Come on people! Revolution is awesome! Its getting as good as cable shows!
@Richard Steven Hack
Revolution was pathetic.
This show is just becoming THE worst new show this season. It’s ratings have got to collapse – like Ringer’s last year – before spring is over. There’s just no “there” there.
——————–
Nah, there is also “Beauty and the beast” on CW. I still wonder which of these tv shows is worse?
WOW 90210 held to the 0.6 if it can stay at this level and even rise more it will get renewed for a final season.
@ateofi: Elementary takes the cake and eats it too. Its the worst new show – unmitigated disaster of the season.
Revolution gets all the hate because people want more reality and boring procedural crap. Lets give it some leeway. Even with its uneven writing, it actually manages to be interesting and at times, great. By the 8th episode of Walking Dead, I was facepalming myself. Now look at that show. It has lazy writing even now, but it manages to hide it fantastically.
@GKdude,
I have respectfully disagree with you as on pretty much everyhing. I enjoy “Elementary” for the lead actors and their good chemistry and some intresting crime cases. As for “Revolution” I think fans want interesting and compelling stories, decent acting and writing plus likeable characters that don’t behave like their brains have been cut out. Unfortunately, “Revolution” is exactly the opposite to what I wrote in previous sentence.
It’s amazing how the audience abandons CBS at 8:30 and comes back at 9:00
Fake ‘chemistry’ isn’t the way to make a show likable. I saw four episodes of Elementary and think its ridiculously stupid and boring. If you can’t figure out the cases before the great ‘Sherlock Holmes’ does, then you have to agree that you don’t have enough attention span or deductive sensibilities.
Castle is good for another season.
Yikes for Mob Doctor. Now its getting even lesser numbers than Fringe!
Partners needs to be cancelled.
NBC still winning the night. Good for the Peacock.
I agree Castle will be back, but I think it would be flat-out nuts for ABC to keep it where it is now. They have coddled that show far too long already–it’s doing horribly in syndication, and basically it’s been a bad investment right down the line.
Bones is toast. 4th in its time slot and stories that are too preachy. Since the stars have been more involved in the stories, they have veered into Lou Grant territory with their political bent.
Proposed CBS mid-season Mondays:
8pm: HIMYM
8:30: 2 Broke Girls (returnt to old time—not cutting it at 9)
9pm: Mike & Molly (new time–it ranks higher than 2BG)
9:30: Rules of Engagement (good lead in to H50)
10: H50
castle looks to be a dead show. 2 years of pathetic ratings.
@Michael–I like that schedule, though I doubt it’ll happen.
One more tweak–get rid of Jennifer Coolidge on 2BG–also Caroline’s annoying new boyfriend. Get the show back to the first half of its first season, when it was clicking on all cylinders. It’s not an ensemble piece, and they should cease and desist with all attempts to broaden it out.
I basically am done with CBS Mondays for now. And it was the ONLY night on network primetime I looked forward to last season.
Elementary = awesome, and it seems it’s staying. So much, it got the Superbowl timeslot. I adore it in every way!
Revolution mostly bores me. It’s one of the last things we watch every week, sometimes on Saturday, after we’ve caught up with everything else.
Rvn will probably go up next week. After the 4 month haitus it will be lucky to break a 2! I think one reason why DWTS is falling is ABC wants it to be 2 hrs even when there are fewer contestents. Maybe CBS should sell Partners to NBC. It still has better ratings than most NBC comedies and it would be a good leadin to TNN or it could come after TNN!
Elementary = Boring. That’s the last show I watch, after 666.
Revolution = Too good for network tv.
If you want Sherlock Holmes, watch Jeremy Brett–on DVD or PBS.
That stubbly-faced poser being rude to Lucy Liu in primetime isn’t Sherlock Holmes, and neither is the vacant-eyed twit on BBC America, and neither is Robert Downey Jr. at the multiplex.
@Chris,
how do you know “Castle” is doing horribly in sindication? Do you have any link to the source of these data? Thanks a lot
Elementary is a excellent show, I like that fact it reboots from the traditional movies and series. Plus the cast are out standing and chemistry is natural an unforced. Stories are great and writing is pretty sharp.
Hope this show gets a ton of seasons.
Hawaii Five 0 is still going strong, and by itself head to head with shows with great lead ins, is still consistent and growing.
Five 0 has a multiple of strengths:
A cast that instantly has chemistry at the start.
Great writing..most of the time.
It also doubles as a travel log and is a advertisers dream for vacation spots.
Plus the whole state of Hawaii appears to be supporting it’s production.
It might match the originals show 12 year run.
I’m glad H50 did a little better, that was such a great episode with really great acting. Wish Monday Night Football would be over where maybe we could get additional viewers hopefully.
@larrywitness, yep consistently getting over 10 mil viewers is awful for Castle. ABC are complete fools for renewing it right!?!?
