TV Ratings Friday: 'Malibu Country' & 'Last Man Standing' Fall, 'Undercover Boss' Up + 'Grimm' & 'Shark Tank' Dip

ABC was number one in adults 18-49, while CBS was on top in total viewers.

On ABC, Last Man Standing garnered a 1.6, down four tenths from last week's 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. Malibu Country earned a 1.6, down seven tenths from last week's 2.3 adults 18-49 rating. Shark Tank earned a 2.1, dipping two tenths from last week's  2.3  adults 18-49 rating. 20/20 notched a 1.6, up a tick from last week's 1.5 adults 18-49 rating.

On NBC, Grimm notched a 1.7, dipping a single tenth from last week's 1.8 adults 18-49 rating,. Dateline NBC earned a 1.3, up two tenths from last week's 1.1rating.

On FOX, Kitchen Nightmares earned a 1.2, up two tenths from last week's 1.0 adults 18-49 rating. Fringe was even with last week’s 0.9.

On CBS,  Undercover Boss earned a 2.0, up half a ratings point from last week's 1.5 adults 18-49 rating. CSI: NY earned a 1.4, down a tenth from last week's 1.5 adults 18-49 rating. Blue Bloods scored a 1.5, up two tenths from last week's 1.3 Adults 18-49 rating.

On the CW, America’s Next Top Model garnered a 0.6, up two tenths from last week's 0.4 adults 18-49 rating. Nikita was even with last week's 0.3.

Philadelphia and Hartford excluded): 

*	In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.8/7; CBS's "Late Show with David
Letterman," 2.7/7; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 2.7/6; and "Jimmy
Kimmel Live," 1.5/4 with an encore.  

*	In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results
were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3;
"Nightline," 0.9/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3 with an encore.

*	At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in
metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig
Ferguson" (1.3/4).  In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late
Night" (0.6/3 in 18-49) beat "Late Late Show" (0.4/2).

*	At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in
metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49
in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    I was expecting the ABC comedies to be down after last week’s bad LMS episode. I hope people give it a 2nd chance, it was good last night. I laughed a lot. Didn’t hate the new daughter as much, but still hate her ex. He is very annoying

    Whether or not the numbers from ABC friday comedies are down we have to admit that the numbers are way better than tuesday comedies and leading ABC to a second place.I think even losing half ratings in a week wouldn’t be a worry for the network.

    At this point, NBC HAS to put Do No Harm at Fridays 8PM. They only have so much time to build on the hold Grimm has given them on 9PM.

    you guys need to check the online rattings too! it can’t be true, nikita is always trending worldwide at fridays, on twitter and getglue.
    Something is wrong, go check.
    Nikita is an awesome show and do not deserve this rattings.

    Two guesses:

    1. People take a while to figure out to tune in after a schedule change.
    2. Scantily clad babes in last nights episode.

    Nikita was given the worst possible time-slot and the worst possible lead-in, and I don’t really both the shows share a single Nielsen Box viewer.

    Let’s see if 8 pm time slot can do any wonders. Or else the show can be paired with Cult on Tuesday, pushing Hart Of Dixe to Friday.

    nikita still needs 38 episodes to air before syndication…is the cw really going to stick it out with 0.2’s and 0.3’s? they just need to cut their losses and move on…
