Nikita is moving back to its old stomping grounds at 8pm on Fridays beginning November 30 and Arrow repeats will air at 9pm according to The Futon Critic.   This Friday, Nov. 9, Nikita will still air at 9pm (America's Next Top Model airs at 8pm on Nov. 9 and from 8p-10p for its season finale on Nov. 16). After this Friday, Nikita will take the following two Fridays off before returning on November 30.  The Nikita/repeat Arrow pairing will run until at least January 18 excluding  Nov. 23, Dec. 14 and Dec. 21 where holiday specials are scheduled.

    At least they’re trying

  • Kavyn

All those breaks aren’t going to help Nikita, as well as the time change. But we’ll see…

  • Guilherme

Is it too late to correct their mistake?. I think Nikita should be the one paired with Arrow, not Supernatural.

  • Dan S

This will at least move it away from some favs of mine Fringe, Grimm & CSI:NY. Maybe at 8pm it might move up a little in the demo to 0.4 or even 0.5

  • Martine

Just cancel it already. No one wants to watch the skinny skank jump around and show off her panties.

  • r0ckmypants

@Guilherme – Why? Then everyone will complain that it’s up against too much competition airing against Modern Family and The X Factor.

  • Julianna

duh CW, wasn’t it better put Arrow repeats on 08pm and Nikita on 9pm

  • Adrian

Thank god! They should’ve never moved it to 9pm anyway. Idiots.

  • Acey

Probably the best thing The CW airs after TVD.

wasn’t it better put Arrow repeats on 08pm and Nikita on 9pm

My guess is probably not, at least not if the goal is to help NIKITA. In the aggregate the CW affiliates usually do better with their 7-8p hour (mostly syndicated repeats) than in primetime, so the 8pm shows technically have better lead-ins than the 9pm shows.

Arrows such a great show. Happy to see it get some extra exposure.

  • Ram510

Well this works out a lot better for me so now I can watch Grimm live again.

But will there be a new episode December 28th? They have the only the 14th and 21st. And why not run a new episode on the 14th?

They should really reconsider not airing a new Nikita on November 16 cause that’s too many breaks. That mean we only get 3 (4 if they include December 28) new episodes between now and the new year. That’s really low for a show that started mid October

@Ram: I didn’t see CW’s actual programming past Dec 24. It’s possible there will be holiday specials on 12/28, if not my guess is repeats of both Arrow and Nikita, but it’s just a guess.

  • DuMont

By my calculations, as of the turn of New Year’s, The CW will have only used a half-dozen of the 22-episode third season order, leaving 16 new episodes for the January-May, 2013 period.

Given that over the next two months ‘Nikita’ is unlikely to improve upon its ratings, I suspect there may have quietly been a reduction in the episode order. If the episode order has been cut back to, lets say 13 or so, that would give The CW enough inventory to use in the February and May Sweeps, with encores used in between, and ‘Nikita’ encores rate roughly the same as do her originals.

  • Oliver

Alternatively, The CW knew Nikita’s ratings would be terrible so their schedule is geared around trying to minimise repeats.

Moving it away from Grimm/Fringe/Shark Tank seems like a smart decision.

  • Oliver

Just to slightly hijack the thread, ABC is apparently testing Shark Tank on Tuesday at 8pm on December 4.

  • SVU: Fringe Division

Well at least Grimm is going on hiatus soon and once Fringe ends my DVR will be able to record Nikita while I watch Grimm live. (My CW affiliate pushes their shows back an hour)

  • david

Good move by the CW to put it back at 8 PM. I agree with Robert all the 8 pm shows rate higher than the 9 PM shows excluding Super Natural of course now. Good exposer for Arrow which is a great show. I hope this helps Nikitas ratings. I would like to believe that is why they moved it back to 8 like it was last season.

  • Pepper

Oh boy, maybe it’ll move up to a 0.4!

  • cros

then it will have no one to blame its failure on.

What would be your excuse now Nikita fans, oh thats right promotions, its on a friday its always something lol.
