I love Karl Rove trying to downplay Obama winning saying he won with less votes than he did in 2008. WHO CARES? He WON. That’s all that counts when you are getting re-elected. OH NOES, he got less votes this time around! What’s sad is that he was ABLE to beat Romney with even less votes than he did in 2008…..ha!

  • Stefwhit

Rachel Maddow!!!! She ruled the night~ amazeballs!

FOX News has been taking a beating on Twitter and the on air antics from Karl Rove obviously didn’t do the network any favors. Most sane people know of the bias on FOX (and MSNBC), but misleading people and getting exposed as liars is generating all sorts if bad press and I’m sure they lost viewers, no doub these numbers show a little of that.

I do agree that these numbers will all settle and return to look more like they used to, but don’t be surprised to see a permanent small dip w.our friends over at FOX.

I said it before I will say it now, if you make you money attacking the other side it’s the best for your network that the other side is in power. Same deal for MSNBC, it would have been in their best interest ratings wise if Romney won.

I am guessing somewhere Murdoch is laughing all the way to the bank Obama won, it makes his new media empire more relevant.

  • Sam

    @ Paul G,

“The question Republicans and conservatives need to ask is not why voters showed up for Obama, whose turnout wasn’t exactly extraordinary, but why millions of their own voters, people who had pulled the lever for Bush and McCain, didn’t do the same for Romney or simply stayed home.”

The republicans turnout was almost identical to 2008, Obama won while missing about 9 million of his supporter who stayed at home. The question the republicans should ask themselves instead is : why couldn’t we get those 9 million to vote for us instead ? Why did we lose +70 of the Latino vote, +90% of the black vote, +75% of Asian vote, +55% women vote and +65% of the young vote ??

There are not enough rich, white old men who go to church around anymore !

  • Mark2

^Yeah it’s been all over the cable and broadcast news and especially online. Fox News has lost what little credibility it had. Their brand name has taken a huge hit because they placed their bets on Rasmussen, Rove and Morris.

  • Stefwhit

    @Mark

There is some truth in that, no doubt. MSNBC came into prominence when Bush was in office and FOX saw record numbers during Obama’s reign. But what is happening now is something brand new~ FOX got exposed and on top of that fox got called out in the media for it. Karl Rove isn’t doing Murdoch any favors- trust me.

This time around it’s not JUST liberals and the the lefties making noise, to be honest most lefties find FOX amusing so Karl is great entertainment. The problem this time around is that their own audience who believed them are the ones who were mad that they could be so wrong. Some of the most sharp criticisms over their election coverage has come from the right, not the left. Just go on Twitter and type in ‘fox news’. It’s one thing to alienate the other side and quite another to piss off your core audience.

I do agree that they will likely return back on top but they tooj a hit this time around and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some sort of lasting effect.

  • TheBoss1

Outstanding! You are 100% correct in your remarks.

  • Sicilian Papa

I wouldn’t get to scared yet lefties the 4th broadcast network is a long way away from raising enough money. Right now it is smart guys and girls sitting around in a room and what they are coming up with is brilliant.

A one hour newscast from 6.5 to 7.5pm. This will give real reporters time to do stories right. Fairness, they want to hold both sides accountable. Like I mentioned they will cover stories like Akin but they will give Akin a chance to make his case and the people decide. They will also cover stories like Libya and the response to hurricane Sandy. O. and his people would have a chance to make their case and the people will decide.

He said to tell any lefties that I talk to that they will be able to find Susan Rice and give her a chance to explain. What they want to do is have someone like Britt Hume and someone from traditional media head a board that would decide the stories. The feeling is if you get someone a little right and someone a little left you will have a better chance of covering everything. So both sides are mad at you!!!!!

Gone will be the days of hit and run leftest journalism. The corrupt propaganda media will be gone. The corrupt 1%ers at CBS, NBC, ABC will have to get real jobs.

I predict this thing will be huge 25-30 million people nightly.

Sam is right we need to appeal to a broader base of people. Watch how fast we start to gain when your propaganda wing is decimated.

  • Letmethink

Morning SP, a fourth station sounds great. Hope they make it.
Coffee, don’t know when you are returning but how do you think Ashley Judd will do against McConnell? An anti coal person in coal country—doesn’t sound like a mix.
Jeff looks like prop 30 passed. I believe you said you voted against it. How much will it raise taxes? Is it across the board or just the wealthy?

  • Sicilian Papa

Come on lefties FOX will rule the cable air waves until the 2525 if man is still alive.

MSNBC that bastion of truth. Well Tingles did tell the truth about hurricane Sandy. Didn’t he know that was a secret. Sandy was used by the lefts propaganda wing to help O. politically. They also covered up the terrible response to the storm the weekend before the election. If they had run stories about people freezing and starving 5 days after the storm with no FEMA in sight O. would have lost 5 million votes.

