You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Poor X Factor. I don’t know how the ratings have got so low. It was very steady before Fox messed around with the judges houses episode.

Very strong for TVD. Last night’s episode was fantastic!

  • CeCe

    @ Perdix,

X Factor USA is running simultaneously with the UK and Australian version, UK version is on thursday as well that’s probably the main reason. The Voice USA does a very good job in social media going against all those 3 English speaking X Factor markets though.

  • Perdix

    @Bill Gorman

is there a way we can know the each episode cost of the X-Factor? And it’s revenue?

X-Factor is the 2nd highest earning TV show of 2011-2012, only behind the American Idol

Speaking of Hart of Dixie..I personally don’t feel the show has anything to worry about. Its one of the brighter spots on the CW whose audience continues to stay extremely steady. Plus the fact I’m sure it’s a lot cheaper to produce than B&TB or Nikita.

If the CW does want to continue Nikita for syndication purposes why not air it over the Summer?. Its not doing the CW any favors on Friday nights.

@Jiji – How could you not call the CMAs competition? Look at the ratings.

Besides, you’re missing the point. The CMAs gave Elementary the most competition it has had all season, yet Elementary’s ratings went up. What does this tell us? It may not have strong competition normally, but it’s still a strong performer even with competition.

i dont think HOD is in trouble, it doesnt have a lead it and has preformed decent on its own, were as BATB has an amazing lead it and isnt doing good enough, but dont get me wrong i lovw BATB and think its a great show, i PVR it…but when u fall that much from your lead it, it aint looking to well for you, but why dont any of these actors promote there shows,i never seen any of them on day time or prime time promoting, then its really there own fault, i dont remember the last time anyone from 90210 promoted,

  • Michael

Arrow is strong enough to anchor its own night. So no, TVD + Arrow shouldn’t be paired together. Same applies to Supernatural!

  • CeCe

People blaming FOX for the mess that X-Factor is in should really pay attention to the contestants because they are quite frankly not up to standard against Idol and the Voice which obviously explain the difference in ratings.

How? How the heck can they make money with these ratings? They spend a lot of money on it.

    Lol at X Factor fans!!!~ :)

X Factor is great? Really? Numbers don’t lie!

Come on, force yourselves harder to believe that it is a “great” show.

I watch the live shows (2 straight nights) to investigate but it could hardly keep my attention.

It’s overly done, forced and the talent is subpar compared to The Voice!

Lol! Fool yourselves! The numbers won’t change!!!!!~ :)

  • Lisa

Bad for Beauty and the Beast, considering. The Vampire Diaries lead-in should benefit a different show at midseason, IMO.

  • I luv nickelodeon

I don’t understand why x factor is low in viewers.?? Everybody I know watches it and they think x factor is way better than the voice, it’s 10xxx better.! They should fire LA Reid and Britney and put in Rihana and Enrique Iglesias.! I hope the do that next season. Xfactor is not a bad show.!

  • Perdix

@CeCe thanks :) Well, let’s hope X-Factor rebounded next week and also New Girl.

  • Steph

    Rihanna shouldn’t be judging anyone’s talent…

Oh god those X Factor numbers are HORRID. I think what happened is the word of mouth of Wednesday’s live show got through. How horrible the judges panel chemistry was, how bad the performances/song choices were and god Simon Cowell is so tired on this. This is really really bad numbers. They are getting now HALF THE VIEWERSHIP THE Voice is. If I were Simon/FOX I would be very very nervous about the Voice. The Voice is going to MURDER the X Factor next week. Maybe what they should do next Thursday is switch Glee/X Factor for one week. IMO I think FOX was too early on renewing it. Its crashing and burning. It held up fine in auditions/boot camp and the screw up judges houses didn’t matter. The live shows are so bad. Khloe Kardashian UGH get her gone. If I were FOX make a deal with Simon to return to Idol for 2014. Simon should know he needs Idol badly more than they even need HIM.

How would you guys predict the Voice/X Factor matchup next week?

  • CrimTV

Well apparently Cult starts in Jan according to a tweet from one of its stars so perhaps B&TB will move to Tue/Fri !

  • Two

NBC airing The Voice repeat was not meant to trick viewers. It was meant for the millions of people on the east coast who either lost power or had storm coverage preemptions during Hurricane Sandy.

  • Percysowner

When Arrow is continue it decline and Supernatural is sure to fall as well.

This week Arrow was down and SPN was up, so not necessarily. Admittedly last week’s SPN was billed as being a change up from the normal format, but still it’s demo ratings stayed steady, but low for the whole show. Then it went up again this week. SPN seems to be less lead in dependent than many shows.

  • RyanCanada

@CeCE you are wrong, big time, FOX messed up when it air part of the episode and re aired in it monday, and bumping up the live shows a week earlier, its ALLL fox’s fault,
