Due to the nature of live  programming the ratings for NBC (NFL Football), & FOX(Football Overruns)  are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

NBC was number one among adults 18-49 and with total viewers.

On NBC, Sunday Night Football (Texans/Bears) earned a preliminary 7.0 adults 18-49 rating from 8:30-11:00PM, down 4%  from last week's 7.3 rating.

The start times of FOX's animated shows were delayed about 20 minutes due to football overrun, rendering their preliminary ratings meaningless. The final numbers for the programs, including the 200th episode of Family Guy will be available tomorrow.

On ABC, America's Funniest Home Videos earned a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating, down 18%  from  last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. Once Upon A Time garnered a  series low 2.7down 23% from last week's 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were way too optimistic, probably because you did not anticipate  FOX’s football game running way over. Revenge scored a season low 2.4, down 11% from last week's 2.7 adults 18-49 rating. 666 Park Avenue scored a 1.3 among adults 18-49 rating, matching  last week’s series low.

On CBS, 60 Minutes earned a 1.7, down 50% from last week's 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. The Amazing Race scored a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating, down 8%  from last week's 2.6. The Good Wife tied last week's series-low 1.7 adults 18-49. The Mentalist matched last week's 1.8 adults 18-49 rating.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

seriously those of you that claim that you dont see enough ads for scandal there is i’ve seen scandal being advertised like 5 times in every show that i watch in abc AND abc gave its biggest lead in which is a 3.3 but only managed to hold a 2.0 so that show that abc really cares for it. its only steady because of the huge lead in try putting it on a tuesday at 10 with no lead in and then see if it holds that lead in. private practice was also steady when it was after greys. scandal was renewed because of greys. so people dont say that scandal doesnt get promoted enough because it does. ive seen shows that have gotten above a 3.0 rating with very little promotion.

    @bill gorman
please ban max because this has been going on for a really a long and it needs to stop, dont you see that a lot of people are getting annoyed and pissed by this guy. the content and the way he says it isn’t enough for you to ban him. this page is for ratings and talking about ratings but all he does every week is wrtie hateful comments about revenge. hes making it hard for so many people to look at the rating board. can you please just ban him because i’m sick of him this needs to stop

  • Danie

The Mentalist last night was amazing, one of the best episodes this season!

Glad it picked up the ratings at 1.5, improved to 1.8 and that people watched until the end, it really was a great episode!

  • alexis

I am an OUAT fan. Stop making excuses, people. Red’s just not a compelling and interesting character to carry the entire episode.

  • jimmy

calm down people…a number of people are away from their homes this Holiday weekend. It does make a difference. They’ll adjust back up in two weeks.

  • danny94

At the End of the day REVENGE can pull a 2.4 despite heavy competition and a weaker lead in, and SCANDAL can only pull a 1.9/2.0 despite a stronger lead in and weaker competiton. There really is NO! comparison REVENGE is the STRONGER show so DEAL with it.!

  • frodo

Scandal gets advertised every hour on ABC, sometimes more than once, its just a weak show that has been given the best lead on ABC because of Shonda Rhimes and what she has done for ABC. By the end of the season Revenge will get renewed but Scandal is really a toss up. So if anything Max should be worried about that. Revenge will adjust up to a 2.5 which is much higher than what it was getting in the Spring. If anything this proves that even on a tough night Revenge can get a fairly good rating and most of all that it is not dependent on Once Upon’s rating.

  • Moe

Yikes. I wonder what happened to Once?

  • Holly

I’m endlessly amazed at people’s inability to ignore a couple of silly comments by Max…

  • The End

    @Holly

    Hear hear.

  • The End

    @Bill Gorman

Ah sorry about that, while I was aware of your policy on sockpuppetry. I’ve seen evidence in my time here that you and Robert do actually ban people who are being overly abusive/disruptive on here. I’ve responded to a few such people when I’ve seen their posts informing them to be more respectful towards you both, before their posts vanish.

Lately you seem to have a lot of people calling for Max to be banned, when all these people need to do is just ignore him.

You’re right, we do also ban people who are abusive vs. other commenters (or us) when we see it. That happens so rarely, that I neglected to mention it. The vast majority of people banned are for sock puppetry, and even then, the numbers are very small compared to the overall number of commenters.

To others, what we don’t do is ban people who you might perceive as abusive towards a television show.

This idiot Max is “starting to damage my calm.”

Revenge is still doing fine. Madeleine Stowe is one of the better actresses on TV. And although I don’t watch Scandal or have any interest in it, I’ve decided it needs to be canceled and pulled immediately – just to piss this moron off.

This week’s Revenge was pretty good, although I think Emily had better watch out since I think her “deal” with Mason Treadwell is pretty weak.

I liked OUAT’s episode this week because it focused on the hottest babe on the show: Meghan Ory. I first noticed her on an episode of Sanctuary (the one with Tesla creating new vampires by accident.) I liked last season’s episode where they revealed that “Little Red Riding Hood” was actually “the big bad wolf” herself. That was clever. :-)

  • JJ

I thought that was one of the weakest OUAT episodes of the series. They kind of pushed the “I believe in you Red even if you don’t believe in yourself!” a little too hard, it came across as overly cheesy.

  • vikrammangat@yahoo.com

DVR numbers will be huge for Once Upon A Time.
    Messed up Neilson ratings.

  • John A

But MAX is that Intensity2012 guy. You banned him last year please do it again.

  • Tabitha

I really didn’t like this episode of OUAT, I thought it was rather boring, seemed a bit off the main story line, combine that with the not so great acting skills of Red and you have a major rating drop. But I truly believe it will be back in 2 weeks strong as ever.

  • Just

    Jesus guys

they can’t ban max because THEY ARE max

    stop arguing with him

  • Fred

The 2 week break for OUAT and Revenge will give fans plenty of time to catch up via DVR, ON DENAND etc….
666 Park Ave has improved immensely since the pilot episode. Horror and broadcast television doesn’t usually mix well.

Still anxiously waiting for ABC to make a decision regarding the Sunday 10:00 slot. I’m rooting for Nashville. Would love to see it thrive on Sunday.

The void on Wednesday at 10:00 can be filled with the underated Last Resort or a new drama.

ABC can’t afford to let those aforementioned dramas struggle in their time slots any longer .

  • Fred

When OUAT focuses on The 2 best characters (Rumpledklilskin and The Queen) its unstoppable.
When the producers finally dump The boring Mulan and to a lesser extent Sleeping Beauty, OUAT will be in better shape.

Last season OUAT was nearly flawless , wIth many exceptional episodes and just a sprinkle of mildly entertaining filler eps
This season while still enjoyable , is noticeably less enchanting than last season.
