    @Coffee Steve

Most people don’t remember but Gas Prices were actually over $4.00 a gallon before the stock market crash in 2008. After the crash happened, nobody was moving, traveling, buying, shipping, flying, etc. So OPEC and the “powers that be” dropped the prices all the way down to $1.60s, so that the economy could get going again and they could make some type of money. A couple months later Obama was sworn in with the gas prices still under the $2.00…a very unfortunate thing for him. But as soon as the economy started going again, gas prices were increased back to the Pre-Crash levels of high $3.90s to $4.10s where it was during Bush’s last summer in 2008.

Get this: Sometimes a vote is more complex than any single success or failure, and maybe even a candidate that’s done things/believes things you disagree with deeply has to be weighed against what they represent as a whole versus their opponent, and their potential long term impact on an institution such as the Supreme Court. And sometimes, sometimes in a democracy, a bunch of other people aren’t going to care about A Thing as much as you care about That Thing, and that’s a potential consequence in free elections. Well, cheers  chairs

    CBS News

*Sources: Key task force not convened during Benghazi consulate attack

CBS News has learned that during the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, the Obama Administration did not convene its top interagency counterterrorism resource: the Counterterrorism Security Group, (CSG).

“The CSG is the one group that’s supposed to know what resources every agency has. They know of multiple options and have the ability to coordinate counterterrorism assets across all the agencies,” a high-ranking government official told CBS News. “They were not allowed to do their job. They were not called upon.”

Information shared with CBS News from top counterterrorism sources in the government and military reveal keen frustration over the U.S. response on Sept. 11, the night ambassador Chris Stevens and 3 other Americans were killed in a coordinated attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya.

The circumstances of the attack, including the intelligence and security situation there, will be the subject of a Senate Intelligence Committee closed hearing on Nov. 15, with additional hearings to follow.

    I wnat to see the 11/07/2012 Poll….

  • Mark

I am a 2 issue voter. My main issue is defense and military which both sides suck, but the republicans are much much much worse. My second issue is personal freedoms which Democrats are much better. I probably would vote for Republicans if it wasn’t for the fact they are terrible when it comes to defense spending(talk about wasting money) and more socially liberal.

That one will be correct :-)

*Reports of Fistfights, Guns Drawn, Nat’l Guard Presence over NY, NJ Gas Shortages

This one may get out of hands real quick. If it does, it will 100% effect the election.

  • Mark2

That’s why you have investigations. You don’t rush into the blame game until the investigation(s) are over with. You given them time to sort through all the details, interviews, evidence, etc., and then you can determin who is to blame. However, Fox News and a lot of the wingnuts are constantly coming up with conspiracy theories and accepting speculation as fact. That’s very irresponsible of Fox News and anyone else who does that.
I’m sure once all the details come out, key leaders will be held responsible. But until then, stop politicizing the deaths of 4 Americans.

  • Coffee Steve

    That’s why you have investigations

The information from CBS and Fox are from Classified Documents. I ask this in a friendly way Mark, but why do you and some defend these actions? The CBS report that Fox is also reporting on shows without any question, Military and response protocol was not followed and now eve CBS news is referring to this latest story. Mark? They screwed up. I know your just taking up for your side, but all of us on all sides need to hold those who screw up accountable.

And Yes Mark, I held Bush to that standard as well.

By the way I told d.d today that CBS was about to un-leash their reporters on this story, they have begun that. By all means defend your side Mark, but enough is known to be fact to show The WH story on that Idiots video was conceived as a diversion. And it’s wrong Mark.

  • Mark2

I’m not defending their actions of lack thereof. I’m simply stating that we can’t rush to judgement of who is to blame until the investigation is complete. You can’t take part of the reports and figure out what exactly happened and who failed in responding, who didn’t follow orders, who disregarded orders, etc. That’s why you wait until the investigation is over with. But until then, listen to most of the families of those who were killed and STOP politicizing the deaths of 4 Americans.

  • Coffee Steve

Well stated, and I do understand that concern Mark. But to some of us enough is known that we simply feel there needs to be more clear explanations so people can vote with assurence.

You have to admit Mark, or at least I think so, that if from day one, they just said it was a terrorist attack and they would find the ones who did this and bring them to justice, none of this would be a story.

  • Mark2

Keep in mind tht the 9/11 Commission wasn’t set up until Nov of 2002, over a year later. And their final report wasn’t released until July of 2004, almost 3 years later. And yet, Fox News and the wingnuts expect final report now, lol.

  • Coffee Steve

Fox News and the wingnuts expect final report now,

If not for Fox news and now CBS Mark, there would be no investigation, that what my profession does, we seek answers and when the public doesn’t get them, the press is suppose to demand them, and make those who works for us realize, the public has the right to know, not when they eish it to be known, but as soon as it can be known.

Without that, there is no limit to abuse of power.

Lets just agree to dis-agree. Good Discusion though.

  • Coffee Steve

^not when they eish it to be known

not when they wish it to be known

“If we turn out like we did in 2010, the same thing is gonna happen as happened in 2010. That’s all it’s about, is turnout.” -Rush Limbaugh

@Steve “You have to admit Mark, or at least I think so, that if from day one, they just said it was a terrorist attack and they would find the ones who did this and bring them to justice, none of this would be a story.

Yes, they screwed the pooch on that one but I still believe Fox News would’ve politicized it. As far as finding who did it, keep in mind how long it’s taken us to bring other Terrorists to justice.

“If you scare easily — if you’re looking for reasons to be upset, if you’re not confident anyway — stay away from the Internet and television starting now. Just come here every day from noon to three, and I — with no reason to lie to you — will tell you what’s up.” -Rush Limbaugh

  • lbsles

“The 2010 election was devastating for the Democrats, and it’s not done one thing but get worse since then. Spending has gone up, the debt has gotten larger, family income has shrunk, and unemployment has gone up. The poverty level has gone up, too, and the number of people on food stamps has almost doubled.” -Rush Limbaugh

  • lbsles

“Obama acts presidential. He gets a picture hugging a woman in New Jersey, and people say, ‘Oh, no, it’s a game-changer!’ He’s supposed to be doing that every day. For every woman that Obama hugged, 15,000 people are in line for a gallon of gasoline for their generators.” -Rush Limbaugh
