Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2012 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @senor chang

I think you transposed Go On’s numbers with ANTM’s. Go On had 2.4 million viewers to GWK’s 2.1 million, but yeah, GWK increased a tenth in the demo from the lead in.

For some reason, I think a lot of the audience still equates TV comedy to multi-cam with a laugh track. Old habits die hard and, for some, never do.

I can’t think of ONE single-cam that is a huge hit.

  • Oliver

    Uh, Modern Family?

Nice for Shark Tank’! First place!

  • Ultima

There are clearly other factors driving The CW’s support of the show. No, we don’t know what they are

Yes, we do. Warner Bros thinks that eventually, through syndication, they can make a profit off of Nikita.

  • Ultima

I can’t think of ONE single-cam that is a huge hit.

    Modern Family?

    The Office?

  • Michael

Anyone fell in love with the two grandmothers on Shark Tank? Lol.

  • Charlie Sheen

I was very interested in seeing how well LMS would hold up after all of that backlash with the changes of the show. Based on these numbers it was blown out of proportion and didn’t really hurt the show at all. LMS held up very well and proved why ABC was smart in making it the anchor instead of Malibu County.

Even though Reba dropped it held up really well behind LMS so these two shows are compatible and that’s a better sign going forward instead of living up to those huge numbers from last week which I knew would be an impossible feat to duplicate. If the comedies can stabilize close to these numbers they’ll be in good shape going forward, I’m still surprised they stayed this high I expected a huge drop-off this week for both shows. ABC could definitely benefit expanding to two hours next season for this block. Shark Tank continues to do real well in the demo and needs to move to Thursdays.

Good growth for Blue Bloods as this is the first time its been that high in viewers this season. CSI: NY continues to be stable but CBS made a very good move in placing UB to lead-off.

Grimm continues to hold well for NBC but its all on an island on its own.

I think FOX should definitely just move Kitchen Nightmares to the summer and save Mob Doctor and bring it over to Fridays.

Very disappointed in Nikita’s numbers after growing last week and the hype over Amanda’s return. Nikita would definitely benefit moving back to the 8pm hour in three weeks.

  • Skyfall 007

I agree ABC’s are not bad at all their actually pretty solid I was also expecting Last Man Standing to really drop this week and maintained most of its premiere audience. I’ve gotten used to the new daughter already but the boyfriend needs to go.

Malibu Country will be okay if it rides off of LMS’ numbers, still more viewers than Nashville and the Tuesday comedies. I would like to see MC get retooled a little bit it has some potential but I feel like it needs some better direction like the original had.

Nikita could definitely benefit off of the timeslot move I never liked the 9pm slot anyways. Hurray for Blue Bloods the most watched show of the evening!

  • Mano

No cable station is going to buy Nikita. Dead Air gets a better demo.

  • Rick Wright

People forget that The Secret Circle wasn’t only cancelled for ratings reasons, there were huge problems of overspending putting the show together each week so it would not work on Fridays either, it was just too expensive.

  • Rick Wright

G4 would buy Nikita, even with the new re-branding in 2013 they would still buy it.

  • Mano

Hard to believe the writing and producing team on “Malibu” is the same as from “Reba.”

  • Mano

It’s time to cancel The CW and bring back the Dumont Network.

  • Mano

The execs behind G4 are those of USA. Have they bought ANYTHING from Warners?

  • Chris

I think LMS will continue to fall in the ratings until they decide to pull their heads out of their @sses and get back Alexandra Krosney. Next week I think it’ll get a 1.4 and then that’ll send them into panic mode hopefully. They can’t just keep on ignoring their fanbase’s complaints to bring back the way it was in season 1.

  • Tony ^_^

I know I’ve said that “Nikita” would be hard to sell to syndication, but maybe it has a chance (shock! :o).

“‘Till Death” aired (airs??) in syndication on my ABC affiliate (at like 1:00 AM) but I’m sure Sony still made some money from that deal. And that had some pretty awful numbers when it first aired on FOX…

“Nikita” doesn’t have to have “Big Bang Theory” syndication ratings, since Warner Bros. will probably still make money off of it…

  • Denise

Hurrah for Blue Bloods!!! Always the top show on Fridays. Best show on tv. They need more mention here. Lets see more hype for BB being consistently number one.

  • JRG

Why do people talk about Nikita and syndication? If no one is watching now, who is going to watch reruns? Who are they going to sell it to, Bulgaria and local station 7.3 on your converter box?

  • Denise

I must say that I will miss Jennifer Esposito on Blue Bloods and really hope that she gets well and comes back to the show.

  • Brandy

UltimaMartin, there have been a few posters actually serious about canceling VD-cause they don’t like it- last season.Youd be surprised how some people’s minds work.
