Great news for Malibu Country! Funny show and a great cast. ABC better not mess with success!

  • James

    @networkman

I love Blue Bloods and although I total viewers are not the key statistic I think out of it’s 50 episodes so far it has been number one in viewers since it’s inception. Hopefully it will be around for a while yet I think it’s the best cop drama since NYPD Blue.

  • cris

why Grimm? you are always the first

    3rd place CSI: NY ouch

  • Hugh

I was spot on in my guess, LMS 2.0.
Was off 0.5 with Malibu though

  • Luke

Am I the only one who thinks ABC should swap out Shark Tank for Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B? I think the stronger lead-in could help Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B’s ratings.

  • rob60990

Ruin Shark Tank’s success for 2 flops? Not a smart idea. :)

  • JR

I’ll probably tune in again to watch Malibu Country- though it’s somewhat painful whenever Reba puts a big smile on- wish she didn’t do whatever she did to her face. She does do the corny stuff well.

  • Nick

The Tuesday comedies are not coming to Fridays. They’re not going to ruin Shark Tank’s success. Next year, maybe. But not now.
Happy Endings will either go to Saturdays (a la Rules of Engagement) or to a cable network (a la Cougar Town) to get the 1 1/2 seasons it needs for syndication.
Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 is getting cancelled, plain and simple.

  • Nick

    ^
I didn’t write that right. Next year, maybe they will move Shark Tank for TGIF, but not the Tuesday comedies. Sorry for not clearing that up.

Once again, the ratings for Nikita are almost meaningless since it should never have been renewed last season based on ratings.

So all the crowing about it is also meaningless, pro or con.

If you don’t care about Fringe ratings because it’s a final season, then do the same for Nikita because it’s likely to be renewed regardless.

As I’ve said before, it’s an “anomaly show” and the ratings don’t apply.

  • Bern

Great job for Reba new show. I like it! Hope those ratings continue to be great.
Damn for Nikita. This show deserves better than those awful ratings but for CW it’s decent ratings.

  • coolioni

I was looking at the ratings for season 1 of Fringe and I can’t believe how low the ratings have went down since the first season. I really am surprised that Fox kept it for 5 seasons. It really has been a wonderful show..actually one of my all time favorite sci-fi shows so far.
As far as this last season of Fringe I think it is o.k. but I really would have perferred a different story than what has been going on so far this season.
It is very dark compared to the last 4 seasons.

  • getmilk

Not surprised at Nikita’s adjustment but it’s still so stupid of The CW to be airing Nikita against Grimm and Fringe.

ANTM is not a lead-in! Swap the timeslots already.

  • Alexis

Sucks about Nikita being adjusted down, not so much because I’m desperate for a fourth season (if they can wrap it up satisfyingly after three, that’s great) but because the cast and crew deserve better. They work their asses off to deliver such a well-written, well-made, intelligent, exciting show, and seeing such horrible numbers must be disheartening. Not that 0.4 is that much better than 0.3, but still.

Thank god for Twitter providing a good platform for fans to show their appreciation, even if they can’t contribute to Nielsen ratings. (The same applies to all social media, but Twitter is the best direct channel to the cast/crew of shows.)

How To Live With Your Parents could be a good fit to fridays and a new TGIF comedy block next season, after run on Spring on wednesdays if ABC don’t have a replacement for Neigbours.

ABC should give up tuesday comedy block and bet on fridays again.
Family Tools, Happy Endings, Apartment 23 and Neigbhors all gone by the end of the season.

If LMS and Reba don’t fall below a 1.6 all season abc should try this:
    2013/2014
    Friday
    SEPT 27-OCT 25 AND APRIL 18-MAY 30
    MAY (1.8) (5+7 Weeks)
    8PM Shark Tank (2.0) (12*120′)
    10PM 20/20 (1.4)

    NOVEMBER 1 – APRIL 11 (2.0) (24 WEEKS-22 EPISODES)
    8PM Last Man Standing (1.8)
    8:30PM Reba (2.0)
    9PM The Middle (2.4)
9:30PM How To Live With Your Parents (2.0)
    10PM Nashville (1.8)

    WEDNESDAY
    8PM Suburgatory
    8:30PM New Comedy
    9PM Modern Family
    9:30PM New Comedy
    10PM New Drama

Not a great surprise Nikita was revised down. A 0.2 rise was a bit much for a show that had plunged to 0.2 the week before. I beg to differ that a 0.3 rating is acceptable for CW.

Fringe ratings simply determine whether Fox loses money or not. The rate it is losing viewers ought to concern Fox executives. This show’s ratings reflect what happens when the writers change from trying to give it broad appeal to catering only for a vocal minority of fans.

Both shows are made by WB TV and, if WB wants, it can push almost any show to syndication.

I loved watching Last Man Standing last year…

Can’t believe they replaced 3 people in it and 10 minutes into it I stopped watching and removed it from my DVR list because it wasn’t the same…

    Bad Bad Bad

  • alexjones

well can’t say i’m surprised that nikita got adjusted down, at least it’s up from last week.

  • Cj morton

ABC should switch out Malibu country (maybe lms too) to another night. Maybe stick the hopelessly doomed apt 23 behind
    A better comedy on Friday.

  • Martine

How can Fringe and Nikita be adjusted down? Down to WHAT? The audience for Fringe and Nikita = One guy and his cat
