You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

@Tom They should move it away from TVD wasting a good lead in. Hopefully Cult gets it at midseason.

  • darius

Simon Fuller must be laughing of The X Factor s numbers.Simon Cowell should ve stayed on American Idol.

  • Justin121

Winners: Big Bang (beat MOdern Family by a whole point!!!??!)

Vamp Diaries, Voice(don’t expose), CBS, heck even Rock Center was awinner last night. A multi-year high I believe and more viewers than the Voice!

    Losers: The X-Factor :D

    2.3 ha ha ha :D

  • The Old Woman

Are you saying TVD does not objectify women? lol! That’s the only thing TVD does. All it has are damsels in distress (Elena)and women getting abused for the sake of giving development to poor, misunderstood male characters who will be excused for anything they do including rape just because they are hot.

Nikita has a strong lead character who kicks ass, has a strong friendship between two female characters and passes the Bechdel test.

Don’t even compare the 2 shows. The ratings show who watches the CW. Teen girls who love these vampire soap dramas. Nikita is on the wrong channel.

  • Mike

Big Bang Theory was one of their funniest episodes to date last night, I am not surprised at the 5.1 number presuming it holds.

  • mxxlive

What is happening with The X Factor? FOX JUST LITERALLY KILLED THE X FACTOR.

Change the voice over and everything can seem better.

    FOX… fix yourself

  • fra

Beauty and the beast MUST be MOVED. It’s really absurd to leave it after TVD. They must put CULT at 9.00!
b&b is wasting more than half of the tvd lead in! If i was at cw i will try to save Nikita’s ratings putting it back on thursday… at least for syndacation.

  • TimsDale4ever

X Factor might would do better if these shows weren’t on 24-7 ad nauseum. Same thing with DANCING. Does it really take 2 hours for 8 couples to dance? I think it’s still on for 2 hours when they get down to 4. Ridiculous.

  • Noon

Is Elementary doing good enough to get a full season pickup? Biting my nails!!!

  • MDM

I will never understand the appeal of Big Bang Theory.

  • FOXisthebestnetwork

even though the x factor flopped, but i’ll still love fox…

  • were123

How is it that Beauty and the Beast retains so poorly? TVD is up sharply and the show can’t even notch a tenth? Something tells me it is going to suffer TSC’s fate!
Really glad for TBBT! 5.1 is huge!

  • Michael

Nikita and ANTM tonight. We’ll see what comes out on top this week for the CW.

  • TimsDale4ever

Is there no CW show on at 10?

  • Ryan

@Noon- It already got a full season pick up; but that doesn’t mean anything for a second season

  • Jiji Moran

The reason “Elementary” is getting decent ratings is because it has NO (zero, nada, zilch) competition in its time slot.

  • ccoleph

TXF was SO STEADY at the 3s AND THE FOX KILLED IT. With just one minor mistake. Then didn`t promote the new schedule that well.

  • MDM

Also, to NBC, you can’t trick people into watching a rerun of the Voice. The comedy block would have done better.

  • Max Vrany

    1. I’m asssuming there’s an out for FOX in the contract. However,…
    2. X-Factor is still making some money for FOX even at those levels. Even if it weren’t, FOX would still air it to recoup some of the money they wasted on it. (ala NBC and Mockingbird Lane)
    3. Idol won’t tank like X-Factor, but it still will be down significantly.

I wonder if Simon will be wanting his old AI job back?
