Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • ReallyTired

    Boardwalk Empire on HBO had maybe it’s finest episode of this season. (DVR’d Treme)

    Then we watched the Next Iron Chef on Food HD.

    No network tv on Sunday’s in our house.

  • Roco

    @ Glue, You are right, Scandal is so much better than Scandal, it’s Extraordinary, brillant and wicked. Best show on TV!

  • lancelot48

    Despite being horrendous the Cowboys pull in huge ratings. I watch every week knowing they will defeat themselves.

  • HB

    @Tessa

    Oh Com’on Revenge hasn’t stoop to TVD’s level. Its far above it! Revenge has story lines about characters not 4-5 triangles stuck at one place with no storyline.

  • Just

    oops my bad, Revenge did 2.7 last week

  • Joseph

    Put it this way guys! The Simpsons 2.6 is the second highest rated show on FOX this week behind X Factors 2.7!! FOX has no well rated shows apart from idol!

  • frodo

    By the way Revenge has higher ratings than it did last year, in fact compared to the 2.1 it was getting in the spring it is much more solid this season with mostly better ratings than this time last year.

  • RyanCanada

    Why are people worried about Revenge? its sitting pretty where it is, relax, and btw, Another amazing episode of Revenge and OUAT

  • s0303

    people..you are just giving max what he wants by responding negatively to him :)

    great for ouat…666 needs to be cancelled, no point in rebuilding their destroyed sets…tgw is such a great show…i’ll miss it :(

  • joel

    I’m a Revenger but I still don’t get OUAT. It doesn’t do anything for me except make me feel like I’m wasting my time.

  • jT

    Go once upon of a time!!!!!

    Revenge is nothing but a spot holder for S.H.E.I.L.D….i have nothing against the show.

  • meah

    I don’t like max’s approach but he is a bit right.Revenge total viewers is 7.2.that of scandal is 6.8 or 6.9.REVENGE is way more promoted than scandal so it should be doing way better.I enjoy both shows,in my opinion SCANDAL is better,besides scandal is trying as the FIRST TV DRAMA with a BLACK LEAD actress in over 60years.so if u have never watched it,try it out.we need to support our OWN

  • omabin

    that is very good for Once Upon a Time. It really has a shot at finishing the year as number 1 broadcast drama if spring drops are not too bad with it and if it has a nice big drop for the finale, especially as Greys and NCIS appear to be down this year. Revenge is still very solid. I think these will be the numbers it will be pulling from now on, between 2.5 and 2.8. It’s a fine area to hang at, it will be just fine and it’s the least of ABC’s problems now. Poor 666 is dead… And the cbs bubble dramas situation intensifies. I don’t know what to think. Elementary appears to have stabilized but I am not convinced yet. There is a shot that they will still can it and premiere two dramas in the fall only, Tuesday and Thrusday, as this year.

  • THE OLD MAN

    @ Michael

    I can’t believe that Jane hasn’t figured anything out yet & she keeps making stupid decisions that in the end get her no further ahead. I think the show overall is just a mess, which I’ve stated all along. Sandy did ABC a favor & they should just pull the plug.

  • Max

    How much longer will CBS put up with The Good Wife? I see a cancellation by May.

  • Michael

    @The Old Man

    Well, at least Jane finally figured out that’s her grandmother in the photo.

  • POIFanatic

    Good for The Mentalist. 666 is a fish out of water no matter what.

    I don’t watch OUAT, but kudos to that show. And Max is really annoying. I don’t watch Revenge either, but its doing great. His beloved (and mine) Scandal is the one that should be called a flop by his own terms.

    The real question is why’s the FOX animation block down so sharply!

  • Mi

    @jT Revenge will still be in Sundays, whether ABC launch the S.H.E.I.L.D on Sundays or not. It can work as both a 9PM and 10PM show and its renewal is certain imo.

  • Max

    @meah

    Spot on right there!

    Promotion of REVENGE >>> promotion of SCANDAL yet there’s no real ratings difference.

    @jT

    S.H.I.E.L.D will do amazing in REVENGE’s spot because it will be very compatible with OUAT. I see ABC moving REVENGE back to Wednesday where it will slowly die.

  • ClamCam

    Revenge is the #4 show on ABC! Period. Only MF, GA and OUAT are doing better…does anyone in their right minds think that it could be cancelled or something like that??
    ABC is in deep trouble this year and all of their freshman shows are flopping big time. It’s unthinkable that Revenge will be cancelled…Suck it @Max…
