    Well, sadly I don’t know if we will ever see Revolution break 3.0 again :’-(

  • CrimTV

    @Jordan

    It’s only gotta rise 4 tenths, I don’t wanna be too optimistic but I can see it rising next week perhaps to a 2.7 or 2.8 and it should get a rise for it’s final episode before the hiatus.

    @omabin
    I wouldn’t say that female viewers watch the show in spite of Katic. Women like to watch and root for strong female characters as much as they like to watch male eye candy.

    @Ultima
    Long hiatuses are not good for shows. A strong show that is well-advertised will certainly survive a long hiatus, but such a hiatus does test the loyalty of viewers. If the show is new and hasn’t caught an audience yet, or most of the audience consists of casual viewers, a hiatus can do some ugly things to a show’s ratings. For every Grimm, you have a Flashforward, V and The Event. And every week a show isn’t on is a lost opportunity to catch more audience with a new episode.

    But I agree with you that other factors (like poor writing or leads that grate) usually create that fatal flaw that the hiatus exacerbates, rather than the hiatus itself.

    People shouldnt assume just because Walking Dead does well after a hiatus that Revolution will. Walking Dead breeds more fans. Fans discover the comic and subsequently want to see the show to see how it is realized on tv. New fans can go to netflix and catch up on the old episodes. The show has buzz and people are able to jump on board before the new episodes begin. The break really does let new people join in on the phenomenon. Will Revolution be able to generate interest during its hiatus? It really needs to do so, lest it be forgotten.

    @Kourt

    Castle deserved to be adjusted down. I am a fan since day one but that was a horrible horrible episode.

    I agree. Like I said in an earlier posts, the reaction to the episode last night has been very negative when compare to prior episodes. Most people just hated the documentary nature of the episode.

    For me this is the first episode in more than 4 years that I immediately deleted from my DVR. I’m not a fan of the documentary style. I have never seen any series do them successfully, and I don’t know why they keep trying. The constant camera movement and the hamming it up for the camera are too distracting from the storytelling that I normally lose interest immediately.

    ouch Castle , Revolution is not a good show but Hawai Five O is so bad

  • madbengalsfan85

    Castle/DWTS drop doesn’t really surprise me considering ABC affiliates in KC and Pittsburgh were showing MNF…and look, just when I thought Mob Doctor couldn’t get any lower, it goes and drops even lower.

    Long hiatuses are not good for shows

    They’re not bad either, which is my point.

    For every Grimm, you have a Flashforward, V and The Event.

    V – 5.2, 3.8, 3.1, 3.1, 2.8, 2.4, 2.2, 2.2, 1.9, 2.1, 2.3, 2.3

    Flash Forward – 4.0, 3.7, 3.0, 3.1, 3.1, 2.7, 2.6, 2.6, 2.4, 2.1, 1.9, 1.8, 1.5, 1.6, 1.4, 1.6, 1.6, 1.4, 1.6, 1.6, 1.3, 1.3, 1.6, 1.3

    There’s no way that someone completely unfamiliar with how these shows were scheduled could figure out if these shows had hiatuses or where they were.

    The Event did have a noticable fall finale to spring premiere drop (1.9 to 1.4), possibly due to the lack of promotion via Sunday Night Football, but one example does not make a trend.

    ABC is stuck in last place at 10pm, and will stay there until they put Castle somewhere else.

  • Nope

    come on CASTLE be strong

  • Chris

    eridapo–guess again. We will see lower ratings for Castle later this season. :)

  • Sarah

    Like I said earlier, I totally blame last week’s epi of Bones (with Sweets) for this week’s numbers.

  • cass rowland

    technically castle gotten a 2.0

  • atlanta

    @Sarah Have to agree, let’s get over this “give the supporting cast some quality air time” and bring it back to the main couple and crime fighting. That’s why we tuned in and what we want to see, with a little Hodgela thrown in.

  • Lena

    A 2.1 for Hawaii. Finally, we have a winner here .
    I see CBS dropping that NCIS new project and developing and trying a H50 spin off instead .Of course they will put O’Loughin there too because he is such a great actor, and later they will sell the series to TNT for $4 million per episode. CBS has a real strong franchise here. Viewers cannot get enough.

  • eridapo

    @ Chris

    Hadn’t seen you in a while so I guess you came out of your Castle hating shell again.. LOL

    “the revolution drop is worrying… I thought it was done falling when it improved a few weeks ago on the previous result but it looks like i was wrong. I am not sure it will survive the hiatus”

    It still has a LONG way to go, but even I will admit now that at current course and speed, it could cover that LONG way pretty quickly.

  • Methix

    @Lena

    Your insane , they wont be doing a H50 spinoff and putting the main cast member from H50 on a spinoff , what have you been smoking today , H50 was pulling high 2`s to middle 3`s last season, with 9-11 million per episode they are not going to make a spinoff while it is getting low 2`s and under 8 million viewers, AlexO’Loughin wont be going anywhere.

  • Methix

    Whats that the 3rd or 4th week in a row H50 has beaten castle now? Even though H50`s ratings have fallen , due to revolution , On the upside it`s still keeping its trend it had last season which is beating castle.

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Bill Gorman

    “technically castle gotten a 2.0″

    technically, as in a “this is not the correct number but it is what I say it is” way?
