC numbers, it seems everyone in NYC was watching WABC instead of WNBC last night since both ABC and NBC shows were not aired on the normal channels. WABC showed the ABC shows on The Livewell Network, and WNBC showed the NBC programs in NY Nonstop….
The drop for Revolution would usually excite me but I’ve now come to the conclusion that it’s good for future sci-fi television if the show is successful. I hate NBC and the show sucks really bad, but I’m now on the Revolution bandwagon. Go Revolution!

WOW.. .Look at the last minute of the Voice. 5.8 in the demo. No wonder Revolution is rated so high.
Revolution held tough in there. I wasn’t enthusiastic about the pilot, but now I’m really getting into the show. It’s improved a lot and keeps throwing in interesting surprises. Maybe with the hiatus, the writing will improve even more.
That number for Gossip Girl is not bad, considering it was a rerun. I was glad to see it, since I had missed last week’s episode and that was the one they ran back.
@mark
“Many states” did not lose power. NYC got clobbered and so did parts of New Jersey and most of New York. Even then, not everyone lost power. I was one of the people in the storm’s path points farther south and all we got was a bunch of rain and blustery winds.
I was looking at the prelims versus the finals for ABC…
DTWS gained 36K viewers, but the demo dropped 4/10.
Castle lost 1.1M viewers, and the demo dropped 5/10.
Strange….
In my previous posts, I look at the NBC numbers and the losses are greater in viewers. Yet amazingly very little demo adjustments…
@eridapo
These the voice&revolution numbers are even more impressive when you add 7 million without power and millions in big cities – Boston, NY, NJ, even in philadelphia with preempts for Sandy.
NBC doesn’t trust Revolution at all. Without The Voice, RVN is dead, it shows that RVN is a big flop. RVN will never be as popular as TWD.

There will be a new trilogy of Star Wars beginning on 2015

Catocony – you are incorrect. I live in Northern Va and Revolution and Hawaii did not air BUT Castle did at 10 pm.
