@mark,
My number is for people who can vote. Get off your high horse about likely and registered voters. We are talking about the words being used by MSNBC which was “this election shows that Obama has the overwhelming support from the American people.” If you make that statement you have to count all American’s over 18 that could vote but decided not to vote. Many “Occupy Wall street” people stated they didn’t vote in protest of the way our government works. Also you have to add the other party votes into the number. You can’t just say that 4% more people supported Obama than supported Romney and forget about the rest of the people who voted third party.
The numbers are clear, the election only proves that 27% of the people over 18 in this country support Obama’s ideas. It also proves that 26% of the people over 18 don’t support Obama’s ideas.
@Mark,
I think that way for every election. If you want to claim a mandate or overwhelming support of the American people you need to prove it by proving support of all Americans able to vote. Isn’t it time that we care why so many people don’t vote?
@cathy
mark2 is’nt very bright.
