Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

@Darryl, Just to clarify, you’re saying even though they’re losing so much money with the production of the show, they’re still willing to give t a mercy renewal on the slim chance that’d be more succesful?
Do you work for Fox btw? Do you know where all the shows revenue comes from? Because I’m pretty sure it’s not as straight forward as scripted programs.
Will Castle be adjusted up or down?
@Rion– They’ve always said that the reveal of the mother would be the end of the show. Revealing it early would be way more disrespectful and show that they’d run out of ideas. Besides, that ‘mystery’ has only ever taken up maybe 5% of the show
Half-hour numbers for Bones?
Partners should move. I think it is a funny show but it does nothing for CBS on Mondays. Now I would give it one shot somewhere else and if it does not perform well during that timeslot than cancel.
The long break won’t do Revolution any good. I keep watching the show but honestly i don’t know where the producers/the series is heading.
Gossip Girl at LA Complex ratings lol….Blake Lively still the highest paid actress on the CW?
“REVOLUTION” is slowly sinking. and with that 4 month-hiatus , People will COMPLETELY forget about the show.
HIMYM deserves the lower rating after that crap of an episode. I hope the show ends this season.
This needs to be the final season of HIMYM
This is what The CW should do /

As a person who has taken more than what was required of college Physics, the reason given why the electricty went out in RVN doesn’t make much sense. FYI: Electricity are moving electrons which have a negative charge and they also have weight and mass.
I watched Bones, 2BG = hella funny episode, i PVR’s M&M, Revolution, and Castle, freezing rain last night knocked the dish out during castle and revolution, so i taped the later west coast ones, thank god for satilite lol
@Darryll
It IS considered Flop Factor because ratings are even lower than their 1st season which in itself was already branded a flop.
The first season of The X Factor was a flop? Maybe they should burn all of the money that they made off of it!
@LoveMeForMe why would you pair Arrow with VD when there both strong leads???
@Mike
H50 has no excuse. A good lead in and a terrible result. Ouch. TNT should ask for the money back,
TNT should ask the money back for Castle too. Old L&O repeats do better. However, Turner should pull TNT all together, its shows suck anyway.
lol, Revolution drops a hair below a 3.0 for the first time and all of a sudden it is slowly sinking. I don’t understand why people get off on a show doing bad. Anyways, you all are idiots. This show just hovering around a 3.0 aread for it being a one hour drama and still leading it’s time slot on Monday night qualifies as one of the bigger hits NBC has had in a while and is thus far a hit. So for all the haters this show will more than likely be back in fall of 2013. I can’t wait for that to happen so I can hear all the wanna be tv critics on this site cry because they think the show is terrible.
@Love Me for Me, people will forget about Revolution as much as fans of The Walking Dead will forget about it on its extended hiatus. The alternative would be to run RVN from Jan thru May for next season if there was to be a noticeable drop off in ratings which isn’t too likely.
i stopped watching Mod doctor after episode two. only because i didnt wanna get invested in another show for it to be cancelled, thanks TVbythenumbers lol
