Revolution is still flying high. Thank God. I love the show. Good to see Castle gaining a few viewers in the demo.

  • AA

    LMAO

A repeat of GOSSIP GIRL is higher than A NEW FLOPITA. That show needs to just end, i feel bad for all the wasted money.

It’s a shame it had to be Nikita since people who don’t watch the show assume bad ratings = bad show .. not in this case. It’s a quality show (my personal opinion, you don’t have to agree but come on, it even had EMMY hype last year) with poor ratings.

Word, word, WORD. Commercial and creative are two different spheres. We all know a lot of crap shows do well (uh, ANY reality show?), and a lot of quality shows don’t, like Veronica Mars, Firefly, or currently Last Resort. If anything, the bad shows sometimes have it easier because many, many people prefer to watch shallow stuff to anything that actually engages the neurons.

Nikita is terrific – obviously, that’s just an opinion and mileage varies, but people are welcome to read the reviews. Nearly every critic out there is going gaga over the show. Or better yet, watch the show for themselves and see how much the low ratings aren’t justified.

Ugh, I don’t know how to put things in italics. Whatever.

  • John

Let me try “i” ITALICS “/i”

  • John

Still not working! Ugh! Someone said this would work.

    @John

    U gotta use ‘>’ and ‘<' instead of '[' and ']'

Actually, given all the pre-emptions, aren’t those great results for everything, especially Dancing and Castle?

P.S. only answer if you’re a ratings expert.

  • ezduzit

Hilarious that a Partners REPEAT during a hurricane still gets better ratings than most NBC and FOX sitcoms. This just goes to show that the audience for the show is growing and people are starting to realize this is a quality comedy. Take that all you know-it-alls and haters who follow Bill like sheep and buy into his ‘certain cancellation’ ranking. I don’t know what tea leaves he is reading, but Partners is going nowhere!

  • Chris

2.2 is the best Castle can manage with CBS showing either repeats or storm coverage?

It’s going WELL below 2.0 this season.

  • G

@exduzit: >i/i< will be cancelled no matter what.

  • G

Series low for revolution in demo and total viewership :/ Lol at castle!!

  • Baaa!

Going by its season to season trends Castle will be steady, but if ABC does its usual routine of scheduling it during the holidays in an on again and off again pattern it will drop from that steady average as even higher rated shows suffer under that scheduling. Its happened every season, but then returns to its steady pattern when its scheduling normalizes.I would not expect big drops when DWTS is done as it has been a non-factor lead-in for it already right from the get go this season. So yeah I would expect drops too, but not the drops your hoping for over the season as a whole.

  • POIfanatic

@danny: Other networks would kill for that rating for a drama. It still hasn’t dropped below a 3.0 which is remarkable considering it will air its seventh episode next week. As long as it remains above 2.5, its doing fine.

  • ABCFanatic2012

    YAY Castle is doing okay!

The results are meaningless; I know it kills people not to be able to read into something, but that’s the way it is.

  • Hmm

    @ Baaa!

Looking at the schedule for Castle it looks like there’s only one other week without a new Castle episode. ( November 19th) And then the last episode for fall/winter on December 3rd and then the show coming back after the holidays like all of the others. That’s actually really good continuty for ABC. I agree, Castle will stay steady even with the change in lead in to the Bachelor.
