Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2012 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    big fall for abc comedies. didnt see that coming

    What The CW really need to do is cancel The Vampire Diaries and move Nikita to Thursday at 9/8c and bring back The L.A. Complex early and put it at 8pm on Thursday so Nikita can have a decent lead-in.

    That sounds about as sane as all the bring back Secret Circle comments. Yes, Nikita is doing terribly in the ratings, but on Friday at 9 considering where the ratings were when it was canceled Secret Circle would undoubtedly do more than likely worse and at best the same ratings that Nikita is doing now.And yes maybe it did well overseas as well and it could of done okay in dvd sales BUT the big difference is is that if The Secret Circle was renewed it would be in it’s second season right now and after this season it would have 2 more seasons of terribly rated episodes to get through to reach syndication numbers that the network wants while after this season Nikita will only need one

  • Oliver

    @Martin

    Even when mocking The CW, you forget about H8R. See what I mean?

  • Ram510

    Wow at Guys With Kids repeat doing a little better than Go On repeat. Would’ve guessed the other way around. Try should just give Guys With Kids a full season.

  • Oliver

    Networks should always make back 9 decisions based on Friday repeat ratings. It would be much more fun that way.

    And yes their is the summer option but while I see the network paying the extra money to put 1 last season of Nikita on summer to reach syndication I can’t see them doing the same for two terribly rated seasons of The Secret Circle.

    So, in the words of Olivia Pope – handled.

  • Mi

    Good for Grimm, now if NBC could get it a decent lead-in..

  • NikitaFTW

    Nikita is AWFUL! Horrible production. Pathetic acting. All this translates to the screen and ratings! The 0.3 that tune in are train wreck watchers!

    I am happy the CW is taking a loss on this show. Keep it on forever!
    (And international viewers is laughable when you look at the ad rates compared to their other shows.) As a whole the CW is doing bad, but Nikita definitely places them closer to oblivion with each passing episode!

  • Martin

    Didn’t realise first bit posted, thought it didn’t. Any delete button for the first one Robert or Bil?.

  • Totally Clueless

    Nikita is a terrible show. I see why the ratings are low. Too much bs that we have seen a million times before from other shows. A little less clothes on the female stars would help. That’s the route it needs to go if it wants to bump up the ratings a bit. Because the show itself is terrible.

  • Brian

    Great ratings for Grimm as usual! They’ll adjust up :)

  • jose Luis Venezuela

    i love Grimm

  • Brandy

    Martin, La Complex got the same ratings or worse than Nikita now so it wouldn’t be a good leadin.Also, VD is CW highest rated show so they’re not gonna cancel it for a few more seasons.

  • LT

    Shark Tank is so great. The show really deserves to be in the 3.0-4.0 range, that’s how good it is.

  • Martin

    @Oliver

    I wasn’t mocking The CW – I was mocking all The Secret Circle fans.

    And no – I don’t get what you mean by mentioning H8R. I chose The L.A.Complex because it’s ratings were worse than anything the network has and even when it was canceled its ratings were not as bad as The L.a. Complex.

  • Dan S

    Please oh please NBC give Grimm a better lead in at 8pm than warmed over leftovers. Whether its Hannibal or Do No Harm it should be a drama & not a comedy leading into Grimm. In other news ABC has scheduled How to live with your parents & Family Tools on Tues at 8pm starting in Jan. the episode order for FT has been cut down to 10 from 13 episodes.

  • Martin

    @Brandy – seriously. You don’t get sarcasm.

  • JR

    Not man people watch tv on fridays. So the people that do watch, have to choose between these programs. So why in the world would any sane person watch Nikita over Shark Tank? Are you kidding me? Shark Tank is the best!

  • Brandy

    I used to watch Nikita and thought it was good in season one but season two & three, the quality and writing became bad, it brought in boring useless Ryan & Sean, foucues more on other characters besides Nikita, Alex,Micheal,Amanda and focus more on sex,romantic relationships,love triangles and as someone else said, killing Percy and taking over Division is where the show should’ve ended and cause it didn’t ,it jumped the shark and season two Max/Cassandra sl was stupid.I don’t mind Mikita but not everyone else on the show needs a love triangle,to be coupled up(Sean & Alex, Sonya & Birkoffs).

  • Michael

    People just don’t care for Nikita, it is what it is.

    Malibu Country, just isn’t funny. Which is a shame, Reba has great comedic timing. Her first sitcom is a classic!
