To all brainwashed MSNBC lovers: Fox beat MSNBC and the rest in TOTAL viewers, as always. But according to your celebration, viewers under 25 and over 64 do not count… Did your thrill up your legs do to your heads?
@.TCZA
I never claimed on this site to know all the facts or am a historian. I just know my own experiences. I was never taught how to be self sufficient or given any guidance in my life, ( as a child, young adult). I was raised by selfish parents too wrapped up in their own drama to give a d@mn about me. So everything I have done to get to where I am at was through my own need to survive. Yes, I have seen welfare abuse, generational welfare and I knew I wanted more for my kids and I will proudly say my kids have been raised to know they need to work and contribute in order to find success and happiness in life. We lived in a predominately welfare receiving apartment building here in Alaska and my husband and his brother were the only 2 you would see leaving every morning (7 days a week). I worked nights at a bank here in the proof dept to save on child are costs. We left Florida because we could not get a business going to save our lives. We have worked hard for 24 years together and now we should be earning our highest income, but I had to stop paying myself and take a job in order to show a modest profit. But again, no government help here. Sorry for the lengthy rant.
I’m not trying to stand up on a pedestal but those who deny welfare is a problem in this country is lying to themselves.
@ No “PUBLIC” nice try
well if you have ever looked at the site things like the veterns hosting would be there. the comments he made on friday were there etc. They are NOT posting things until the last minute for whatever the reason. That is not how the site normally works.
@Jeff–yes it does blow away pizza hut etc.you have a complimentary one coming if ever in southeastern Mi.
To The Republican Memebers of Congress:: Announce to the country that you will allow the Dems to have every bill they want, spend all the money they want, hand out all the entitlements they want, fulfill Obama Care, raise the taxes and fees on the rich…..and lets see if that philosophy works? maybe then, those that were taken in for the second time by our Huckster in Chief will understand what reality is…

I agree. I decided it was best to no longer respond to someone who was doing four things:
(1) Twist my words from ‘safety net constraints’ to ‘safety net elimination’
(2) Agree that we are heading for a very large and painful financial collapse/restructuring, but that the cause is due to not giving enough money to the poor, and not because the government is giving out too much more than it brings in going further into debt to create the cash to do so
(3) Imply that it’s ok to have red tape to restrict businesses which are the engine that drives the economy, but it’s not ok to have red tape when giving out free money
(4) Deny specific examples of abuse as ‘red-herrings’ (and I had more to provide but my posts were too lengthy as it was), and in return respond with generalized statements of entire families living in cars. What the other person seemed to not understand is that I WANT for the entire family living in the car to be a legitimate recipient of welfare to help them out, but not create a lifestyle for them, and thus a need for checks and balances. The other person seemed to be a nice person with a caring heart, but her perception was the antithesis of my own.
Your story is very motivational. Thanks for posting.

Hopefully the consequences of liberal policies will not be as bad as some say it will be, but if they are, it will still be Bush’s fault to the liberal, and that it was so bad that there was nothing Obama could do. If only Obama could have taxed the wealthiest americans at a 100% rate, then that additional 40 days of debt-free government spending would have saved this country.

HERE HERE!! WELL SAID! GOD SAVE THE KING!!
The problem for me as a conservative independent is that the liberals are partially right since Bush was a giant Donkey dressed in an Elephant suit. But the problem is a whole lot bigger than even Bush could have caused.
Now wouldnt this be a blow to the United States of America!!!
MSNBC’s Ed Schultz May Lose His Show To Washington Post’s Ezra Klein, Reports NY Times
Buried in a broader piece about MSNBC successfully becoming the liberals partisan cable news answer to Fox, The New York Times’ Brian Stelter reports a big piece of news that can’t make MSNBC’s 8 pm host Ed Schultz happy. When discussing evolving programming on MSNBC, the Times media reporter writes that the liberal network (which he also points out seems to have become even more liberal than Fox is conservative) is seeking to create more political programming on weekends. Then in the third to last paragraph of the piece, he casually drops this bomb…

