speaking of being hit, 30 rock went from a 1.5 to 1.1?
Woaa what is going on with last night’s ratings, I have never seen shows taking such huge hits.
Nashville is not catching on cause it was marketed between its main characters Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere). People are expecting those two to catfight and its yet to happen. I too am disappointed. Rayna and Juliette need to not only be arch enemies but fight each other every chance they get.
Come on:
Alexis and Krystle (Dynasty)
Brooke Logan and Stephanie Forrester and/or Taylor Hayes (Bold and the Beautiful)
Jill Foster and Katherine Chancellor (Young and the Restless)
The Best Soaps have women staring daggers. Even Revenge has Emily Throne (The Real Amanda Clarke) and Victoria Grayson.
@EatMorePez
Believe it or not Barney Miller was praised as being the most accurate depiction of real cop life. Great old show, wonderful characters expertly portrayed. Catch if you haven’t seen it yet.
ymmv
The problem with Nashville is the casting. Connie Britton is dull as dishwater and is definitely not a sexy leading lady. Hayden P fares better but she is also lost amongst a sea of banal actors playing indistinguishable characters.
I actually forgot that Arrow was on yesterday, I remembered around 8:50ish. Can’t wait for next week’s episode though, Deathstroke!

I liked Nashville at the start, but was very disappointed in last night’s episode. The guy barely knew the woman, yet they ended up in bed. I was hoping Nashville would not follow the same sex before you even know the person formula of other shows, but I guess not. If it weren’t for Connie Britton, I would not watch it. Hayden is not too bad, but the aforementioned guy and the girl he sings with, plus her boyfriend are very dull.
Chicago Fire, Lol, It is about as thin a show as H50. Whoever thought the guy from House could be the lead needs their head examined. Even funnier, was the lousy camerawork for the Fire Chief(?) when he went back to his office. They must think viewers are stupid, lol. This show needs to go ASAP
With all the pre-emptions this week, 1.0 isn’t too bad for Arrow.
Damn it Guys with Kids…..People start watching this incredible show.
CW was pre-empted in Chicago, not to mention the power outages still in the East Coast.
Arrow’s steady.
@Candy – You don’t know how this all works, do you? You can’t just “move” a TV show to another network. Chicago Fire isn’t just going to be shifted to cable because it’s not doing all that well on broadcast. SVU can’t just be shipped off to TNT, for more reasons than just “that’s not how it works.”
Networks also can’t just move EVERY show around that isn’t “doing what NCIS is doing.”
@John
Wasn’t it pre-empted in New York as well for some Halloween special?
@Candy
“NBC can rebuild Wednesday night, they don’t need LAW & ORDER: SVU and CHICAGO FIRE to do that! They only time you DON’T move a series is if it’s been doing what NCIS is doing and what CRIMINAL MINDS used to do on CBS!”
What is it that CM used to do for CBS that it isn’t doing now? Criminal Minds IS CBS number 2 drama, it beats everything on CBS but NCIS.
CM average this season in A18-49 is a 3.04, NCIS:LA 3.02, NCIS 3.56, hawai 5-0 1.95, Vegas 1.96, POI 2.9 & Elementary 2.55. CBS average for the season is 2.31. So CM is doing for CBS what it’s been doing for years, dishing out good, solid performance in the most competitive timeslot (not taking into account sundays with football).
CBS highest rated show last night in every measurement: viewers, HH, 18-49, 25-54 and 18-34. What more could CM do? What more could CBS ask from a 8 years old show? CM is doing better than younger, more promoted/hyped shows on the CBS roster, and nearly all from the rest of the networks too.
“Wasn’t it pre-empted in New York as well for some Halloween special?”
The Halloween parade was canceled. CW ran normally in NYC.
I think it’s hilarious how people will rant on about how Nikita would do so well if it were off Fridays or that its ratings don’t matter even though it’s dead last on the network right now, but they’re jumping all over Arrow and SPN doing a respectable second and third on the network in a week when both were preempted by sports and were dealing with at least some hurricane blackout. Fan Excuse Bingo is a wonderful thing.
Darn it! Supernatural was adjusted down! Ah well. Hopefully with no preemptions or power outages next week, the ratings will go up again!
should have mention the CBS average of 2.31 is for the drama, it doesn’t include anything else.
@Bill Gorman
It’s ratings are currently in the “toss up” range. Identical to Nashville, and marginally better than Castle and Scandal.
At current ratings levels, a renewal would hardly require pity.
Ha, you tell them. I find myself being very protective of The Neighbors. I understand if people don’t like it, but The Neighbors is a funny and sweet show. I find the irrational attacks on the show downright wacky and undeserved.
Is everyone forgetting that Wednesday night was Halloween? I think it is safe to say that most shows suffered as a result of that. CW probably most of all as their entire target audience is made up of teenagers and young adults with small children!