42% of exit poll respondents said their vote was influenced by O.’s wonderful response to hurricane Sandy. 70% approved of his handling.

Tingles told the truth. Didn’t he know that was a secret.

I have to run , but, this is short article worth the read.

The Real Reason Obama Got Elected

    Blues, you’ll like this part.

If you think Democrats alone are responsible for entitlement spending, you’d be mistaken. In the last half- century, entitlement spending has grown faster under Republican presidents than Democratic ones.

    Good Morning

@ I believe the stocks are taking this tumble because they have doubts, and NO confidence in the leadership of John Boehner being able to have any control of his party and his radical teaparty loons

So Wall Street is more concerned about the actions of Boehner than the President? Does that mean tha they feel Boehner has more influence AND IN FACT leadership than the President? If the President is a real true leader he would be able to overcome the opposition through comprimise and leaderSHIP!
The reality is that Wall Street does not have confidence in the leadership of the President to make it come together.

The left has to stop……smile that they won…….pack all the blame and finger pointing up with the last four years………….take responsability………..and lead. THAT WILL START THE REBUILDING OF CONFIDENCE THAT HAS LEFT THE PRIVATE SECTOR!!!

  • Ratboy

9 am EST and this is the Prez schedule for the day????????

Friday, November 9 2012All Times ET Next .

    No public schedule.

  • Moncon

All politicians should have to post their daily schedule so we can see exactly what they are doing. I want to know how many social functions vs actual work they do. Including the man at the top. Is it golf today or is it meeting with leaders of BOTH parties? I think we would get a real eye opener if hey operated this way.

  • Sicilian Papa

    @

    Ratboy

The lefties are coming unglued. Yeah Boehner is the reason the markets are tanking. If only the country had Nancy Pelosi the markets would be soaring.

The markets aren’t doing well because they fear an attack on energy. They fear higher taxes. They fear the cost of Obamacare. They fear plus 20 trillion in debt.

Take some responsibility lefties this is country you wanted. Now you have it, if it doesn’t work out, you own it.

Oh yeah, I forgot you still have your propaganda wing to blame House Republicans. The good news is people are brainstorming to take that away from you.

  • Sicilian Papa

Gee, the GOP is adopting the stance I took on mostly Latino illegal immigrants, I penned on this thread six months ago when I joined.

Duh, what took you so long bone heads. Don’t get duped by O. and the left. Make sure the border is secure before you grant amnesty. Path to citizenship? Just call it what it is amnesty. Don’t bother with all those stupid rules. Criminals get deported and the rest stay as our friends and neighbors. Case closed and it is the right thing to do!

  • Letmethink

    @Ratboy
I am almost at the point of agreeing with Ron Paul. This country may have already tipped too far. Some of the posters on here last night were like trains coming off the track. It is useless to post when that happens so I just went to bed. If that anger and mentality is what the left has become, then I say let them have it. Let’s go ahead and let them enact everything they want and then when it crashes as it will—who will they blame? Then and only then will people become aware of the problems we face and that free everything from the government will not work. If they think taxing the rich will help–go ahead. The truly rich like the Clintons, Bushes, Gores, Pelosi’s, Buffets, Gates have so much power they have tax codes written just for them. They will not pay more taxes. They will form charitable trusts and take salaries and perks from them the rest of their lives. It will hit the small business owners who have already been taking a hit. Maybe we have to crash hard now instead of dragging it out for years to get back to something that works. The crooked politicians on both sides who enrich themselves and are subject to no rules or laws need to be voted out and term limits must be enacted. I know the left will disagree. I love a passionate and intelligent debate but the anger, name calling and crassness exhibited here last night is beyond the pale.

  • Sicilian Papa

    @

    LetMeThink

    AMEN SISTER!

  • Ratboy

    @ Letmethink

good to see you! Here is what I dont understand looking at the posts here for the last couple of days. The lefties here won and won big between the prez and the senate but they are STILL so full of anger and hate and attack??? I understand the “Itold you so” and the “nanner nanner nanner” but the anger and hate is beyond understanding to me.
I was and am disapointed and I do fear we are heading into some even uglier times BUT…..like I said the other day, clean slate Mr President, prove your leadership and lead us out of this mess and I will say good job. But there are those here (who I fear represent the true feelings of the left) that are already blaming the right for what is happening in the last couple of days and projecting that blame to failures of the future.
Long and short though, as long as they get their “stuff” and dont have to pay for it, they are good!…………………I hope there is no feeling of guilt after we die because they will feel real bad as their grandkids pay for what they got today!
