In late-night metered-market households Friday night:

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2012 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

0.4 is horrible. What is wrong with you idiots?

  • Brian J

I thought NBC’s benefit was going to air all night. Oh well. NBC did pretty well, but I do think it should move “Grimm” to Wednesdays and pair it with “Hannibal.”

    CBS did decently, as usual.

    Fox…oh well, who cares?

ABC has to be over the moon with these numbers, particularly for “Shark Tank.” It would be happy with these numbers on any night, but on a Friday. “Grimm” now has some serious competition. And those sitcoms? What it wouldn’t do for a 2.2 on Tuesday night! If they can keep up, ABC might finally have a chance to reboot “TGIF.”

I know “How to Live…” and “Family Tools” are scheduled for Tuesday while “Dancing” takes a break. If they do well, perhaps ABC could move them to Fridays at 9:00 and move “Shark Tank” to Thursdays at 8:00.

Nikita retained all ANTM and broke the million viewer mark… Huge for Nikita. Good for CW! Especially as it faced Shark Tank. ABC should be thrilled – their Fridays might end up better then some of their other nights.

  • Dan T

Didnt NBC air a rerun of Revolution instead of Dateline?

  • Just

0.4 is terrible but still a great improvement from last week ratings

  • RMH

Is it just my screen, or does the picture look blue?

  • Michael

    @Crim Tv-sorry I meant the second-highest drama. My bad.

  • Chris

Huge fan of the TGIF concept but as good as the numbers are I can’t help but to feel they should have been better at least for LMS. The backlash LMS got last night for the recastings and their political episode was huge. I’m saddened to say that LMS might not even return next season.

NBC is down from last week. (Airing Mockingbird)

ABC is doing great on friday, love the two comedies

  • John A

If that 0.4 holds Nikita did do well. Not amazing but not too bad either people.

  • eridapo

And clearly Grimm is strong. And it deserved that The Voice lead in that was supposed to happen earlier this season. It deserves it waaaaay more than Chicago Fire, which Grimm has beaten for the past few weeks now and it’s on a Friday. Grimm was NBC #2 drama this week behind Revolution

At least Nikita can say it beat EOMD, small victory?

Why? At these level of ratings, the difference of a tenth is meaningless. The difference is explainable by the sampling measurement error.

  • Felix

Really happy to see Nikita up. Let’s just hope it doesn’t adjust down in the finals. A 0,4 would be great for it! I’d be higher that Emily Owens M.D!

  • John A

Still Arrow and TVD repeats would do the same or better on friday than either ANTM or Nikita.

  • Danimals

Whoa! What happen with Nikita, an amazing show of life. Probably going to be adjusted down on Monday.

  • Brandy

Maximillan, those numbers aren’t right.Nikita got a 0.3 & Top Model a 0.6 so no Nikita didn’t retain Top Models audience.

  • The Old Woman

Yeah, now that Shark Tank is on @ 9, Grimm is not going to win that spot and the ABC comedies are going to win the scripted show ratings for the night. Like someone said, ABC is killing it on Friday nights.

NBC should atleast try a new show in it’s 8 P.M spot. It sucks that they are still using it to air repeats while all the other networks have something new airing in that time slot.

  • LT

    Nikita fans are delusional.

  • Timmy G

The Power of Reba strikes again.

No surprise here, remember when she was on “Who Do You Think You Are?” a few years ago and that ended up bringing in big ratings?

  • DougF

Were there any pre-emptions due to basketball last night? Just wondering because I want to get that out of the way for Monday when Nikita is adjusted down and Nikita fans try to use it as Fan Excuse Bingo

  • John A

Where are people seeing 0.6 for ANTM and 0.3 for Nikita? That sounds like the ratings 2 weeks ago
