wow they downright beat the walking dead
Are you people serious? Romney concession speech 12:55am.. Obama speech near 2am.. I barely was awake to see Obama’s speech.. But what it comes down to.. Fox News so called big ratings for the year mean NOTHING. it did NOTHING for Romney. Bye Romney. Thank GOODNESS it is over. 4 MORE YEARS AHAHAHAHA…
I jumped around between ABC and MSNBC. When the returns started coming in, it seemed to be too good to be true. So I switched to Fox News, because I knew they would never suggest Obama was winning if he wasn’t. Got to see Karl Rove’s meltdown, what a treat.
I may have been happier this time around than four years ago.
Any news on “underemployed”?
For those attempting to use a narrow view of the ratings to compare the relative popularity of the newsrooms of CNN and Fox, the comparison in the above numbers is, let’s call it, Faux.
The reason is that from 8-10 p.m. at least, Fox News was carried over the broadcast airwaves on the Fox broadcast network too. You want to add the average 2.0 demo rating and 4.95 million average viewers to the Fox total.
But, even that doesn’t give a true apples to apples comparison, since the extra exposure brought more viewers to the Fox coverage than would have watched otherwise.
And then…. there were the local news cutaways.
For one primetime evening at least, it can be said that even with the combined Fox audience, it doesn’t equal or surpass the combined news audience of all the other cable news channels combined.
You go Cnn!
My mom called me when I was still asleep to ask if I was watching the Obama speech. It was 1 AM!!! No, I went back to bed, but I did catch it before I went to work.
Obama!
How great is it to see all the bickering and sniping at Fox Comedy News. Good to see CNN do a great and unbiased job. When people want to see serious reporting, they go to CNN. Watching Carl Rove melt down was like watching a little bratty child who didn’t get his way. There’s no serious reporting there and they showed what a sham of a “news” organization they are.
Hey joe. At least when romney lied nobody died (Libya attack)
Joe. Romney lost by one point. Osama lost tons of votes compared to 2008. 2014 is coming:) watch oit baby killing .food stamp libs:):)
@Mark3….But when Bush lied, thousands of GI’s died. Short memory, huh?
CNN do a great job. That John King and his touchscreen are amazing. I flipped to Fox News for a few minutes and laughed out loud at how ridiculous they were. Just shows that for special events coverage, people trust CNN. Fox may get better ratings for every day “Loudmouth TV”, but not for election night.
@Mark3
Hey joe. At least when romney lied nobody died (Libya attack)
Oh yeah? well then I am so glad Romney didnt won Because you know i Dont want my friends to die in another war Iran or may b e Russia you know …
CNN did fantastic job

@Mr Mickey
I’m saying with it being the election it did pretty well. And the other times its been on Tuesdays it’s done well. Even though it was down in viewers it still got a .7 and te past few weeks its got a .8, again not bad for Election Day. Plus about a month ago Smackdown got a .6 and .7 so I can only imagine if Tuesday was Smackdown’s regular night (and not election night) it could reach a 1.0 or better
The good news for CNN is that people who don’t typically watch cable news watch CNN during big events. The bad news for CNN is that people who don’t typically watch cable news watch CNN only during big events.
By next week, the added viewers will be gone. Ratings for Erin Burnett OutFront, Anderson Cooper 360 and Piers Morgan Tonight will return to normal.
The Fox News numbers are deceptive because they were also shown on Fox affiliate broadcast stations. That is where I watched it.
I’m glad to see CNN do well here and beat Faux News among younger viewers, even if CNN is sometimes laughable and don’t report in any kind of depth. They’re making a concerted effort to air viewpoints from both Dems and Reps (although of course they ignore third parties… you have to go to Al Jazeera English or other small international news channels to hear anything about those) instead of being biased on one side or the other like MSNBC or Faux News.
I’m actually surprised Faux News didn’t get bigger numbers from us liberals switching to them after 11 p.m. to see how they would entertainingly melt down and start the Republican in-fighting and making crazy excuses for why they lost. I NEVER watch Faux News, but I watched it Tuesday night to hate-watch them and see them go mad.
@Mark3, you don’t know anything about how terrorists think. As M. Jones puts it, it’s nuts to think that “somehow sufficient man-musk from an American president can dissuade any potential terrorist from laying his finger on an American diplomat.” They’ll attack us just as much under a Republican administration as under a Democratic one. Anyway, there were more attacks on U.S. diplomatic targets during Bush than Obama:

Whoa! CNN
Well at least nobody on FoxNews was happy that the hurricane hit the east coast when it did…….to bad the same can’t be said for MSNBC’s fellow retard Chris Mathews! Although it was great to watch Karl squirm at least we wasn’t happy people died so his man could get elected!
I’m just glad the election is over now maybe Liberals/Democrats/Conservatives/Republicans can stop making themselves look so f-ing stupid. Stop cheerleading over people who could care less about you and actually hold these people to some sort of standard. I see Republican/Democrats promising stuff all over the place and when it doesn’t happen do you morons care, no you just continue to blindly vote for same type of people because of the magical R or D behind thier name.
Then again the people of this country elected George Bush twice so I really shouldn’t be suprised we gave this guy another shot we seem to reward failure in this country.
