    The X Floptor needs a lead-in…

    lol @ Brandy….you went on a bit of a ranty rant there! :)

  • Brandy

    Panda, yeah I did.sorry.A lot of other posters here have reccently been complaining about SC &Ringer fans taking over,or still discussing them long after they were cancelled or are tired of them bashing all almost other cw shows.

    The Big Bang Theory had a really great episode last night. I’m glad to see it as the #1 comedy. I would really like to see Kaley Cuoco getting more recognition for her character. She was hilarious last night.

    I’m also impressed with Elementary. It stayed consistent even against stronger competition in the CMA awards. With it continuing to tie CSI in the demo, this will be the drama CBS has return for a second season.

    Also interesting to see The Vampire Diaries the number #1 show on CW in demo this week. Hopefully Arrow will rise again to challenge it.

    @Networkman

    TVD was always the number 1 show on the network arrow only beat it in viewers except this week TVD beat it in viewers too.

    Jeez Brandy! Nobody is gonna read all that! Lol

    I think the BBT started getting better when they added the female characters, Bernadette and Amy. Without them, it was getting stale. With these two additions, the dynamics totally changed and made the show more appealing to men and women. The material was fresher and funnier.

    So Person of Interest still can’t crack a 3.0. :D

    Terrible for X Factor. Those ratings are getting embarrassing.

    Excellent for Vampire Diaries. Too bad the CW can’t find anything after it to keep the audience.

    The Walking Dead > Big Bang

    I enjoy Emily Owens more than Beauty/Beast. However, both need significant makeovers. I keep hoping Emily will turn into a fresher, hotter Greys, but it hasn’t yet. Beauty has such moody potential, but it’s such a stilted show. Missed opportunities in both shows, so far. Arrow, on the other hand, is awesome.

    @ Brandy There’s no reason why we fans of the Secret Circle should be thrilled with the way our favorite show was cancelled. If you think we’re then going to be gracious enough to silently acquiesce in the CW’s putting an even worse show in its former time slot, you’ve got another thing coming. With the possible exception of Arrow, virtually every show the CW has put on the air recently is a failure. So, regardless of what’s happened to TSC, there are myriad reasons for trashing the CW. I get the impression that a lot of TSC fans walked away from the CW after TSC was cancelled. I’m one of them and I’m certainly not missing much. I’d also like to believe that, unlike the biggies, that the exodus possibly had an effect on the network’s overall ratings decline. So, sorry about our lack of tact but, considering the overall absence of good programming at the CW, none of us have anything to apologize for.

    Holy cow TBBT!

  • JRG

    Wait, so the NFL game was shown on the CBS affiliate in San Diego. Yet, the BBT was adjusted up, not down? Has that ever happened before?

    The ratings for “Bang” should give every network executive some hope that it’s still possible to grab an audience.

    I don’t have much else to say about these ratings, except that Fox has to be hoping the CMA awards hurt “X.” Otherwise, they will probably be in panic mode pretty soon. How can they me making money when the ratings are like this? It also makes you wonder what ‘Idol” will be like when it gets back.

    @Ariadnne

    I won’t be to happy, Glee is back next week we’ll see if TVD can hold this, and beside this show (that i actually whatch since season 1) won’t survive the years that Supernatural or Smallville aired, no matter how high the ratings are.

  • Brian J

    @Matt:

    Why do you think “Bang” would do better at 9:00?

    I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: given that “Bang” is strong and only getting stronger, it’s puzzling to me that CBS didn’t order more sitcoms, given that it supposedly wanted to put four comedies on Thursdays. Was its development really that bad?

    GOD, WAY TO GOOD FOR TVD! GO TVD!

    Person of Interest was excellent this week. Gloria Votsis AND Paige Turco – a two-fer! :-) The continuation of the HR saga was good. Fusco’s actions will no doubt get him in trouble with Reese.

    The Vampire Diaries was good as usual, with a new set of mysterious enemies to deal with and a good performance by Claire Holt as Rebecca. I’m waiting for the new vampire Elena and the old vampire Katherine to confront each other. You know it’s gotta happen – technical issues notwithstanding… :-)

    Beauty and the Beast was OK, with Madchen Amick being a hot suspect, and a temporary resolution of the corporate hunter crisis. Still, this show is likely to drop to a .4-.5 range before long, like most of the rest of the CW lineup.

    “Glee is back next week we’ll see if TVD can hold this”

    Why the hell would Glee hurt TVD when it airs in a different timeslot? Besides, with the ratings X Factor is pulling, Glee may be below a 2.0.

    GO TVD! Almost the same as The Voice! That is awesome!
