Whatever. If B&B gets canceled, nobody will care, just as nobody cared about The Secret Flop last may. :D

    Long live Pedowitz! lol

How does irritating people work in your favor? People who work for networks have stated that they are more responsive to respectful fans when it comes to campaigns to save shows. At this point, the campaign failed. So now the over the top fans (there are normal ones) look like kindergartners having temper tantrums online.

Don’t get me wrong I wanted TSC to do well. They were based on some of my favorite books as a teen, but they failed creatively in many ways IMO. And I’m not the only one who thought so. Clearly, Pedowitz felt the same way. But again, from a logical, objective viewpoint TSC was expensive to produce while BATB is much cheaper. There is a distinct difference.

Last year I was really invested in The Secret Circle. Mainly because I wanted the show to be just as good as The Vampire Diaries. Although TSC tried, things just weren’t working out for them. Looking back, the show deserved cancellation. It had so much potential, but the crappy writing killed the show. Andrew Miller was a amateur and I hold him to blame for a ruining the show (he even made several mistakes during the producer’s previews about the show he developed!). That’s just awful.

Beauty and the Beast is a show I did not expect much from, especially with all those critics badmouthing the series before it had even aired. But I’ll admit that I’m falling in love with this show. Yeah it has it’s flaws, but which show doesn’t? At least BatB is moving a lot faster and is less confusing that TSC was so I’m happy the show got a full season. Let’s hope it keeps getting better and grows in ratings.

@AT – spot on with your post. TSC had a hella of alot of promotion(arrow). BATB Had moderate promotion or even less. TSC got high cost production- Kevin Williamson and Top notoch CGI and special effects. People on here are bitter and want to see the show fail. PPL want to see the BEAR in action. Even i do(LAST RESORT AND X FACTOR). Even Ringer had twice as much promotion then BATB

Kristen will always be Lana Lang,no matter what

Beauty and the Beast is wasting that timeslot after The Vampire Diaries but I believe the show isn’t dead yet. They should try it in another good timeslot like Tuesdays at 8PM or Fridays at 8PM.

  • Bizarro

I’m happy it got a full season and went up this week when TVD went down a tenth. Love both shows!

  • SPM

    @ Andy

If no one cares about TSC then why has it amassed well over 100,000 signatures from numerous peritions to bring it back for a second season? this includes the third most signed twitter petition of all time. The show’s facebook page also gets thousands of new likes every few days which imo is incredible for a cancelled TV show. ChillerTV has also bought the rights to repeat the first season beginning November 13th.

    Yes nobody cares do they!!!

  • Bizarro

I’m thinking that since Beauty is maintaing its own audience like TSC did. They should move it to fridays at 8 after the winter hiatus. I think it may help Nikita out a tenth and the show will have a better chance of surviving after this season if it gets 0.6’s. Cult should be moved to thursdays after TVD and the CW will still need a show at tuesday’s at 9 whatever show that moves there will surely die like always. The CW will probably get an import for the slot. M.D. will probably end it 13 ep run in January.

It’s so cute that you think that matters to anyone but crazy fans.

  • JJA

Don’t get too excited!! Its ratings suggest it will be canceled in May.

  • SPM

    @ Holly

The CW Network thrives on CRAZY FANS so whats your point?

  • Richard Steven Hack

I’m pretty sure it will air all its episodes, but by episode 22 in the spring, my guess is the ratings will be pretty low.

However, given that this IS the CW, “pretty low” would have to be .2-.4. It might not fall that low. It could stabilize around .6-.7 and be another Supernatural – or at least get another season.

I find the show rather “meh” myself. If they spent more time on the conspiracy, it might work. Problem is the conspiracy has already been mostly explained, so unless they intend to develop it more – such as, for example, producing another batch of “beasts” to hunt down Vincent or do something else conspiratorially – I’m not sure how far they can go with the premise. Just being another procedural crime drama with Vincent in the mix isn’t enough to hold this show for more than one season.

OTOH, it could be that the obvious developing romance between the two lead characters might be enough to hold the CW’s female viewers. That 1.3 for female viewers is a significant increase over the .9 overall rating. The CW is no longer trying to be “all female all the time” but I imagine that figure still works for them.

I wouldn’t call it a “hit” but it’s done better than most of the CW’s shows last season.

    @SPM

Some things you say aren’t that bad but when you call shows in their fifth and sixth seasons flops, it gives you no credibility. A flop = a new show that does bad and gets cancelled at the end of the season. FYI!

And hate of Mark Pedowitz all you like but if it wasn’t for him you wouldn’t have even had your precious show. If you remember Dawn PASSED on the show the season before. At least he tried!

    The CW Network thrives…

I don’t think that word means what you think it means!

  • SPM

    @ Jamie

I think you will find Dawn Ostroff was in charge when TSC got greenlit so I have no idea what you are talking about there.

    @ Ultima

    Very good…

“The CW Network thrives on CRAZY FANS so whats your point?”

They’ve hit their target with you?

  • AA

CW is probably regretting that they canceled secret circle for this crap.

This show is already getting 0.6 demo and its only november.

  • Jamie

    @SPM

Yes, she green lit the pilot two seasons running. Nobody knows if she would have ordered it last year. Pedowitz ordered it to series.

  • SPM

    @ Bill Gorman

I am a loyal devoted fan, not crazy.
