Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @ Gabe

I find Max amusing, but I don’t reply to his comments. For your sake, just read his comments and have a laugh.

  • Justin121

Once Upon A Time 3.5 = series high

  • TVDude

For what it’s worth, I didn’t know the animation block was back. It showed repeats on the schedule I looked up. I just happen turn at 9pm and saw Bob’s Burgers on, which also threw me off since Family Guy is normally on at that time.

Once Upon A Time is still going strong in its second season. I hope it can hold up.

  • Holly

Mitovich is probably right. The numbers here are just for the primetime portion of the show (i.e. the first half hour).

  • Chris

I know one of FOX’s late games, Buccaneers at Raiders, ran past 7:30 ET. Obviously the 7:00 ET repeat of The Simpsons was preempted in parts of Florida (Fort Myers, Orlando, Tallahasse, and of course Tampa, according to the506.com); was (the new episode of) The Cleveland Show shown in full or joined in progress? If it was shown in full, it could (albeit only very slightly) scramble the cartoons’ ratings.

  • Skylar James

@Justin121: 3.5 is not a series high for OUAT

  • John A

Cry me a river Scandal fans. It has a great lead in and wastes it.

  • Fred

2nd season Revenge is doing no better (likely worse) than 8th season DH last season. Perhaps ABC should move Revenge back to Wednesday and try the struggling Nashville Sunday 10:00.

666 Park Ave is perhaps the most underappreciated show on ABC. Great production values, better than average acting AND some genuine scares. Should be moved to cable not canceled.

  • TomSFBay

Anyone else think the first poster, Max, is a bit delusional? It’s obvious he hates “Revenge”, but how can one rationally call a show that’s averaging in the mid to upper 2’s a failure? In today’s TV landscape, that’s pretty decent.

Very strange how some people behave.

  • Nick

Yay OUAT! Even though last night was my least favorite of the season, it was still a good epiosde.

Revenge :( Last night was Revenge’s BEST EPIOSDE EVER! Why wasn’t it up?

I usually don’t celebrate at shows having bad ratings, but 666’s failure menas a glimmer of hope for Last Resort & Nashville :-D!

Either The Cleveland Show or American Dad will be cancelled at the end of the season. I think it will be AD, because it’s in a much better timeslot and getting the same ratings. Bob’s Burgers is safe because its in its third season.

  • Fred

Forgot to mention that Sunday at 9:00 needs a stronger performer. Perhaps ABC has a good drama for the slot in the works.

  • r0ckmypants

@meah – You’re wrong. Undercovers aired just two years ago, and that show featured a black lead actress. Plus Jada Pinkett Smith in Hawthorne. And those are just off the top of my head.

But what TV drama were you referring to that had a black lead actress 60 years ago? 1952 wasn’t exactly a beacon of equality, and as far as I can remember there weren’t any dramas on the air then.

  • Linda

The Good Wife is very close to syndication status now and I think the ratings for it and the Mentalist will improve a lot once Sunday Night Football ends. I really do not believe either of these shows will be cancelled.

  • don juan

why do people spaz out when the ratings change a tenth of a point? this happens on both sides.

  • rosam

When will they realize Sunday nights not good for CBS..tgw,the mentalist bleeding :[

  • EnAmi

Why are people so bothered about what anyone says about Revenge? It’s ridiculous how bent out of shape people are getting, especially since it’s so clearly a bait.

Anyway, OUAT pulling in great ratings. I just can’t get into the show myself but it’s working for a lot of people. Poor 666 Park Avenue. It’s gotten better but few people seem to care.

  • Tlub

Question. I am not a Nielsen member. So my watching really doesn’t matter right? I just got in a fight with someone who was saying that my watching downlaods instead of on TV makes shows less likely to get canceled but I equated it to my vote not mattering unless I live in a swing state. True?

  • Tony

Why 666 is not a watching? It’s a great show..it’s better than OUAT especially for me…

  • Jinjeon

I’m sure this season of “The Good Wife” will be consisted of twenty episodes. Why? Because that’s how many episodes they need to syndication. And that’s it. It’s gonna be canceled. I can bet my life on it.

  • Hepha

Both TGW and Mentalist are in a difficult position this year… I don’t really care about TGW, but I want Mentalist to get better !
