JERMAINE PAUL – REIGNING CHAMP OF ‘The Voice’ SEASON TWO – RETURNS FOR A SPECIAL PERFORMANCE OF HIS DEBUT SINGLE ‘I BELIEVE IN THIS LIFE’

THE TOP 12 ARTISTS WILL BE REVEALED

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – November 5, 2012 -- In a special performance, “The Voice” Coach Adam Levine and his band, Maroon 5, will debut their newest single “Daylight” on the NBC’s “The Voice” Live Playoffs Results Show Thursday, November 8 (8-9 p.m. ET). In addition, reigning Season Two champ Jermaine Paul returns to “The Voice” for a special performance of his debut single “I Believe in This Life.”

Then, the Top 12 artists will be determined as two artists from each team will be sent home on “The Voice” Live Playoff Results Show, Thursday, November 8 (8-9 p.m. ET). In the first elimination show of the season, the two artists who receive the most viewer votes on each team from the previous nights’ Live Playoffs, will be saved and guaranteed a spot in the Monday, November 12 Live Show. Meanwhile, each coach is tasked with the difficult decision of choosing one more artist from the remaining three to move forward in the competition and perform in the next week’s Live Show, thereby eliminating the other artists.

"The Voice" features the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show's third season. Celebrity musician coaches Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton return along with Carson Daly as host and Christina Milian as Social Media Correspondent.

In the final live performance phase of the competition, the top artists from each team will compete each week against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience will vote to save their favorite artists and the two artists with the lowest number of votes will be sent home each week, no matter what team they are on. In the end, one will be named “The Voice” and will receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

“The Voice” is a presentation of One Three Inc. (a Hearst/Mark Burnett company), Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series is created by John de Mol, who executive-produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.

I’m looking forward to Thursday when The Voice crushes X-Factor and No Direction.

LOL @ The Voice and their 2 flop winners. Jermaine Paul has virtually went off the map since his win, and they think one performance on the show will make him a success. I don’t think so.

  • Ashley

Glad they changed th format where the worse two go bye instead of keeping them just b/c they were on separate teams. I think Team CeeLo will go far and make it to top 2.

  • Stefan

Hard to imagine how Jermaine could have been successful up until now considering his debut album has not been released yet. I personally expect it to tank, but right now we have no way of knowing whether he will disappear faster than you can say Javier Colon.

What?!?! Why not Christina, she has an album coming out next week!

  • TVMAN

@Stefan. You can pretty much can conclude he will flop. Javier had his winning single sell over 100k first week(quickly dropped after) and he couldn’t translate that into anything album wise. Jermaine released a promo single that didn’t even make top 1000 on iTunes

Regardless, TVwise, the show’s a huge hit trampling all of its competition! :)

With the success story of The Voice in the fall I’m sure it will change the fate of the winner and be much better than the first two.

The same thing that happened to the show this season will most likely happen to the new winner as well.

The X Factor as well has yet to produce a successful winner off its AMERICAN version. But with the ratings it has this season, it is most likely that regardless of the winner, success would be too far from reality. Nobody watches the show so nobody would be interested to buy that winner’s album.