Maybe you should apply for SNAP benefits and use the $120 monthly savings in your food bill to pay for a new SUV. Why not? It’s the latest fad. In fact, you’re stupid if you don’t, according to the USDA that is. After all, per the USDA, every $5 dollars in new SNAP benefits generates an additional $9.20 in community spending. So, you’ll be doing the country a BIG favor and you’ll eat for free, too!
^about the SNAP benefits, to be fair to the program, you’ll have to keep your bank accounts at a balance less than $2000 and have your gross earnings to be less than/equal to 130% poverty level and net earnings to be less than/equal to 100% poverty level. You’ll probably have to work under a different name or agree to receive payment under the table. We all know that this is never done.

I’d been thinking about a post of yours yesterday about the couple buying chips and crackers with food stamps, only to load up their items into a shiny SUV newer than yours
Gee Thanks for bringing it up again, I was just about over it!
People do not realize it but you can have other assets just low or no income.
My ex-wife received a check in excess of $30k from me as part of the settlement and has a job, and bought a different car, and received food stamps!! She has tens of thousands of dollars in jewery, a doll collection that is worth well over $25k, and tons of “stuff”.
Now get this, she would take her daughter to the store, buy her groceries, pay for it with her food stamps, then the daughter gives her the money and then she uses that money for her cigarettes!
Now keep in mind, this is a woman who has assets, money, and lives well (her job is part time for something to do) Did I mention EX wife

The people at Huffpo don’t want him fired. 99% of the posts I read don’t want EK to replace him. They want EK to take the re-broadcast spot of Chris Matthews. They are starting petitions —etc.
Guess the people who watch msnbc have a right to express their opinion.
My opinion-I can’t watch either of them.

47.1 Million: Foodstamps Surge By Most In One Year To New All Time Record, In Delayed Release
This is the new normal thanks to Obama’s presidency. Trickle-up poverty has a hold on America and is an accomplishment for the guy who wanted to fundamentally transform America. This is Obamanomics.

Was US Embassy in Benghazi a Secret CIA Prison?
“We learn from CIA Director David Petraeus’s mistress that the CIA had taken some Libyans prisoner and were holding them at the US “embassy” and this was the reason for the Sept. 11th terrorist attack. This would explain the cover-up, lies and spin coming from the Obama administration. Remember, as soon as Obama took office, he signed an executive order that “banned” interrogations/torture and while running for president, Obama was against CIA black sites, which were instrumental in obtaining the information that led to bin-Laden’s courier and eventually to Osama himself.”
“Of course, we know Obama is a well-documented liar and actually has used the same CIA black sites he “banned.” If the US consulate in Benghazi was actually a CIA black-site, Obama violated his own executive order. As we know, the CIA was in Benghazi looking for weapons that the Obama regime gave them or gave them access to as they fought pro-Gaddafi forces. I can’t wait to see what flies out during the Benghazi testimony this week.”
Sue Happy: Obama Administration Set to Sue Banks, Schools & Organizations For “Racial Discrimination” on Everything From Credit Scores, Test Score & Graduation Rates
Obama To Unleash Racial-Preferences Juggernaut
If your organization has a policy or practice that doesn’t benefit minorities equally, watch out: The Obama administration could sue you for racial discrimination under a dubious legal theory that many argue is unconstitutional.
President Obama intends to close “persistent gaps” between whites and minorities in everything from credit scores and homeownership to test scores and graduation rates.
His remedy — short of new affirmative-action legislation — is to sue financial companies, schools and employers based on “disparate impact” complaints — a stealthy way to achieve racial preferences, opposed 2 to 1 by Americans.
Under this broad interpretation of civil-rights law, virtually any organization can be held liable for race bias if it maintains a policy that negatively impacts one racial group more than another — even if it has no racist motive and applies the policy evenly across all groups.
