Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • The End

    @MattBud

    So much hate. Sad.

  • Steve

Also, does it make me a bad person if I am glad that all of ABC’s new dramas (666, Nashville, and Last Resort) are all doing bad, in addition to Scandal being barely-not-a-flop because it keeps the cancellation bear far far away from Revenge?

  • bsp

    Go Falcons! Still undefeated!

The NFL in prime time simply crushes everything in its path.

  • John A

Will ABC really want to waste more money on 666 Park Avenue rebuilding sets for ratings that bad? They should cut their loses now.

  • Josh

I hope Revenge gets adjusted up. It’s such a great show and the plot keeps getting better. SPOILER: Mason Treadwell is back and may have figured out Emily is really Amanda….hope it gets adjusted up

  • Potato

@Steve– I agree with you about OUAT, but of course that won’t affect this week’s ratings because nobody saw it in advance. If anything it might affect next week’s. I almost always love the show but last night felt way too chaotic and there were a lot of leaps in logic.

And no, it doesn’t make you a bad person, but there’s no need for it– Revenge is safe

  • Alex

OUAT continues to be the show that breaks the rules. A show like this was supposed to be cancelled in 6 weeks. That’s the rule for these sorts of fantasy shows. Yet it’s survived and continues to grow and for one I’m happy about it. Folks dismissing it as “too soapy” and all that haven’t watched the show. Wish it had a stronger lead-in than AFHV.

  • Nick

    @Tlub
    That is true.

No, It makes you a very good person, with good taste.

  • Dennis

The Mentalist’ 100th episode airs yesterday.

  • Matt

60 Minutes is on at that time because it has been on at 7 pm, 6 central since 1975. CBS isn’t going to change that…

  • Kavyn

I don’t think 666 is poorly acted whatsoever. I also love the direction of the story. This is coming from someone that watches the episodes each week as opposed to the guy tired of “fantrolls” who probably only saw the pilot (which I agree was the weakest episode in terms of writing and acting).

  • Kavyn

Also I don’t understand the people (on TVLine mostly) that say Revenge went off track. All they really did was serialize the storyline which works just as well. Revenge isn’t my favourite show right now but it is of good quality. I just don’t think it pairs well with Once other than being the top 2 new shows last season. 666 fits the Once vibe in my personal opinion.

  • Dan S

Kudos to OUAT for scoring a healthy 3.5 last night. A little surprised Revenge slipped from the previous week but no surprises with 666 going down again. Maybe Scandal or Nashville would be better suited for following REV. Just curious as to why people love to see other shows die ?

  • Dan S

Deadline is reporting that Elementary is getting the post Super Bowl slot. I wonder why they maybe didn’t try to launch a new series like Golden Boy ? As I said before Elementary just isn’t that special just another boring procedural. It’s ratings are tepid so I guess they’re trying to get more eyes to watch in hopes of a boost.

  • Kelly

ABC should really just cut their losses. Between the low ratings and destroyed set, is 666 really worth the effort to restore and continue?
I have a feeling Mistresses may replace it midseason.

  • Jessie

why is ABC refuses to call defeat on 666 park avenue. They need to do a mercy killing. This show had everything in its favor, heavy promotion, two strong lead ins.

  • william

their is noting wrong once upon a time, it was going up against football. i think they should just replace revenge& park avenue 666 with other shows,i’am not saying cancel revenge, but i don’t think there are that many crossover once upon a time/revenge fans. they should move the neighbors to the time slot after once upon a time, or just make something new and original that once upon a time fans might actually watch.

  • Cyrax86

Maybe the plug will be pulled tomorrow, on election day, when nobody is paying attention on such stuff. I really can’t believe they’d rebuild the set to film 4-5 more episodes…

  • Josha

Sad to hear about The Good Wife :( I hope it picks up as it is one of the best shows on tele. It is well written and the actors are amazing. It is very real. I don’t know why people arn’t watching it or trashing it. I guess people like fairy tales. They should move it back to Tueaday nights or something. If they do decide.to cancel this show I pray they give it a final season :(
