Cowboys Versus Geeks: Will the CMAs Beat 'Big Bang Theory'? - Poll

The Big Bang Theory has been Thursday's undisputed ratings champ this season. Tonight, it faces stiff competition from The CMA Awards. Last year, the CMAs scored a 4.8 adults 18-49 rating on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Last week, The Big Bang Theory garnered a 5.0 adults 18-49 rating, up from a 4.8 on October 18. Which program will emerge victorious? Make your predictions.

I predict the CMA’s will be down down down this year, TBBT should easily beat it.

Being the power outages are more in the east which isnt into country as much anyways maybe TBBT will be hurt more by that.

  • Max Vrany

@capslocke, seconded, it won’t be a blowout, but it won’t be that close either.

  • Zth

Wow. Given that XFactor faces both CMA and a repeat of TheVoice and given the terrible episode last night it is very likely that its rating will be under 2 – a “how low can you go situation”. I predict a horrendous 1.9.

BBT should win easily, but when I saw that last option I had to vote for it. What a crazy week this has been!

  • RJ

It’ll be very close for both shows.

It’ll be close, but TBBT will stay on top of it.

  • KJ Styles

Big Bang will win but it won’t be a blowout. Hurricane Sandy will keep the ratings closer.

  • Walker

BBT. I could not care less about yet another country music awards show…

  • MJDB

I don’t like The Big Bang Theory or the CMAs, but I think The Big Bang Theory will win. Wouldn’t it be funny if Two and a Half Men (which I love) beat the CMAs.

  • Leondre

    TBBT-4.7 CMAs-4.4

NFL and college football should take a bite out of some of the action, too. Hvae to give the lean to TBBT… barely.

This country has had all of Taylor Swift and her breakup-of-the-month-that it can stand.

    The hicks can’t hang
    With the boys from Bang.

Am I the only one who has noticed that every episode this year looks like it takes place at night? Even tonight’s episode (11/1/12), at the end when Penny rubs it in Leonard’s face about the grade she got on her paper, the hallway looked dark. It never looked like that before. In Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment, the window in the back, it’s always darkened, indicating nighttime. In last week’s episode, when they were in the lunchroom at the university, that was dark. What gives?

Country music has an awards show every other week. I’m just glad they are usually on a network I only watch Castle on.

Wish I would start getting tvbythenumbers the day they come out instead of the day after the poll is for. Just got this on Friday and the poll is about something happening on Thursday.
