You guys are so funny when you put “flop” into the title of the show, LOL I mean you guys know everything about every show on TV and other people can’t like shows that had been doomed with your flopiness!

  • Cass rowland

abc will probably not have this problem in January when bachelor returns

  • Albert

    yes, the voice!!!!

“Could we possibly have the half hours for Dancing?”

Not from us, we don’t see half hours for the final ratings.

  • greysfan

ABC need a new reality smash and fast. DWTS is dead if you ask me. Time for a change. I don’t know what they can do but something needs to happen.

    @Bill,

This week in television makes an exceptional moment due to the storm, but in average season these numbers of original episodes which a few aired and some of them was up must not be counted or the networks will claim these numbers later?
    Because if so,wouldn’t be fair,right?

  • THE OLD MAN

Not one 2.0 for ABC as entire lineup collapses

Fox comedies beat ABC comedies for what that’s worth

CBS NCIS duo OK for now, but Vegas can’t seem to recover

The Voice takes NBC to new Tues heights 9-11

“Hart of Dixie just got a third season renewel.”

Does your planet have a medium sized yellow star like the Earth’s Sun?

Waaay, to early to make that call considering how bunched together the “mediocre middle” of the CW shows are.

Yikes, is that a series low for DWTS? Hopefully The Bachelor does better for them this winter.

I don’t think ABC will pull the plug on DWTS anytime soon. The spring cycle is happening 100%. They might do with it what NBC did with The Biggest Loser – pare it down to one hour (Mondays) as soon as next spring and maybe have it take one cycle off and see if they can retool it slightly. But they definitely need to start looking for their version of Idol or The Voice.

Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B were affected by The Voice. Let’s see how they do two weeks from now. I’m not ready to call either of them dead yet.

It’s only a question of “fairness” to the crazy, it’s business to the networks and the advertisers.

Sure, the ratings this week are wacky, of course the networks know that. But the fact is that the ratings for a single episode of any show on any week means very little to a show’s future.

Dancing With The Stars has definitely sprung a leak.I can’t imagine what the numbers will be come Spring. Any chance they move it to Friday? Or too expensive?

  • Bobby

ABC needs to get those two comedies out of there.

  • johncarter

awful for cw, both shows need to be canceled

ABC has to begin to think about moving Dancing with the Stars away from The Voice next season. IMO, ABC’s Thursday night is starting to weaken with Grey’s Anatomy being on an island to itself. Most likely it will end after season 10 anyways so ABC should simply move DWTS to Thursday. But it will have to cut it down to one hour. And then the result show could air on Friday.

    Thursday
    8pm Shark Tank
9pm Dancing With The Stars( 8-10 contestants)
    10pm Grey’s Anatomy Final Season

    Friday
8pm Dancing With The Stars results
    9pm Body of Proof
    10pm 20/20

I have to read up on this because it doesn’t make sense just looking at the numbers. 18 million and 16 million ? I have never seen numbers that high on a normal week. According to the six o-Clock news over 8 million people had no power. And then I see advertisements for shows such as Revaluation saying over 20 million viewers loved the last episode but according to this site it has never been even close to that number. Just does not seem accurate to me.But I will read again how they come up with these numbers.

  • Roebell

It kills me that more people aren’t watching Happy Endings. It’s easily one of the funniest, most accessible network sitcoms around right now. The cast is so talented and funny and the writing is so sharp and fun, it’s a shame.

  • Networkman

I wonder if Raising Hope beat DWTS during its half hour? That would be something. DWTS gets almost 3x the viewers as Raising Hope but loses to it in the demo. I would love to see the half hour breakdown of DWTS. FOX has got to be satisfied with Raising Hope at this time.

Hart of Dixie is a hit for CW. It is a self starter going against The Voice. It should be evident that this show will be needed for season 3.

I have never seen numbers that high on a normal week.

Have you ever actually looked at the numbers on a normal week?

    Such as last week?

According to the six o-Clock news over 8 million people had no power

That leaves over 300 million people left to watch.

And then I see advertisements for shows such as Revaluation saying over 20 million viewers loved the last episode but according to this site it has never been even close to that number.

Different numbers. This is Live+SD average viewers; NBC uses different measurements to get bigger numbers… bigger is better!

In the short-term, ABC should think about slimming down DWTS to 2 hours.

In the long-term, they need to find a replacement and move it to summer. It might do okay against reduced competition and solve ABC’s summer problem.
