With Halloween and election night officially behind us, the next big "event" to come to your television screen will be a metric ton of Christmas specials. Don't believe me?  NBCABC, The CW, ABC Family, and Nickelodeon, have already lined up quite the queue of holiday-themed programming all starting this month, and  The Hallmark Channel already aired a few Christmas specials during a "holiday preview" last weekend. So what do you think, Is Christmas starting a bit too soon, or are you just excited for two years of election coverage to finally be over? Vote below and feel free to rant in the comments!

    You spelt Obama wrong :)

I personnaly like Thanksgiving more. Christmas i could do without. It’s more for the kids.

  • Dan S

Bah Humbug, but at least we have Obama for 4 more years.

Thanksgiving to Christmas is one big holiday season. Good time for happy thoughts.

Thanksgiving is an underrated holiday when it comes to TV Specials.

  • lll

    Couldn’t agree more.

  • Ben

At least Thanksgiving has some History channel/PBS documentaries on the first, real Thanksgiving that the Pilgrims and Native Americans participated in. What about Valentine’s Day? There are no TV shows on how Valentine’s Day was started. Ever wonder why we celebrate Valentine’s Day, how it got started? There should be at least one documentary for that day.
For the record, I vote for the Christmas season to start after Thanksgiving, but, since the department stores don’t make that much money on food, they like to start it after Halloween. Halloween is the seconds biggest money making holiday, after Christmas.

The fact that Christmas shopping season now starts after Halloween instead of Thanksgiving concerns me. That’s nearly two months before the actual holiday.

I’m with you Dan S. I hate x-mas, especially when it comes to television.

Can’t wait until after the SB, because that’s the “slow season” at my dead end retail job. We’ll be pretty busy the week leading up to Thanksgiving and the whole month of December, then New Years and Mardi Gras/SB in NOLA, it will be HELL on Earth.

  • SVU: Fringe Division

But I’m really waiting until after Finals are over so I can watch my DVR’d shows and finally free up some hours.

  • Pavel

Eh, Christmas can wait for now. I’m looking forward to the New Year more.

I’m still young at heart–already decorated for Thanksgiving, but can’t wait for Christmas!
